I must say it's pricey but show me a Korean plate that is not anymore. This was worth it. The flavors were ono. And I'm one to not use sauce so the meat jun was good even without the sauce. As for the service, our cashier/server was so nice! She matched my shoyu veggies together, just how I like it! The place was clean but we didn't eat there. It was also empty, but it was a Sunday evening so probably slow anyway. Overall I really liked this place and will go there again over Waikele BBQ. It's farther from our house but worth the drive. Btw my BF got the spicy chicken wings and he said it was good. But he didn't like the Mac salad. read more

I ordered a meat jun and BBQ chicken combo plate. The banchan sides were good. That's about it. Cucumber Kim chee looked spicey but it was sweet. Meat Jun was egg Jun. I've never had meat Jun that thin before. We were so excited when we opened our plate because it looked so huge and fluffy - only to find it was more eggs than anything else. It wasn't sliced like most places. BBQ chicken tasted good. However, like the meat jun, they were thin cuts. Must've been a skinny chicken. Very very disappointing. We won't be returning. read more

The food is overpriced for the quality. It's inconsistent--at times overly salty, and the meat jun is often too thin.

A great place for lunch to pick up or eat in. The portions of bbq meats and the selection that they have are great and very big. Upon eating at this particular location I was able to get two meals out of my combination lunch plate. Definitely worth the walk in and the service was fast and friendly. With a casual ambiance it's a nice relaxing place to grab a bite when you're in the area and feeling hungry. Will definitely be returning again soon! read more

The owner is very stingy with everything and is mean. I work upstairs and have probably come by 5 times for monster or food and she always had something to say. Everytime I ordered food, the portions were always small and never justified the steep price they charge. It's like potatoes were going extinct or something. I went in for just a monster a couple times and she made me feel bad because I wasn't ordering food from her. I'm already paying $4 for this monster and now you're mad I won't eat your food??? Lastly today, I just wanted one cup of meat Jun sauce because I packed some for lunch and forgot the sauce. I didn't expect to get some for free, so I brought 50 cents with me (Crazy how life works now lol) I walk in, there's a sign that clearly says sauce is 25 cents. I ask for one meat jun sauce and the lady tells me no, we don't give away the sauce. I said I'm not asking for it for free, I'll pay for it. She looks at me like I'm stupid and repeats herself, we don't sell the sauce. So I asked why is there a sign then? I'm pissed at this point and this is the owner I'm speaking to mind you. She eventually charges me a quarter for the sauce because she was under the impression I got the meat Jun from her. I could care less about being charged a quarter for some sauce, but it's the principle. How can one be so stingy about something so minuscule. Tried this place for the first time because we wanted to try more restaurants near us, and I'm glad we did. I got the BBQ Chicken plate, and with how good everything tasted, I would go back and get the exact same thing. I appreciated the lady preparing my plate, she was very generous with how much of each side she was giving, especially the long rice (always my go-to side at places like this.) BBQ Hut is a korean food take out place. They have a pretty wide assortment of food there. I decided to get the fish jun and meat jun combo mini. We phone ordered and went to pick up. It was cooked up really quick and I only had to wait a few minutes for my order once I got there. The mini is huge. There was a big piece of fish jun and a big piece of meat jun in that combo. I really enjoyed the fish jun. It was a good piece of fish and very tasty. The meat jun was good but I've had better at different places. Overall though, if you haven't tried this place, you should give it a try. read more

Sadly we won't be coming here no more. Came here to get our fast food BBQ fix and was very disappointed. Price for a regular plate almost $20 and what's worse is that the serving size was so much smaller than before. The lady was so chang with the sides. I can see if you raise prices and keep the portion size the same but when you up the price and also give less, that's a problem. In the past the other lady would give a good amount for the sides. On another note, we're not coming here no more since they DISCONTINUED the potato salad!!!! That was something that was a must have and I always ordered 2 of that for my sides. The chicken taste like it's been soaking in the marinade for a long time and it's not freshly made to order! It's a bit overcooked and dry. The chicken used to be so good! Sometimes when we visit my in-laws and we don't feel like cooking we'll pick up a couple of the regular plate lunches from BBQ Hut and split it 4 ways. Fairly priced for the amount of food you get. On our most recent visit, we ordered the meat Jun and bbq chicken combo for take away. It came with 2 scoops of rice and 4 sides. Right now the dining room is not open, and they have measures in place such as having employees and customers wear masks, plexiglass divider and table at the cashier counter to ensure a 6' distance, limiting number of customers inside at once, and other social distancing reminders. For the actual taste of the plate lunch, it is decent- closer to 3.5 stars imo but I want to positively support local as much as I can during these trying times. read more

I wouldn't pay $37 for two plate of meat jun if it wasn't good. They are generous with the portion but not for the sauce. They charge 25 cents if I want extra sauce but it was in little container that I had to get 5 for our large meat. Container was so tiny that it spilled on the plate instead of our meat. Not happy. I ordered a bbq cheeseburger combo. The service was okay. The ambience was nice with pictures of the menu and wooden booths / tables and seats. It's like an LnL. Anyway when I opened up my combo, the top bread burger was super flat and soggy. I asked if it was supposed to be this way and the cashier and cook said it was because of the sauce. The top of the bun was as almost as thin as a chocolate peppermint square. I thought they would have at least exchanged it, but nothing happened and they continued on. My burger literally fell apart the whole time. The beef was a good size, but then again, the bun. It was pretty messy. Unable to handle the burger on its own without having it fall apart, so I had to bite the vegetables and burger separately. I know I shouldn't complain because I paid the price of what it is worth, about $8.00. I'm just writing my opinion. Burger combo is good, I just had issues eating it with a soggy thin bun. read more

We like coming here for good Korean fast food. They give a lot of food, you can choose 4 of the assorted sides, they give what looks like more than 2 scoops of rice. I ordered the combination plate of Meat Jun and Fried Mundoo, there were 2 large pieces of the Meat Jun and 5 fried gyoza. My Hubby ordered the combination plated of Meat Jun and BBQ Chicken and he had 2 large pieces of the Meat Jun and 2 large pieces of BBQ Chicken. Enough food for 2 meals! The food is very tasty! Such a bad experience eating here. $45 for 2 plates. The Hut special was one of the plates, the bulgogi( teri beef) was all chopped in tiny 1cm pieces, it was not even one full piece of teri meat. It looked like the scrapes of the grill. Very dry! The hut special is suppose to come with two piece of chicken, but the chicken in this plate was a third of a chicken. Not even a whole piece of chicken?! The Kimchee side is very very old and sour. The other plate was a meatjun and chicken plate. The meatjun meat is very thin and only the middle of the meat jun had meat, the sides were mostly just eggs. Very disappointed! I never write reviews but this was such a bad plate and expensive. I called to tell them about the horrible expensive plate with baby food inside of it, all the lady said was we cant do nothing about it. She hardly speaks english, sad service! Restraunt is clean and there is 15 minute parking and a reserved stall just for the restaurant. I understand what people are syaing when it comes to bad customer service though. Staff is not very friendly. Did a phone order and asked for the meat jun cut (which it was not) and asked for no bean sprouts on the bi bim bap (which there was). The vegitables were very good and fresh which i liked. They were accomidating becasue didnt want the bi bim bap spciy and she said it was already marrinated but they redid it. the side order of crab wontons were really small.. they were like the size of the containers you put sauce in. there was also not a lot of filling which was very disappointing. I asked to try the sweet potato and the lady gave me a little bit of attitude but she gave me a sample anyway which i think was nice. garlic potatos are really good - they actually have a good garlic taste. meat jun meat was so thin that it was pretty much just like eating egg... probably would only come back here for the vegitables but would go some place else for the meat.. read more
