Let me first start off by saying, in regards to the negative reviews...take your snobby selves back to Houston's where you'll fit right in amongst the hoytie toytie, impossible to please patrons! I digress.... What a beautiful, new restaurant that we, coming from a Pompano Beach resident (GF), are so happy to have in our backyards on the beach! A Key West style, two-story building which sits just to the north of the Pompano Pier and steps away from the beach. Currently, the pier and restaurant adjacent are under construction but this has zero effect on the restaurant itself. There is valet parking and ample metered parking across the street. Why some people are complaining about this, I have no clue. But goes to show some people will complain about anything. Floor to ceiling windows with coastal décor, driftwood abound and candles illuminating the dining room. It really is breathtaking! As you wait for your table, which you will be waiting and rightfully so (take a look around!)...venture upstairs where it's completely open allowing the fresh air to circulate throughout with the most gorgeous views of the ocean, a large wraparound bar, high top tables, cozy seating arrangements strewn throughout with stadium seating offering larger couches for gatherings/parties which can be reserved ahead of time with their party coordinator. It is strictly an appetizer/drink/kids menu seating. The wings are outstanding and the drinks are perfect! Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the burgers for dinner, grilled Caesar salad and the bread pudding is to die for! Service downstairs was also great! We found the prices to be VERY reasonable for the location on the beach and the beautiful ambiance! Their drinks are awesome. We had a couple of passion fruit margaritas and even the lily drink which will literally numb your tongue, what a cool experience. Keep in mind this is a fairly new restaurant and with all new establishments there will be some tweaks needed...and that's ok. For being so new, we were more than pleasantly surprised (we've been 4 times since the opening) and so thankful this little gem has graced us with her presence in Pompano Beach! read more

Came here for the first time from 2 recommendations. Sat at the bar to get the full beach and ocean view. The beautiful weather was a plus. Decided to order appetizers instead of a meal. Had the fish dip, so delicious, wings very tasty and sliders would order the full size next time, also very good. Service from the bartender, Robert was excellent and to top it all off, Robert recommended the key lime pie and it was amazing!!!! He made the whole dining experience that much more enjoyable. They also have an upstairs that wasn't opened at lunchtime but it was very nice, nice upholstered booths, large bar and beautiful view from the 2nd floor. I came here for dinner one night and my food was amazing. I had the Costa Rican shrimp tacos which were great. It had the perfect amount of everything in it and was very flavorful. For dessert I had the vanilla bread pudding with raspberry and blackberry sauce on it. It tasted amazing. That was the first time I had bread pudding and now that is one of my new favorite desserts to order. I also had a cappachino and it looked so cute. It had cinnamon and caramel drizzled on top and came with a rock candy stick on the side. It tasted like an average cappachino but it did look pretty. I also had great service with very nice waiters. After these last few gloomy days, kyle and Beach house were the breath of fresh air we needed!! Dined last night close to closing hours and my order came out fresh and fast and was very good! The cilantro key lime chicken was cooked to perfection and the fries super crispy, just how i like them! He had some spot on recommendations and the red sangria was so good! Wish we had room for the key lime pie, but we will be back for that and hope to have Kyle again as our server. He was attentive and pleasant and fun! read more

Beautiful beach themed restaurant overlooking the ocean. Great place to bring a date. Make sure you check out the second floor outside bar and seating area. Got off to a rough start at the hostess stand where we stood for five minutes without being greeted even though the restaurant was empty. Once we got past the hostess stand, the service was really great. Once seated we were greeted by our waitress, Antonella, who was very friendly and attentive. We started with the grilled artichokes which were delicious, grilled to perfection and not overly buttered like I've had elsewhere. I had the shrimp tacos which were average at best. Not a lot of flavor and the shrimp tasted a little too fishy leaving a bad aftertaste. My wife had the green goddess sandwich which she loved!! (My daughter ate the leftovers and loved it also.) The food is expensive but should be expected with a restaurant on the ocean. read more

It's such a shame, the place is so beautiful but the food was horrible and the service matched along with it. I noticed other reviews before going stated they had A/C issues, well, they sure have not fixed it. Ordered the Catch of the Day Sandwich which was grouper fried...HORRIBLE. The only good thing was the sweet potato fries. My friend ordered a side of Mac N Cheese ... tasted like Penne with Velveeta cheese...Horrible. Ordered key lime mojito which wasn't bad but barely any alcohol, passion fruit margarita was disgusting and way too sweet. I've had other passion fruit margaritas at El Camino, which theirs is on point. The Wings were good and I also ordered oysters (you can't mess up oysters). All in all I was extremely disappointed with the amount of money spent on crappy food. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Great ambiance during the day sitting overlooking the Ocean by Pompano Pier. I ordered their BRG's Chicken & Kale Salad. I am Vegan, I asked to have a Vegan Salad and was told I could have this salad made without the chicken. I was served the kale salad without the chicken and no crunchy toppings like were on other Kale salads they were serving others. My salad was SMALLER than the one's that had chicken, and my dish was minus the crunchy topping and I was charged FULL PRICE!! Very disappointed in your policy to give LESS FOOD when someone eliminates the animal protein from the dish, No crunchy topping and you still charge the same amount!! It surely did not make for a meal for me the way it was served. PS. KALE NEEDS TO BE MASSAGED. It is too tough and cannot be digested the way you serve it. "Why massage kale? Kale is a fantastic leafy green because of its texture which lends to a wide variety of ways to work with this green. Kale is great for steaming, sauteing, adding it to soups or stews for a more hearty mouthfeel, adding it finely chopped to a salad, or of course enjoying it blended in a green smoothie. Basically, massaging is a process of physically breaking down the kale to make it easier to digest. Think of it in this way - digestion starts in your mouth, and kale has a very rough texture which takes a lot of mastication (aka chewing) on our parts before we can swallow it. Massaging prior to eating is like pre-digesting the kale. So give your kale some love. Go ahead and massage away! Your jaws and tummy will thank you. The kale will visually change before your eyes while massaging. It will start to wilt which is due to the cellulose (plant fibrous structure that holds it together). It will become more vibrant green and softer in texture as well. Because of it's tough nature, another wonderful quality of kale is that it will stay in the refrigerator for a good week even after massaging. Unlike other more delicate leafy greens which tend to wilt and become soggy after chopping or physically "breaking" down, kale will keep it's soft but chewy texture without becoming mushy or too soft. So why do I think kale is king of the greens? Kale touts antioxidants, anti-inflammatory benefits, cancer protective compounds, cholesterol lowering properties, flavonoids which ward off inflammation and oxidative stress and support the body's detoxification system. The ability of kale to lower cholesterol is due to its source(s) of fiber - when steamed, the fiber can actually bind to the bile acids which are then excreted from the body. Kale is part of the cruciferous vegetable family which has been studied in relation to their protective compounds in cancer development (colon, breast, bladder, prostate, and ovarian) mainly from the anti-cancer nutrients glucosinolates (say what?)." We came here on a Saturday around noon. The place was packed and the upstairs was closed for a private party. We sat at the short seats at the bar. Drinks were pricey at $14 for a short mojito. They were tasty I will say and nice selection. I had the key lime mojito and the Pom-tini. Service was slow but I think that was due to the unexpected rush of customers and being short staffed. We ended up ordering the wings as the rest of the menu looked fairly basic and overpriced touristy type food (burgers, tacos and a couple of sushi roll choices). Reminded me of an upscale Applebee's or Chili's menu. The wings were good, but nothing to write home about. Wing stop has better wings. I don't think I will come back due to the high priced small drinks, the basic tourist food menu, and the noise level/overcrowding of the place. Was hard to have a nice relaxing conversation without yelling. Plus people hovering around behind us at the bar ordering drinks and standing way too close for comfort. It's not the restaraunt's fault of course... it's a lovely venue... perhaps just needs a larger overflow patio area and more staff and a more creative appetizer/tapas menu. Management should visit Las Vegas for some better menu ideas for such a popular venue. If you decide to visit, try to come right when they open, or maybe at an off meal time like 3 pm ish. read more

The best fish tacos I've had in awhile, however it was the worst mojito I've ever had. It was like drinking a key lime pie. The burger was amazing as well and was perfectly cooked and the service was great too. Just be careful on the cocktails. We sat outside on the back patio on the beach which was nice. We met for brunch here today. Location is great. Awesome beach views. $5 valet parking for 3 hours or just park in the garage across the street and walk. It is decorated very beachy. Comfy chairs with cushions and lots of tables. Outdoor covered eating available with beautiful ocean views. Our waitress was great and very attentive. Wife got the $20 bottomless mimosas. They bought her a bottle of Prosecco and a carafe of orange juice so she could keep refilling herself. We ordered the crab cake Benedict and the steak Benedict. When they came out of the kitchen, they looked really good. Only real complaint was the temperature of the food. Mine and my wife's was like warm and my dads was cold. We didn't want to send it back so the manager came and took my dads off the bill. It was still very tasty. We ordered the key lime pie and bread pudding. All home made and very nice size. I bit pricey at $9 a piece but well worth it. Biggest suggestion...they need to get a happy hour going. Maybe half price drinks and appetizers. This would be an awesome place to go for drinks in the afternoon but with all the choices around town, it's hard to justify with no happy hour specials. All in all a great place. read more

I was REALLY looking forward to eating here after several recommendations. The decor is beautiful and very appropriate, considering it is literally right on the beach. They have a really nice upstairs bar area where they serve a limited menu. They have cool lounges that overlook the water and are sort of stadium seating so no one gets a blocked view. The day I went, it seemed as though the AC inside wasn't working. It was crazy hot! It was also surprisingly empty, despite it being prime brunch time. To my disappointment, they didn't have a brunch menu. If you have a restaurant on the beach, it's only right to have a brunch menu. The menu was not impressive. It was VERY expensive, despite having a typical seafood selection. We only ordered drinks and apps and decided to eat somewhere else. They have wine on tap, which is an awesome feature other restaurants need to start picking up on. The wine tastes much smoother and tends to be cheaper. We got chicken wings which were actually pretty good. They had a sticky, sweet/savory glaze on them. The macaroni and cheese was awful!!!!! It tasted like old velveeta sat in a fridge and they decided to thaw it out. They also tried to be fancy and put a "crust" on it. It was stale Ritz crackers that were sprinkled on after it was cooked. Despite being open for a good amount of time, the service was severely lacking. The host was very awkward. There was no wait but she made us give her our name before we sat down. The server also wasn't great. She disappeared for long periods of time and didn't refill any drinks. One of the best places in South Florida. The food is fantastic, I've never once had a bad meal here. The steak is probably my favorite if I had to pick but they really can't miss. On top of that, the staff is super friendly and attentive, and if you're lucky enough to get one of the second floor booths, it's one of the best dinner views out there. On the weekends when you have to wait a while for a table, Lucky Fish is right next door - great place to grab a drink and kill some time. read more

I gave this place 4/5 because of the prices though - I feel that they're a bit inflated compared to some places down the street. It is more elegant than them, but I feel that they could reduce them a tad bit. Payed $120 for appetizers and 1 round of drinks for me and two others, call me crazy but I thought that was a lot. 10/10 Piña Colada, a must try if you get a drink there. read more
