You know how you'd have that one place you'd go to after a long night of drinking?Or you wake up in the morning with your significant other and didn't feel like staying in? Well this is mine, place has huge portion and small price point, and GREAT food. I haven't ordered anything I have not liked. Honestly my Best friend and her moms always come here and I gave it a try. Yesterday we went and the younger waitress was servicing us. She was late on everything taking our order, coffee refill we had to ask the other waitress. Then it was food my friend got steak and the cook Cut up her whole steak. When it came to pay the total was 85. And some change, I gave her 90 but then my friends mom look at the receipt it was 75. Which wasn't right I let it go but then I started to think I know how much I gave her and then later on my friends mom called the older much sweeter waitress and she told her she will get back to us and she figured out the total which was 68.and some change ! Now this young waitress to took more money from me which ain't cool. If y'all go, go to the older nicer waitress. Worst experience ever I don't think I'll ever go back read more

The Bayside is the best restaurant in Visitaction Valley. Bar none. They are much better than all of their competition in every way. We have gone to the Bayside with large parties and small; at all hours of the day; and the food and service have always been excellent. The menu is pretty standard diner fare, with a few surprises. All in all, four stars for Viz Valley. read more

Arguably the best breakfast spot in Visitacion Valley. Not great but good. I been a handful of times now and haven't been disappointed. Today, I tried the Hamburger steak and eggs. It was really good. The hamburger steak had a lot of flavor but it was cooked too much for my taste. Service is friendly. Would recommend. read more

Hands-down my favorite place to eat breakfast in San Francisco. Absolutely delicious beans. It's a family run restaurant and they do an amazing huevos rancheros. The hash browns are flavorful and crispy, the eggs are done exactly how you want and the green salsa is delicious. But really the flavor of the beans takes the show. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and it was a great experience parking was easy since it was still early and bathroom outside was very clean which was a plus ... The atmosphere is chill and the view is enjoyable... I ordered the corn beef and hash and loved it though it was my fault I should've told them make the corned beef crispier... Excellent customer service the Latino guy that works there was great he served me and my boyfriend with the upmost service and I highly appreciate that ... Very friendly overall. You should like food if you're going to operate a restaurant. Unfortunately, there is no love of food among the owners, operators, or cooks here. I came for a visit because I thought this was the old Russia House location, although I knew Russia House was closed. Thought I'ld give this place a try nonetheless. Disappointed. And I think perhaps Russia House was in what is now a religious denominations office. Ah well. read more

My favorite goto spot for a quick breakfast or a good burger. This is a Double Rock and Hunters Point hidden gem from back in the 1980's. Save Bayside! We walk up to Bayside (or Baconside as we call it) aout once/week. Bayside has an awesome view and the staff is super nice. Bayside's lease is ending this year, and as far as I know it's set for demolition to make room for more houses--if you live in Little Hollywood, or Visitacion Valley, you know, there are really no other restaurants in the area! This place is awesome! Mexican-Salvadoran influenced dishes as well as solid American grilled food. Napales is a scrambled egg dish that is delicious and Pancakes with fried plantains is a perfect fusion of South American culture meets American breakfast staple. Service is top notch and yes there is parking on the side. A bit hard to find at first but well worth the search. Hopefully the wrecking ball of SF Progressive expansion leaves this baby alone for another 10 years plus. Enjoy. read more

This is our GO-TO breakfast place for not only myself but our entire family. It is neither fancy nor trendy but the prices are right on and the food is fabulous. More importantly, the staff and the family makes our family feel like one of their own and I can say that I can see this with other families both young and old that feel the same way. My kids have called it Pancake Lady since they were very, very little and that is how they knew it. Now that they are older, even though they know it is really Bayside Café, they still very affectionately still call it Pancake Lady and that is where they always want to go, so that says it all. I'm giving it one just to try to bring things under control. if you go here expecting four-star service, food, view, anything, you'll be sadly disappointed. there's nothing Wrong with any of it, and the view is at least high up, but it's of a frikkin' intersection! the food is bland, the service is decent, the menu is pretty varied, the prices are acceptable. my main point is this; there is absolutely nothing Special about anything here. giving it four stars, or five as some people have, is a travesty. shame on them! read more

I've been a loyal customer of the Bayside for a few years now but I'm pretty much done at this point. After many visits and meals, it's time to move on because not only has the quality of the food taken a turn for the worse, but to add insult to injury the prices have continued to increase and I can't justify spending $14 for a simple bacon and egg breakfast that is average at best. DOESN'T WASH HANDS!!! This was my second time here. Food is more than decent, but I sat at counter and realized this time that the sweet waitress handles money, but does not wash her hands. This is our first choice for breakfast. Great view of San Bruno Mountains (that's the southeast, Mac!) and good biscuits and gravy. My husband likes their pancakes. Great food, great view, unusually diverse and nice mix of patrons. A nice break from high income whites with twin strollers and entitled attitudes (can you tell I live in Noe Valley?). I go to this place for breakfast at least once a month because its right across the street from my house. Their service is always friendly, and you can see they work very hard and are always on top of it no matter how busy they get. The food is pretty average in my opinion, and its not always consistent, but I am never disappointed. The coffee isn't bad at all, and they always keep my cup full. I always opt for the green chilaquiles, the eggs Benedict or the pacific scramble. The burgers are good, as well as the corned beef hash combo. The menu is huge and they serve breakfast all day. They all work together to make sure every customer is well taken care of, which I really appreciate on busy days. I recommend trying the place out if you are in the area, but keep in mind this place is simply a small diner, so don't expect gourmet dishes or mind-blowing flavors. This is a cool little breakfast diner on the outskirts of San Francisco. It has an amazing view of San Francisco and the surrounding areas, and a great menu with a large variety of dishes to satisfy every craving. I'm a huge fan of the Eggs Benedict! Decent price and definitely a nice view of San Bruno mountain. I could imagine it was just like the famous waffle that folks talk about on the snow covered mountain in their skii's. It's the best waffle I've had but Ive never gone skiing. Anyway the crab dishes use canned crab. Minus 1 star. I can tell the dish was made with love, but I didn't like that minnced imitation red crab meat, yuck. The portions are huge and everything either in an omlette or accompanying some version of their eggs benidict was well distrubuted. They have a great variety inluding Mexican breakfasts.
