Such a bad experience eating here. $45 for 2 plates. The Hut special was one of the plates, the bulgogi( teri beef) was all chopped in tiny 1cm pieces, it was not even one full piece of teri meat. It looked like the scrapes of the grill. Very dry! The hut special is suppose to come with two piece of chicken, but the chicken in this plate was a third of a chicken. Not even a whole piece of chicken?! The Kimchee side is very very old and sour. The other plate was a meatjun and chicken plate. The meatjun meat is very thin and only the middle of the meat jun had meat, the sides were mostly just eggs. Very disappointed! I never write reviews but this was such a bad plate and expensive. Some times this shopping area has limited parking, however when taking out from BBQ hut they have 15min take out parking for you. The prices here range from $5-$12, and $8 being the average price per meal. They have a happy hour menu, which is your best option to save on some money. Happy Hour is from 1pm-5pm Monday-Thursday. They have many options to mix and match food items, but inquire if its not on the menu. My go to items are; spicy pork, korean chicken, meat jun, bibibap, and their Kimchi fried rice. Spicy pork can be a little bit fatty with the oils, but has a really great spice flavor to it. Sometimes their Korean can be a hit or miss, with it being to soggy or too dry. I suggest asking for sauce on the side so you can get a bit of control of how saucey you want it to be! Because you know some of us are sauce queens, we just need that SAUCE! Meat Jun here isn't so great, its a bit flavorless so their dipping sauces make up for the lack of flavor. Went in today and was appalled at the treatment I received. Very sad that with everything that's going on in the world today there is still discrimination happening right before our eyes. I look very local. If you didn't know me you would assume I'm local or Hispanic. While ordering I was told to adjust my Covid mask twice by the young Asian lady behind the counter since it was not covering my nose. It took me two times to even figure out what the server was talking about but after I realized, no problem! Here's where the issue comes in...immediately standing behind me is another couple. Asian lady, black male, these guys aren't even carrying masks. Nothing on their necks, nothing on their ears, and surely nothing on their face. So now I'm standing right there at the counter. Waiting for the same server who scolded me to adjust my mask to enforce the same law that I'm required to adhere to. The state law that says all customers must wear a mask in public places. So what does the employee do? Not a peep! Let's them order and then allows them to sit in the restaurant waiting on their order without masks on. I was astonished. Can't blame the customer, not their fault the store allowed it. I had to walk outside and get some fresh air I was so upset. I could've held on the phone if only you asked. Or you could've said something a bit more polite that that. Come on now, you work with people daily, you should be able to communicate efficiently! She was in such a rush she didn't even ask for my name or number. I guess the risk of someone not picking up their food is minor to this business. That wasn't even the worst part. BBQ Hut is located within the Kunia Shopping Center, not to be confused with any other Kunia-related shopping areas or what not. In any case, it serves a specific purpose among the random assortment of shops that litter the KSC (it's what the cool kids should call it...totally) as the only purveyor of Korean-style BBQ therein. The food here is tasty and, of course, made to order. If you're in a rush, just be sure to call ahead and make sure you know what side-orders you want with your meal. My personal favorite meal is a toss-up between either their meat jun (sliced nice and thin so you can practically cut it with your chopsticks) always with the side of gochujan or their kim-chi fried rice. Their regular prices might seem a little steep sometimes, but their portions are generous. For example, the kim-chi fried rice is about $7 normally, but what you're getting is an entire take-out plate/box full of tasty goodness. Even their mini-plates still come with a enough food to qualify as a decent meal. Also, make sure to grab a couple of their fresh-made spam musubi if you want a simple, handheld snack to-go. If price is really an issue, make sure to come by for their "happy hour" as another Yelper mentioned, between 1PM and 5PM on most days of the week to enjoy some discounted pricing. Just make sure to either bring cash, or, ensure that your bill hits at least the $10 mark if you'd prefer to use plastic. I went a little after lunch time and it wasn't crowded so idk how good they are but my soup was good. It was hot/spicy like thought it would be but adding some hot sauce just kicks it up another notch. The noodles were thin like somen noodles, there were about 5 big dumplings that were really tasty, there was egg with pieces of shredded beef. Overall I really liked it. But since it was my first taste I don't really know how it compares but i'd prob get it again. The Mrs. realy liked the spicy pork at the Pearl Kai BBQ Hut so she was sad when they closed. We were actually planning to go to another restaurant but decided to see if the spicy pork at this BBQ Hut was as good as the Pearl Kai location's. In a word, yes. The Mrs. loved the spicy pork. It was juicy and tender with tasty strings of fat (like Emeril says, "Pork fat rules") and just enough hot seasoning to give it a kick. My BBQ chicken was good but nothing exceptional: similar to most decent Korean restaurant's chicken. The vegetables were on the sweet side, kind of a downer for me, but the two potato varieties (shoyu and garlic potato salad) were as good as anyone else's.
