Great spot for a quick meal! The portions are generous and the sides are actually decently flavored. However, I got the spicy chicken and it wasn't really spicy, I thought they could have added more heat. The service is similar to Chipotle, and goes pretty smoothly. There is seating inside but also outside overlooking the ave if you're into eating al fresco.

The beef Teriyaki was hard and dry. A good teriyaki sauce has a balance of sweet and automatic. The smoky salty flavor of the soy sauce should complement the garlic and ginger flavor in the marinade.. The teriyaki sauce was so sweet It tasted like corn syrup.. also the price on the menu does not reflect what is on yelp. I was also charged for double the meat which I did not ask for. Overall, if you're craving teriyaki and one large portions, this place is not bad.

A pretty good post workout meal spot. The chicken is tender and seasoned well. But the rice is too sticky and the chow mein is pretty bland.

Service is always good, ambiance is nice and I appreciate the holiday decorations. Food is always pleasing, good customization choices. Portions are also good for the price as well. A great teriyaki spot overall.

This place was super good and did not disappoint. The location is perfect and the inside was welcoming and super clean. My friend took me here this weekend and said it was the best teriyaki and the best bang for your buck. The service was super good they hooked it up and gave for good portion sizes, the food it's self was really good, they put a regular sauce and a spicy sauce on top that was just right. I will definitely be returning here and recommend it to anyone I know.

Good teriyaki, different from usual Seattle teriyaki, as it is more of a chipotle style of service. I like that you can choose rice and yakisoba and veggies along with the meat. The food tastes good and the service is nice, the price is reasonable, I do wish they served more chicken with the meal, but that is expected with the area. I will definitely go back if in the area.

White rice, vegetable stir fry, noodles, spicy teriyaki chicken and more teriyaki sauce + siracha

My "to-go" container was basically mush by the time I got home. I appreciate the whole eco-friendly concept, but this is just unacceptable.

The Lagman was fantastic - hand pulled noodles with perfect texture and spic. Goulash was comforting and filling. Samosa wrapping was layered so you can tell a lot of work went into each piece. We went for lunch middle of the week and every table was full for lunch. None of the customers were speaking English which I think is a ++++++ and speaks to authenticity of the food. Front of house left a bit to be desired - very impersonal service and seemed a bit frazzled - this contrasted with the warm food and what is portrayed on their social media content. However, the deliciousness of the food makes up for it.

Upon arrival, 2 of the 3 dishes I really wanted to try were out. No lamb kebab nor Uzbek plov. We ordered the lagman and the ghan phan which turned out to be the exact same thing except on with noodles and one with rice. The lagman was mild and very tasty, its hand pulled noodles were perfectly chewy without being hard to eat. The space is cozy with only 5 tables, which was why we decided to come early. I'm open to try this place again if ever visit Seattle again, hopefully by then they will have all the items available.

I could just tell this restaurant was going to be a great experience from the moment we arrived. Friendly staff greeted us as we arrived and quickly showed us to our table. The atmosphere was warm and energetic, full of diners eating, drinking and enjoying conversation. After a quick scan of the menu, we quickly made our decision to order as many dishes as we could and share. We went for the beef tartare, Chinese scallion pancake, smoked tofu, kimchi trio, spicy rice cake, Chinese broccoli, "that" short rib steak, Kalbi burger, and the kombu cured mackerel. Everything was #brokedamout. The standouts to me were the scallion pancake, short rib, Kalbi burger and mackerel. Parking is available on the street and in private lots. We're already trying to figure out when we can get back here again before we leave. We'll certainly be back.

We started with a dozen of the shucked oysters, which were perfectly prepared and not overly briny. From there we tried the Bò Lá Lốt and is instantly my new go-to dish whenever I come back. I'd never had it before and now I'm already craving it again. For mains, we ordered the Lemongrass Clay Pot Chicken and the Drunken Chicken. The Lemongrass Chicken had incredible flavor, especially the broth, which was so good it's worth taking home if you don't finish it. The only downside was navigating all the bones. The Drunken Chicken ended up being my favorite main dish. It reminded me of sweet-and-sour chicken, but without the overwhelming sweetness that usually takes over the dish. A quick heads up: definitely make a reservation if you can because this place gets BUSY. We lucked out and snagged the last four seats at the bar. Even with the crowd, the service was friendly, attentive, and the food came out surprisingly fast. Monsoon is one of those places where you immediately start planning what you'll order next time before you've even left the restaurant.

I ordered the catfish claypot, which came highly recommended, and it truly delivered. The flavor was rich, savory, and comforting with a beautiful presentation. My one note: order a small side of jasmine rice. The dish does not come with it, and while the claypot stands strong on its own, the sauce deserves something to soak it up. You will want every last bite. The location is charming, tucked into a quaint neighborhood across from a cozy coffee shop and bookstore. The restaurant itself is spacious with a well stocked bar. One side feels ideal for families and larger groups, while the other side leans more date night or casual drinks. It strikes a nice balance. Pricing runs on the higher side, especially since entrees do not include rice or sides and portions are not particularly large. It is something to keep in mind when ordering. Service was decent and attentive, though I would have appreciated stronger menu knowledge. Simple questions like whether a dish is gluten free or whether it includes rice or vegetables should be easy to answer. A bit more confidence and familiarity would elevate the experience. I also would have appreciated seeing Vietnamese representation at the front of house, given the cuisine. Would I return? Yes. The food is good and the space is inviting. I am just not in a huge rush, as the overall experience did not fully match the quality of the dish itself.

We got the short rib wontons, kimchi pancake, Dungeness crab noodle, and Korean fried chicken. My favorites were the short rib wontons and Korean fried chicken! Portions for the dishes overall are pretty small, so the restaurant is pretty pricey overall. For dessert we ordered the basque hojicha cheesecake and really liked it! The cheesecake had a nutty flavor and good texture with the crust. Our server kindly provided us an extra dessert, the panna cotta. I went on a weekday evening and was able to walk in without a reservation and the host sat my party immediately. The space has an industrial vibe, minimal decorations and an open kitchen in the dining area with another kitchen hidden in the back. We started off with a gochujang margarita which had a little spice but the flavor of the gochujang got lost and I couldn't really distinguish it. The NY Tiki Time cocktail was a stunner, the flavors of the citrus, pandan and rum blended smoothly together. I had to take a photo when the drinks arrived. For the apps we ordered the yellowtail and octopus. The presentation really was remarkable and well plated. The yellowtail was in between layer of thinly cut turnip that had a lemon verbena component to it. It was shaped into a flower and placed on a plate in naengmyeon broth. The octopus was tender and in a delicious cream sauce with some roe as decoration. For the mains we got the squid fried rice with kimchi, bacon, smoked quail egg. We also ordered the branzino gui with seasonal vegetables. Both were well seasoned and tasty but I think I enjoyed our drinks and appetizers the most. The staff were slow and intentional with their service and no one seemed in a frantic hurry. The tone of the place was calm and none of our servers gave off an overly pretentious attitude (my biggest gripe with fine dining).
