The views are beautiful as is the restaurant. However, the food is lacking. I ordered the coaster Rican tacos, and for $15, it was small and came with no sides. They were also pretty tasteless. The bill for four people without alcoholic drinks, and two of the people were children, was $60. Much too expensive for lunch. I highly recommend going to Coconuts for better food and almost as good of a view. read more

My sister planned a big birthday dinner at Beach House this past Friday for me and my husband (we both share the same birthday). It was our first time there and I must say it is now one of my favorite restaurants. The place and the ambiance is absolutely beautiful, the tuna poke salad, the honey roasted bbq wings and the shrimp and grits is to die for. Our servers, Stephanie and Mack did an awesome job serving our big party with pleasure. But, I have to give a special thanks to Ray, the bar manager, for EVERYTHING that he did for us and making his "signature cocktails", so refreshing!!! If I could put more stars, I would. Beach house has been my go to Resturant for the past 12 months, whether dine in or takeout. Unfortunately I wont be going back. I ordered "crispy" fish tacos, as I always do which isn't on the menu but grilled fish tacos are, as well as a "crispy" fish sandwich. While on my way to pick up my food I get a call back from the Resturant that crispy fish tacos aren't on the menu. I explained to the gentleman that I always order this and I am accommodated. Not only did I order the same crispy tacos for lunch which ended up being grilled when I got to my house. My first time there and I loved it. It was very busy (Sunday brunch) & I had a mojito at the bar while I was waiting on my table. That mojito was the best I've ever had. They muddled the mint and lime properly. We got a table & was served by the most friendly waiter Adam. Food was greatly. A truly pleasurable experience from start to finish. We enjoyed dinner together as a family earlier this week. Every single dish ordered, from apps to entrees was delicious. The service was pleasant and attentive. We even had our infant son with us and the staff was helpful and tolerant of our needs. We enjoyed our meal so much that we came back for lunch after in the week. read more

My girlfriend and I went there Sunday, April 8, OMG had a wonderful time. It started out rocky, some male employee at the bar wasn't too considerate yet we found our seat but, lo and behold, a great employee Stasia(sp) bartender name "Anastasia? was so friendly, kind, bubbly, a real joy, recommended drinks for me and Debi, and offered suggestions on food. She had a smile on for two hours to ALL of her customers and we came away with a Joyful experience!!!. We will go back. If Beach house loses Stasia, they will suffer and it will be another establishment's "gain". Keep the positive staff Beach House and rid yourself of those that can't even give customers instructions. read more

Am cutting them some slack since their still new - they were out of a lot of options on the menu (drinks and food) but I'll let it slide since they are new and the things I did get were amazing and the server was funny and on top of things. Downside is that he charged us for 2 coffees when the one got sent back because it was cold after he only took a sip or 2 of it. Another downside is that it was so darn expensive for 3 people! We had drinks only here and then decided to go somewhere else. The drinks were standard beach bar drinks, mojito and blended piña colada. we were disappointed with both. The piña colada had large chunks of ice in it and the flavor was very bland (too much ice, little coconut, rum flavor was not discernable). For $14 per drink you'd think the quality would be better. The problem was the opposite on the mojito, it tasted like it was all flavoring syrup, very strong and overpoweringly sweet. The ambiance and decor was beautiful, great views of the beach. The staff was friendly and nice. Just wish the drink quality matched the prices! read more

My friends were visiting from New Jersey and I decided to show them this beautiful restaurant in walking distance from my home. When we arrived after 9 pm we decided to dine upstairs. We were greeted by the waitress saying that we close at 10! We were the only party of 4 sitting at the high tops to the side of the bar with a few people at the bar.. I think a restaurant with theses expensive prices should always act like they are happy to have our business.. food was ok menu limited upstairs..bill came to over 125$ just for just 4 drinks n 2 apps..I am not a tourist but looked like one on a Monday night with my Jersey friends.. I will not be bringing my visiting family and friends here anymore.. there is so much competition and many other restaurant in the area that I can choose from when picking a place to dine. read more

We went to visit Beach House on their first Saturday open and let me tell you ... we have been anticipating the opening of this place for over a year. My boyfriend and I run along that beach every morning and have stared at this place since it was a plot of dirt, anticipating its opening. First and foremost, from the moment we walked in towards that host stand, there was a crowd of about 12 people bombarding the hosts to check in for their reservations and get on the waitlist. The hostess at the front (short young girl with black curly hair) I think her name was Julia, was a total rockstar ! She was extremely quick on her feet making sure she'd acknowledge everyone and professional to all the tenacious people who were anxious to get a table. When it was our turn to approach, she let us know there was a 2 hour wait but that we could go upstairs and enjoy some apps and cocktails while we waited, she would then get our info and text us when our table was ready. We proceeded to do exactly that and honestly the views upstairs are incredible !!! Definitely social media worthy !!! Once we approached the bar it did take a little while to get a drink and appetizer but that was expected as it was slammed probably by all the wait listers and sight see-ers. Our bartenders name was Rachel and she was awesome very quick and cheerful, however it did take long in between drinks to flag her down. Also we ordered a tuna appetizer and it took 45 minutes !!! We did get a text for our table and in the end we actually decided to keep our spot at the bar I thought it was really cool we could text the hosts and they actually texted us back. When we went downstairs to head out the host stand went from a crowd of 12 people to a full blown MOSH PIT ... we were overwhelmed just trying to get by. My four stars goes to the incredible location, the gracious host at the front and the bartenders. I have been in the biz during my college years and it is a hell hole working weekends at a restaurant let alone a new opening. Hats off to the staff who really kept their composure. I had the Green Goddess and added chicken and for my side I picked grits. My food was very good. That was not the case for most the other people in my party. Several got fish tacos and no one was happy about their choice. As for the environment it is nice and new. However, they only had one of the nice garage doors open and that made it super humid and still. It made me feel like I was in one of those bathrooms on the beach that are only a few steps away. Where you start sweating and kind of feel sick when you are done. I went for a business lunch and expecting to have valet like I have seen at night. I will not go again for lunch and would rather go to Houston's for dinner. So unless someone is wanting to eat on the beach I think I would choose elsewhere. But if you are here on vacation it would be a great spot to have lunch and not have to leave the beach. Service was good and they seemed knowledgeable about the menu. I just don't like sweating during lunch and going back to work swampy, hints the 3 stars. read more

Extremely disappointed. Food is absolutely incredible, but the service is terrible- no clue how that happens. I have never had an experience like I did today. It was recommended to come to this place by someone who didn't know the name- so I searched and searched and we drove up and down A1A looking for this place- SO YOU KNOW I WANTED TO BE THERE. We walked in- asked the hostess for a table; I found their cards and grabbed about 10- as I promote the hell out of businesses I love. I love being a regular and I'll visit a place I'm a regular at two-three times a week typically- being a local. Anyway- I had a plan to enjoy myself and tell everyone about the new place in Pompano. But the hostess was clearly disturbed that I took the cards- when they had about 50 there. You're brand new- you'd think you'd want the promotion, but she was upset. I explained that I would promote and send friends with money here as we would also bring our business partners here. Still- no smile, no thank you, just anger. Okay- so we sit at the bar- I won't get into all of specifics because this is already long enough- bartender paid us zero attention, wasn't attentive in the least, we paid her a 40% tip just because that's low for us- boyfriend typically tips 50-100% to anyone who serves us- NO thank you or anything or thanks for dining with us. She definitely saw how much we left her like it was expected. I've never had such amazing food with such poor service. I try to give the benefit of the restaurant being fairly new- but I had negative interactions with four of your staff. I wouldn't consider myself hard to deal with either. Literally couldn't ask my bartender any questions about the menu. She was so disinterested in helping. No one in there was smiling or happy to be there. It was so odd! Went in last night for the first time, on a first date. I must say the food was absolutely delicious, the ambiance was breathtaking and the service phenomenal. We had the salmon sushi roll as an appetizer, then a grilled shrimp caesar salad and bacon wrapped scallops entree. Our server Paola was attentive, informative and nice! After dinner we went upstairs to the bar area and had after dinner drinks. The music and energy was so much fun. Pompano Beach needed the Beach House! I may never see the date again, but I will definitely be back to the Beach House in Pompano! read more

The view from the beach house is amazing! However what an unfriendly unwelcoming atmosphere... The hostess were very friendly, warm and welcoming. We chose to order out as we were a bit under dressed after a day at the beach. At the bar the bartenders seemed uninterested to attend us.. Walked by us several times before asking if they could help us?? Didn't ask if we wanted a drink a menu.. We asked for a menu and waited again.. I finally informed the bartender we were ready to order. Once our food arrived we checked to bag-there were no napkins, no utensils. Very disappointing!! We ordered the fish tacos and shrimp tacos. The bartender informed us they were excellent portions. The tacos were tasty however-small, and the fish and shrimp were scarce.. An excellent restaurant must provide a balance of customer service and professionalism. The decor and view are fantastic but after this experience we're not interested in returning. read more
