I asked what do you recommend. I don't know the name but attached a photo The sandwich consist of a bbq pork with I believe cheddar cheese and veggies like pickled jalapeños and pickles. It is a messy sandwich as it has a lot of sauce so maybe not best for travel or car. Definitely an eat now meal. The meat was cut thin and was very tender to eat I enjoyed that I didn't have to chew a lot. Taste was sweet, tangy and spicy They have a lot of other options if your feeling more basic or want to try something new The service is always kind and friendly :) Also lots of snacks and drinks

Always has a great selection of snacks and drinks. The store is clean and organized. Plus the owner is always very kind. Order the vig--it won't disappoint

Build Your Own

Surprised in a bad way. After being isolated due to Covid, it's been very difficult to concoct an appetite. I've been a huge fan of Ike's sandwiches with their generous portions and after reading absolutely rave reviews about this place on yelp, I decided to order via doordash. I ordered a "create your own" sandwich. I tried to replicate it to my order as close to my Ike's sandwich as I could from memory. My expectations weren't very high but unfortunately the sandwich I ordered can be equal to the climate of our economy, it felt like a shortage of everything in my sandwich (except for the bread which wasn't that good :( ) The ($16) sandwich i got was almost entirely bread! A generous and nice estimate would be me saying it had a distribution of 66% bread to 33% filling. And with that being said, I could barely taste anything but the bread which unfortunately wasn't even that appetizing. If you're hungry and have a go-to sandwich spot, I'd say it may be a safer bet going with your go-to. This place unfortunately didn't deliver this time, but maybe a different time.

Tried this place to get a breakfast sandwich. It was a tasty sandwich. It was appropriate for my craving for a descent breakfast sandwich. The nachos were good. I look forward to the rest of the menu in the future.

Mixed grill lamb kabob plate

Deliman grills chicken to tender smoky perfection. Shout out to Charlie and his crew, Louis on the grill and Juan who makes sandwiches. You can also get the most outstanding flavorful lamb kabob I ever had. However Louis is only grilling on weekends. And the lamb is an infrequent addition on Saturdays. Deliman has great sandwiches during the week as well. Check him out on 200 Ocean Ave not far from Balboa Park BART.

BYOS- dutch crunch with everroast chicken
Fiona T.

Ordered delivery through doordash.. took a little under 30 mins from ordering to delivery which is great! Ordered 2 sandwiches, Charlie hustle and byo. I ordered build your own on Dutch with everroast chicken, Swiss, lettuce, onions, mayo and mustard. I did not order them toasted since we weren't going to eat them right away and was afraid the bread will get soggy. Both sandwiches were delicious! The dutch crunch did not have the crunch but it was super soft and still soft the next day (was not able to finish the whole thing). The veggies were fresh and I loved that the chicken was deli sliced instead of thick cuts. Simple sandwich but packed alot of flavor. Will definitely order again whenever we're craving for a sandwich and that's pretty often! Lol. And thanks for staying open and having your regular hours during this sip! You're appreciated!

Glazed Donut
Donia A.

I ordered for delivery through grubhub, so I can't attest to any safety measures. Overall, the food was alright, nothing offensively bad but nothing great either. I got the breakfast sandwich with veggies, eggs, and cheese on a croissant. The croissant was fine, maybe a tiny bit dry; the eggs were a little gray but tasted fine; not a lot of veggies but there was a lot of flavor from the sauces (it's definitely on the spicy side). I also got some glazed donuts. These were alright as well but definitely not my favorite. They were on the dense/bready side which I don't really like in my donuts; almost reminds me of grocery store bought donuts.

Charley and Louie know what they are doing when it comes BBQ ! Just happen to stumble into this place due to the wafting scent of BBQ out in front of the store! They have BBQ chicken legs and thighs all done up with a Teriaki Glaze and lots of it too!! You can have three pieces over rice for $13.00!!! You can also go with the 3 piece 6,9 and 12 piece also! Very juicy cooked to perfection it was so delish!! Gentlemen thank you very much for a great lunch indeed!

Great quality sandwich! So good!

Food we ordered: - Tom yum omelette w/ shrimp - Thai tea French toast - Drunken noodles w/ chicken -- the noodles they used are not the typical noodles I'm used to but it was filled with flavor with a kick of spice. - Tom yum noodle soup w/ crispy chicken -- my favorite dish!! The crispy chicken was recommended by the server and it truly did not disappoint. The chicken was crisp and juicy and the noodles were cooked perfectly. For drinks we got the Thai iced tea, butterfly lychee fizz, and the coconut milk latte. I got the Thai ice tea less sweet and it was perfect for me ( I usually don't like it super sweet). The butterfly lychee fizz was very refreshing (could be less sweet for me) and the coffee was also very good! Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area or looking for brunch food that isn't your typical American brunch!

In my opinion Lapisara ranks in the middle due to the other excellent options available. Seated immediately--had a reso but on a Wednesday morning not really necessary. It took a long time for the single employee to get to us but we weren't in a hurry. Cappuccino was very good in a cute "bear mug" and very reasonably priced. We shared a pacific omlet--not much crab, lots of shrimp, and nice swiss cheese/scallions but tasted kind of fishy--potatoes were only avg. Son said huevos rancheros were average. Price point good for SF and portions adequate to share. Location convenient so we will try dinner there tonight before a comedy show nearby. Dinner-5++ stars; 4 of us Had dinner last night-6pm-reso but not needed. only one other group dining. Single Waitress was great-we let her know we needed to leave in about an hour for a show and she timed everything perfectly--we even had time for dessert. we ordered so many items that she brought over an extra table--we shared everything family style. Most Yelp reviews only mention brunch but the dinner was awesome--service; food: taste/quality, presentation, portions, prices we phenomenally low for SF ($200 with a bottle of wine for 4 people). We started with the garlic butter clams-small but tasty. Tuna tartar was excellent quality and enough to share. Samosas were more like empanadas--very good with peanut sauce so good it rivaled my own home made. We continued our culinary adventure with crab fried rice-delicious, a large portion and my son who lives in SF and has tried dozens of crab fried rice ranked it in the top tier. The pacific catch rice noodles with crab was also excellent-big portion, lots of crab, tasty. Final entree was their specialty-Mussaman Curry. Wow, tender meat/potatoe "stew" with a very unique flavor from the star anise/cinnamon and peanut--to die for. Creme Brulee was very good with lots of fresh fruit accompaniment My only complaint was a very limited wine selection. Lapisaia will become one of our regular spots for dinner!!!

I wouldn't call it spicy at all. The omelette felt small for the price and there wasn't much filling inside. It came with a side of potatoes that were really good. They had a nice crisp on the outside and were soft on the inside. I also got a regular coffee, and they do unlimited refills. The place was busy for brunch, and I liked the bear theme. Some of the coffees came in bear-shaped glasses, and some of the lattes had a decorative bear made out of ice.

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.
