We built an outdoor kitchen with a grill and a pizza oven. We were thinking of designing it ourselves, but then we found BBQ Outlet. From the first moment, the experience was outstanding. Dylan was masterful at helping us design the kitchen and pick the right appliances. He's extremely knowledgeable. He is not "selling" but helping you decide. He came to our house to help finish the design and do a reconnaissance of the space. Lisa, on the production side, was also excellent and helped coordinate the process. The two technicians who came to the house to do the installation were excellent as well. All in all, a very professional experience. The only thing I would change is that they were able to do a smooth stucco on it (the do a texture one that we don't like, so we had to hire a separate person to do it). Updated review: Spoke with John and he suggested that we return to wrong cabinet they had sent us and for us to pay the difference for a new cabinet with the proper propane tank pull drawer. He ordered the new cabinet and it arrived in one week. So now all is good. We did not end up having to pay the restocking fee since we did not order the wrong cabinet when the invoice clearly stated the first cabinet was for propane tank which did not fit one. read more

I wanted to get further than we did in the process so that I could write a great review, but we didn't get to the first step as John never took the time to work with us. 7/30/23- We visited the showroom in Miramar. This review gets 2 stars because the showroom was really nice! Lots of samples to explore, clean, and no pushy sales. We talked to John that day, he said to send over some pictures and would work up 2 quotes for a complete redo, or remodel our existing. I sent over the pictures while we were still in the showroom. 7/31/23 in the morning we got a reply from John saying he would send the pictures over to the remodel team. 7/31/23 afternoon my husband sent over the measurements. 8/7/23 I emailed checking in to see if he needed additional information- no response. 8/14/23 I emailed again checking in- received an email response on 8/15/23 asking for a call with additional questions. He needed dimensions again. 8/15/23 we emailed over the same dimensions from 7/31 along with a couple of questions. 8/28/23 I emailed again checking in. John returned an email immediately asking for a call and pictures? 8/28/23 we sent the email with the same pictures/dimensions January 2024 Still waiting for a response :( It was probably too small of a job, which we would have understood. The customer service is pretty decent but I think management is greedy. My experience is as follows: Ordering a Kamado Joe - Big Joe 3. A well known online/brick&mortar store is selling for significantly lower than BBQ grill outlet is selling. I already placed order with this store but the lead time was significant. Based on BBQ grill outlet's webpage, they have a low price match guarantee. I go into the store and inquire about availability of the Big Joe 3 and they have 2 in stock at other locations. Then I ask about the price match and now they suddenly cant honor that because they're rare right now because of COVID so they will charge full price for it. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth but fine, i get it. This smoker grill is really expensive and lead times are crazy long for it. A few months later.. I purchased a joetesserie online from amazon for $60 less than what BBQ grill outlet is selling. My order is delayed and I wanted it that day. Once again, i call my local BBQ store and check for availability and price match. They have it but they aren't willing to price match. This is for an accessory item that is available everywhere. Why even put low-price match guarantee if you can price match a $200 item. Instead, i go to a clairemont mesa BBQ store and they have availability and GLADLY price matched it for me and i was on my merry way. Proceed with caution. I have a backyard kitchen project as we speak. My order to an online retailer was delayed by six weeks due to inventory shortages which put me in a precarious situation with the crew building my kitchen. They could either build it with measurements or come back when the grill arrived and I would have to pay a fee for blowing up the schedule or work these guys have for the next few months. I did not want to take the chance on measurements being slightly off, so I called local retailers and found BBQ Grill outlet, who, according to Victor (head designer), had my grill in stock. I called a few more places over a 2 day period and finally determined BBQ Grill outlet was my best option. I called a second time to verify it was in stock. Victor answered again and told me the grill I wanted IS in stock but that I should consider a different brand that was more affordable. We ended up going back and forth on the merits of the grill I had decided on versus the other grills he recommended. Ultimately, I told him I was ready to purchase today and had done extensive research on the grill I had picked. In essence, take an easy win, Victor, why try to talk me into a significantly lower sale? The answer to that question became clear when I arrived at the store. I made an appointment for 2:30pm with Victor to purchase the grill. I made sure to ask if I could fit it in the back of my Camry, Victor advised me to bring at least an SUV or I wouldn't be able to take it home TODAY. When I arrived at 2:30pm the same day with my contractor who owns a large truck, Victor told me he had the grill in stock at his Orange County location. No apology for misinforming me twice and he made a really poor attempt to convince me he meant in-stock in Orange County all along. Had he owned up to his mistake, or that he wasn't taking me seriously when I said I would show up to purchase the grill, it would've been less frustrating than listening to his poor attempt to convince me he meant in-stock but at the Orange County location. I had the work crew schedule to begin work based on having the grill that day and had to cancel because I would need to wait 1-2 days before it was available in San Deigo. Be diligent with this company, and with Victor if you end up working with him in particular. read more

Earlier this year, we decided to replace the beat up and in adequate outdoor kitchen. The previous owners of our house had installed. I purchased an island, a barbecue insert, a two burner insert, and a blaze refrigerator from the barbecue grill outlet about two years ago. The service was good at the time, and I love my barbecue set up. Having said that, my refrigerator went out after only two years and as I reached out to barbecue grill outlet for assistance to either purchase another one at their cost (recognizing it was out of warranty, but should they really make additional profit from me?) or to help me to get the one I purchased fixed through the manufacturer Blaze or otherwise. Unfortunately, the answer was sorry, you're past your 1 yr warranty and we can't help you. I tried several appliance repair places and none of them would repair the mini fridge. Out of frustration I called Blaze customer service. This should've actually been my first call because not only was their customer service one of the best I've been in contact with, they sent me replacement parts free of charge and then followed up to make sure that everything worked OK. I did the repair myself, and it was easy. Blaze was AMAZING!!! Huge miss for barbecue grill outlet. After spending so much money there, their only answer was go figure it out yourself or buy a new one from us at retail price. and by the way, there are a very limited number of mini fridges that fit the dimension of the island I purchased from them. read more
