The coleslaw on the sandwich also made a big difference for me as well. Kimchee ($3.99) + pickled daikon ($1.50): I ordered these as a side to meals cooked at home. It's cheaper than all grocery stores and the quality is better than the ones sold at grocery stores. Fried cream cheese balls: Imagine melty cream cheese with a mochi-like exterior. It had a similar texture to mochi donuts and the melted cheese in the middle made it even better. Takeout, dine-in, and delivery are all options at this location and the inside of the restaurant is also very new and clean. The staff is also efficient and friendly and I will definitely be returning for my fried chicken fix. This place now outranks any other chicken spot on island IMO. Also, they have a cooler by the register with Korean ice cream that I have not seen yet at our local Korean supermarkets. My favorite is the yogurt but I also believe they rotate their selection frequently. Definitely check out their ice cream cooler if you're at their location. If recommend sharing since it's quite a lot. The golden fries wings are just mini fried chicken, but very crispy! To me it was bit more on the oilier side. I'll start with their food is delicious. This review is about being given the wrong info multiple times which involve an allergy. I started ordering their French fries because I was told by the staff (on two different occasions and different people) that they are cooked in only olive oil. I even asked them to confirm with the kitchen. After noticing some reactions in my son the last couple times, I asked a third person if they fries are cooked in olive oil. He said yes. I repeated "100% olive oil, not cut with anything?" He said he thinks it might be mixed but went to check with the kitchen. Turns out, ONLY the chicken is cooked in olive oil. Fries are cooked in soybean oil which is an allergy issue and explains the reaction. This place has really good fried chicken! I first discovered Korean fried chicken from Von's a local joint that is tasty. But when I tried BBQ Chicken it was just a different level of delicious I order ahead because it can be busy and might have a 20 minute wait but call ahead and pick it up when it's ready is simple enough. I have not tried their chicken yet since I'm not a huge fan of chicken on the bone, but I might have to go back to try it. Tonight we tried The Works Tteok bokki and honey garlic fries. The honey garlic sauce was good but really just tasted like teriyaki. I really enjoyed the works though, since it had sausage, fish cake, spam, ramen, and the rice cake. However, if you don't like spicy I would not recommend it! It was too spicy for us to finish and we enjoy spice at around a medium level. There was an info video about the product as well as 2 screens showing K-pop groups and another showing a K-drama episode. According to the infomercial, the chicken is fried in Spanish olive oil. Let's get to the chicken. Omigosh! The chicken is so tasty! The original is not drenched in oil but encased in a light flavorful batter. So crispy and light, not greasy or overpoweringly salty like some other K.F.C. are. Meat was moist and juicy. The honey garlic ones had just enough sauce to coat and wasn't drowning in sauce. Wasn't overly sweet and the flavors had a lot of depth from the spices. We really liked this one. There are more flavors that we'll have to try. I can see what people meant about the quality of the chicken being better than other chicken places. I personally liked the honey garlic flavor more than the original crispy and want to try additional flavors next time we return. We had left overs and heated them up in our air fryer and the wings were as good as when we got them fresh the day before. As others mention, this place is a bit pricier. We paid about $40 to get 18 wings and a side of fries. They're also located in Kahala which is a pretty far drive for me.
