Everything was absolutely amazing. Nick somehow fit us in to cater my husband's memorial dinner…read moreeven though he had been in Arizona for his grandfather's funeral the day before. Nick is all about service and quality. This he provided so well that everybody raved about the dinner. Nick put together a menu of my husbands favorite foods -cheeseburgers, french fries, banana cream pie and million dollar bars. The cheeseburgers were a custom ground blend of grass fed beef in short ribs, brisket and chuck. The french fries were housecut and fried in duck fat and beef tallow. The banana cream pie was served as individual tartlets. The million dollar bars, a British specialty, started with a layer of shortbread, then caramel and chocolate with chocolate ganache. Our guests were crazy about everything. I heard them repeat that this was the best food ever.

This was the absolute best brunch I've ever had. We collectively got the gluten-free French toast,…read morea breakfast bowl, and their house-made gluten-free bagel, and it was divine. We also took home some baked goods. It's so hard to find gluten-free French toast and baked goods that are actually good, and these were UNBELIEVABLE. You would never guess they were gluten-free. The vibe was cute and laid back and the service incredible. Despite the fact that it was very busy, the food came out really quickly. I will absolutely head back down to IB just to come here again. 10/10 recommend.

They also have a young man who plays jazz piano there every Sunday, so the ambiance is pretty awesome along with the nice weather. Sometimes it can get windy so bring a sweater, but otherwise, it's usually a really nice day to hang out with friends and family. I also had a matcha ginger thyme latte with oat milk which was just tasty since ginger is a rare flavor in coffee drinks. I loved it, and it was so good that I took an extra one home. The service is amazing, and on busy days you may have to wait a bit, but it's worth it. If you have any questions about a dish, don't hesitate to ask!

As a mestiza bride, serving Filipino food at my wedding was non negotiable but finding a full…read moreservice Filipino caterer in San Diego was honestly so frustrating. Every local option I came across would only drop off the food with zero staffing for cocktail hour, buffet service, bussing, or a late night snack. Then an ad for Tisoy Curryative Cuisines popped up on my Instagram feed & I am so glad it did! From the very first message, Matthew the owner was super responsive & made the whole process so easy. He got back to me within 24 hours, his pricing fit our budget perfectly, & he even reached out to our venue on his own to confirm everything was good to go before we even booked. No issues whatsoever. It also meant so much to me to hire a Filipino owned business that actually knows this food rather than some generic catering company just claiming they could pull it off. On the wedding day Tisoy completely exceeded my expectations. They served lumpia during cocktail hour in the cutest little appetizer dishes with sweet chili sauce & honestly it tasted exactly like my mom's recipe. I never got to do a tasting beforehand so I was a little nervous but the lumpia recipe was perfect. Our guests were obsessed. The buffet setup was gorgeous & their staff served at the line which was great for portion control & kept the line moving fast. The star of the night was the whole roasted lechon. It was absolutely beautiful & cooked to perfection. We did a lechon cutting photo instead of a cake cutting & it came out so good. We had guests who flew in from the Philippines & even they said they could tell it was cooked by Filipinos. That honestly says it all. The staff bussed all the tables as dinner wrapped up & then came back out at 9pm with a late night lumpia snack that everyone went crazy for. The next morning I woke up & Tisoy had already posted a reel of our wedding on Instagram. I wasn't expecting that at all and it was such a sweet & impressive touch. If you need a filipino caterer who truly shows up, knows the food, & handles every single detail from start to finish, book Tisoy Curryative Cuisines. You won't regret it! I can't wait to throw another party so I can hire them again!!!

The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and a huge hit with all of our guests. The team was professional, kind, and made the entire experience stress free. We're so grateful to have had them be a part of such an important and special celebration and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for incredible food and great service! The fry on the chicken was perfect and the flavor was complex and delicious. I enjoyed the side of pickled cucumbers that went well with the rest of the dish. We also got the cali pino burrito with chicken tocino. This burrito was jam packed with a lot. Too much rice in my opinion. I think it would have been better with a salsa or some type of sauce. It was too one note for me but my husband thought it was good. Spot is kind of deep in poway. There is a parking lot and we had no issues finding a spot on a Saturday. I would say they need to fix their fountain soda machine. Thankful the cashier told us to check what was available before we ordered. They were out of most things but didn't have any diet soda so we opted for a can soda instead.

I got the Lumpia nachos, ube canolis, lumpia and one of their specials that I believe is something of a deep fried shumai. The lumpia nachos leaned sweet. The sauce that you can optionally dip your lumpia in was already pre-added. The chips are wonton chips. It has a good crunch. Getting normal lumpia is probably the better move here. For that I ended up getting two meats because they were out of one of them. I can't remember which but I'm fairly sure that whatever is the more popular one, is the better one. There was a stark difference between the two. I enjoyed the ube canolis and the special. I don't think I have to get either again but that's fine because they have so many other items along with an almost overwhelming number of specials.

This place is stacked with TVs so perfect for football games too. We came on a Saturday and it was a tad busy so should there be games definitely come early. We shared their 50/50 burger. Fries were great and the burger was solid. They have numerous beers on tap. I like ciders and they had some of those too. The real winner looks like their brunch. 1 dollar mimosas with a purchase of an entree. Special shout out to Ryan who was doing double duty by both bartending and serving. He was super attentive to each table and wanted to ensure everyone was having a good time. It's right by a parking lot which is helpful. All in all a solid restaurant/bar to watch the game. Their patio is also dog friendly.
