After having breakfast here yesterday, my fiancée said "I am coming here at least once a week from now on" and I think that perfectly sums up our brunch experience. We came here on a drizzly Saturday and took advantage of their covered outdoor dining. I ordered their breakfast special (such a good deal!) so I could sample everything. Pro tip: ask for cheesy grits instead of plain- you'll be happy you did! Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the potatoes. Super crispy and so delicious. My fiancé got an omelette with all the sides and he loved it. The service was awesome as well. We will be back soon for sure! read more

Best Beach Breakfast at an Affordable Price! Cutest little small beach style brunch restaurant. Great portion sizes at an affordable price. I ordered the Complete Country Breakfast Special, which was the perfect amount of food to treat your salty and sweet taste buds. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the French toast was Incredible* (wish I ordered a full plate), crispy tasty bacon and instead of a starch, I was able to opt in for the most delicious fruit bowl I have ever had with shaved coconut on top....now that's going the extra mile to make me go COCONUTS for this place! Our waitress was darling and super sweet and was attentive to fill up coffee when it ran low. Appreciated her attentiveness even while we were sitting outside. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Can't wait to go back again soon!!! read more

Stopped in for lunch. The place was packed and Shannon helped me out at the bar. She is literally the nicest and most helpful server ever. I went with a turkey club and beans. It was a simple great lunch that arrived fast and perfect. Alternatively, allot of people were ordering breakfast food and other dishes coming out of the coop that looked delightful. I will for sure be back soon. 10/10 read more

Walked in this morning and saw that this place was highly reviewed. Walked in the front door and stood and waited to see what to do. Decided to sit at the bar. No menus and I watched a server slice of piece of bread with her hands and a used knife on the counter (no cutting board). Still yet to be noticed by wait staff. Waited for about 15 minutes. There are better places to go. Also not sure of the cleanliness of the food. read more

What a great experience at this cafe near the beach. Very welcoming waiters. The food was very fresh and the chocolate milk was yum. It was very crowded and busy inside but that means the place is very happening. I visited again today and food was awesome as usual, coffee was super fresh and delicious. We got a table right away, they were packed and kitchen was a little backed up, but hey... it's a holiday. Joy our waitress was awesome! This place ROCKS!!! I truly love this place, in my mind, it's the best breakfast in Jacksonville, and I have visited multiple other places. It's not fancy by any means, but they always deliver perfectly cooked to order eggs and delicious coffee, the never seems to end! My cup is always full whenever I stop by. If you visit on the early side of the morning, you should not have a long wait. Today, (Sunday) I didn't have to wait at all. Walked in 9:27 am and there were multiple tables available. If you are on the late schedule, expect to wait...but the wait is well worth it. Plenty of yummy items to chose from, at an affordable price. Highly recommended place in Jax beach. read more

Another amazing breakfast! This is the perfect spot at the beach to get out of the heat and get a great meal. The dining room is pretty spacious and the bench tables closely arranged for max seating capacity. We typically go for breakfast but the lunch food is equally as tasty. On this recent visit we ordered breakfast sandwiches. Wifey had scrambled eggs on an English muffin and I went with a bagel w sausage, egg n cheese all scrambled together. The food was out quickly and each plate included a fresh slice of orange, nice touch. Great food, service super friendly and efficient and the prices very reasonable. read more

I've been a big fan of Beach Hut for over 30 years BUT (surely you knew a "but" was coming) sadly this fixture of greal breakfast on Jax Beach has come to an end. It's always been a gamble getting seated on a weekend or holiday and we've learned to accept this as the price you gotta pay for decent food, reasonable prices and fast service (once you get a table). Lately however it is ridiculous. The final straw came recently when, after ordering and waiting over 45 minutes, I started noticing that people who had come in AFTER us were already eating and even finishing. I asked the waitress but she kept saying we were next. After more waiting (they obviously lost our order) I talked to the mgr. (owner?) who was rude and argumentative. we left and went straight to to First Watch ( a much cleaner restaurant) for a nice , fast breakfast. Beach Hut, you are off my list forever. read more

Just left one of my favorite breakfast spots thinking I may not return. Horrible and nearly rude service today. No refill on the coffee and waited over 15 minutes before I decided we had not enough time to wait. As I paid the server had a rude attitude and didn't feel the need to apologize. She left us there with no coffee and not even an apology? That's what the service industry is turning into. Too bad read more

You know that familiar smell when you walk into your Grandma's house? That's exactly what it felt like when i walked into the Beach Hut Cafe this morning. I stopped in here after a run on the beach and it completely hit the spot. As I sat sipping my coffee waiting for my breakfast to cone out, I watched as all the waitresses and staff smiled and welcomed people as they walked in the door. It was like every one was a regular and they knew them all by name. Definitely a place I will come back to again!! read more

Peggy , my server , was so welcoming, friendly and professional. This mom and pop diner was a real pleasure to find. Owners are in the kitchen cooking. I visited with my family today, and as usual, it never disappoints. Don't get discouraged by the usual long lines. It's just because this place serves delicious food at a great price. The lines moves pretty quickly and before you know it, you'll be enjoying your favorite breakfast treats. I had the vanilla iced coffee, and a scrambled egg breakfast. YUM! The food taste good. The atmosphere is cheap beach feel. That matches the name. They only have picnic bench tables. They are a bit uncomfortable. The server we had took a while to get to our table. Once she did, she always kept drinks full. They do offer a military discount. They do not have wifi. read more

The beach hut cafe is a good afternoon option if you skipped breakfast and want an early lunch or late breakfast. They don't serve anything out of the ordinary, but you know what to expect for cheap prices. My only complaint is no outside seating if I wanted to bring the dogs after a fun day at the park. They don't offer anything that sets them apart from other local places. read more

I've been here a million times and found this to be my go to spot unless they closed! But anyway I had a crippling stroke over a year ago and don't get out often if at all. So my son comes into town and tells me his flight is arriving at 10:30 which I knew this great diner would be open for take out seeing I can't walk. So I get the BLT with iceberg lettuce and tomatoes and a side of fries and a large iced tea unsweetened. I'm in heaven! I can't wait until Monday where I'll get my second dose of Beach Hut Diner! Maybe the same thing but maybe not! read more

My friends have been raving about this place and glad it lived up to my expectations.Normally it would be crowded and might take a while to get a table but luckily got the table with in 5mins. The place will probably reminds us of childhood memories as the interior is bit country style yet very good.We ordered Country Breakfast that comes with Pancakes,Grits,Eggs(your style),Bacon strip and Sausage and Coffee.The Pancakes are So soft and damn good. My friend ordered omelette filled with ham that came with French Toast and home fries.Ordered biscuit as separate order which was good too.It costed us $28 for 2 people. This place is a solid four stars for me. The location is nowhere near a beach it's in a plaza off of A1A, but it's cute and very friendly atmosphere makes up for the location. The food was fantastic I had a Mexican omelette that was absolutely delicious. The coffee was just OK. The service was spectacular! Everyone I was with loved their breakfast and it was a great experience! Keep in mind this is a very popular local spot... And if we weren't willing to sit outside in 50° weather we would've waited for about a half an hour to eat. read more

For the price of my western pita($5.09), it was delicious, plentiful and filling. It was all I needed for breakfast. On the other hand Ernie got the three egg omelette with hash browns, toast and a tiny side of grits. It was not a big amount for the money, but I think he enjoyed his meal. I have been coming here since they opened this place many years ago. I live in town, so I don't get to come as often as I would like. You basically sea yourself, when you can. After the chaos of getting a table, all is smooth sailing g after that. My sister, Terrie introduced me to Beach Hut Cafe many moons ago and I am glad she did! It is located in a small strip mall and pretty easy to find. Enjoy! I wish I had bought the fruit bowl as well, but there is always next time. Looking forward to my next visit. We went for a Sunday morning breakfast, as did dozens of other people. We were a little concerned about how the service would be with the crowd that they had. Not only was the service above and beyond, so was the food. The food was the quality and serving size that you would make it home. Our server, Lisa (I think, she was a very friendly blonde,) never had a moment to take a breath, yet she never seemed rushed at any of the tables and she paid focused attention to each customer. (I am a people watcher, so I was paying attention.). Well done! read more

I've been to this place SOOO many times. It is always delish. Crab cake and regular Benedict's are Fabulous! Staff is happy but busy as heck. Casual self seating but not cut throat. A local flavoring of people, seems a happy place. Even when you thing the breakfast rush is over, it isn't. If the weather is great it is perfect to mix and mingle with others in the line. Service is prompt and relatively friendly. Menu offers a wide option of diner food. Food took a bit longer to get to the table but since there is a continuous line in que to pounce on the next available table, it is understandable, and our waitress was upfront and warned us. Cozy, close tables made making new friends easy. I always cave and order a Benedict but never am disappointed. Always recommended. read more

So it was alright, but I feel like I just didn't order the right thing for my taste. But that's the joy of the seasonal menu. I really wanted to try the Caesar wrap, because I've heard a lot of good things about it. But then I realized I got there too early for them to be serving lunch, and I wasn't in the mood for any of their breakfast items. So hopefully I can try some of the food next time.

While I was in session, she returned to our rental condo and got locked out due to a malfunctioning electronic door lock. She couldn't reach me (ringer off), so she walked down the street to Breezy. Owner Nancy Breezy immediately welcomed her with open arms. She lent Judy her personal phone so she could contact the condo owners to get the door fixed. Once that was handled, Nancy introduced Judy to the regulars, making her feel completely at home. Judy ordered a delicious latte and some gluten-free baked goods -- both were outstanding. On a deeper note, Judy has been through an incredibly tough couple of years with painful losses that had shaken her faith in human kindness. Nancy single-handedly restored that faith. Breezy feels like a quaint, neighborly oasis of love, fueled by Nancy's genuine goodness. Everything served here seems infused with what we now call "Vitamin L" -- pure love and warmth. Nancy didn't just help with a locked door -- she rescued my wife's spirit that day. If you're in Jacksonville Beach, make time for Breezy. However, my husband received no dressing with his salad. By the time our server returned with the check, I mentioned this to her. She said that dressing usually comes on the salad. I have had that salad a dozen times at other locations and it has never come on the salad. Needless to say, it was a disappointing experience today.
