So this was my first time trying this Deli ,,, I have to say it was pretty good . The meat was fresh , the topping are what you would expect . I got a regular Salami Sandwich, but they did have a lot of custom sandwich's on their menu . Nice location and easy to access , price was a little above average $15 for a 10' Sandwich,, but nothing crazy especially for San Francisco. Service was good and everyone inside was friendly. You wouldn't think much of this place when you're walking by, but if you're in the mood for a morning coffee and breakfast sandwich , you definitely need to stop by. For starters, the workers (specifically the gentleman taking the orders and serving the coffee) are extremely nice and welcoming. Him and the lady were the only two working and they were hustling! Pretty steady foot traffic but not too long of a wait. I ordered a breakfast sandwich "off the menu" referencing a google review image and the guy was able to complete my order. Fat Beli Deli is the real MVP with regards to being open early. They're one of the only restaurants that sales breakfast in this area that is open so early. I wish that their breakfast burritos had more vegetables in them, but for someone who likes meat and potatoes, they're burritos will probably be a hit for you. What I absolutely love about this deli is that they sale fresh juice. I always get a large tropical juice that comes with beets, celery, orange, carrot, etc. I always feel so healthy after I drink one. Please try their tropical juice and thank me later. Their customer service is great. The guy who works the register is super pleasant. The deli itself is kind of small with only a few places to eat, but overall has a local aesthetic to it. I did a build your own through Postmates, chicken salad with pesto (lots of toppings) on dutch crunch. Overall, the sandwich was excellent, very filling and fresh ingredients. The chicken salad was a little runny and messy due to excess sauce, but it was still great in flavor. The star of the show was the dutch crunch...oh my. This is what I call a proper dutch crunch, the right amount of crunch, chewy and sweet. The top crumb layer was perfect, it was beautifully cracked and sweet with a dense crunch. Talk about texture. Wow Fat Beli Deli delivered! I placed a large order for pickup and everything was correct and warm. First of all the 10" sandwich is enough to feed two people and the sandwiches are delicious! The sandwiches came on various types of rolls, which was a crowd pleaser: wheat, sourdough, sweet (french) and dutch crunch. They use Boar's Head deli meats, which are a great brand. I purchased an assortment of the Archie Bunker, Joe Pesci, California Club and Vegetarian. I personally had the California Club on a wheat roll and it was seriously delicious. The bacon was crisp, the avocado was thinly sliced and didn't fall off the sandwich, there was a great amount of meat and cheese on the sandwich and it was still warm by the time I was able to eat it. The vegetables all had great flavor, something you don't always get with deli tomatoes. The vegetarian in our group was pleasantly surprised by the pesto on the Vegetarian sandwich and said it was quite good. The prices are very competitive with local sandwich shops, as someone who places large orders on a weekly basis. I feel like I received a great sandwich for a great value. A nice touch is that they include mints with the sandwiches. Everything seemed Covid-19 compliant and they helped me to my car with the order. No indoor dining, but there are cafe tables outside. However, their schedule on Yelp is extremely inaccurate. Upon entering the cafe at 2pm and after purchasing 2 drinks for my stay to use the WiFi for a short moment, and most likely purchase dinner if the stay is longer, and yet, they told me that they'll close in 30 minutes. Would have appreciated if they told me upfront so I could go about my business elsewhere. I came in, looked through the menu and placed an order for the 5" hot pastrami sandwich on soft roll. The bread is freshly toasted and crispy, the crunchy texture is one thing I like about it. Also, the pastrami is flavorful, tender and juicy. Addition of provolone cheese and mustard gives the sandwich a boost in flavor. I don't write many sandwich reviews, but this sandwich shop is located in my neighborhood, and it's very good. Fat Beli Deli offers breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, salads, soup and a vast selection of sandwich options. Since I've been stopping by on my way to work and I don't work nearby, I usually have mine to eat in. There is counter top seating along the two windows and two small round tables that seat three apiece inside the restaurant. There are a couple of seats outside with a small table. The surfaces are rarely wiped down so if you're offended by drink residue or sandwich crumbs, take note and have your sandwich to go. I usually order a 10 inch as opposed to the 5 inch since it's only a difference of $1.30 for a lot more food. For $1.50 more you can add a fountain drink and your choice of a side salad, a cup of soup or a bag of chips. The sandwich is always filling enough so I just shell out $1.25 for a refillable fountain drink. When you order you are given many options such as type of roll or bread, served hot or cold, type of cheese, etc... The meat is piled on high and the veggies are nice and crisp. They do use shredded lettuce as opposed to lettuce leaves so some sandwiches tend to be messier than others. There is a sandwich card program where your 11th sandwich is free. They are open Monday through Friday from 7 AM until 3 PM. I really want to like this place, I really do. It's near my house and the only place on San Bruno Ave that's not Asian food and has sandwiches and coffee. But the 3 or so times I've been here have not been pleasant. Here's what I remember from my last 2 visits: -Probably a few months ago I came here and ordered a small latte. I paid and she turned around to do some stuff. Came back and asked, "did you say Americano?" After I told her it was a latte, she turns around again and goes towards the espresso machine. Turns to me again and says "I'm sorry, what did you order again?" She's on her cell phone this whole time. -Today, I came in around 12:15pm. There's 3 woman behind the counter making food and one woman, who appears to be the same woman who helped me last time, turns to me and says "Are you waiting for the bagel?" I said, "No, I haven't ordered yet." She apologies kindly and takes my order for a breakfast croissant sandwich. I take it to-go and proceed to drive away and open up my sandwich in the car. After eating the first half of my burnt croissant sandwich, I bite into the second half and felt something weird. I proceeded to spit out a piece of plastic that was in the sandwich. I got a chance to pick from the 6 different flavors of coffee. I love the golden peach flavor. They also have different sugars you can use as well ( white sugar, brown sugar, Splenda etc..) Their food is ok. Both times I got a bagel is was pretty tough to chew. I had an almond croissant and it was delicious. This place has inside and outside sitting.
