Service was great. I ordered oatmeal with fruit and peanut butter on the side, along with hot tea for my drink. My friends ordered avocado toast and a Southwest veggie bowl. We all really enjoyed our meals, tea, and cappuccino. I also loved the outdoor seating, especially with the heaters and complimentary blankets on the chilly day we visited Beach Plum. They also have tables inside, but we were all pretty cozy! Thank you!

This place was busy but seating was quick. The menu had many healthy options. Loved the fresh squeezed juice. I order the breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. The waitress was great here too.

Got here at 8:15 on a Saturday. There were plenty of seats available and the bar was fully open. Even as 8:30 rolled around, you'd be fine getting a great seat. I was surprised. Happily surprised. I ordered a Vanilla Latte - extra hot. It was wonderful. After a bit it cooled down more than my liking (I microwave my morning coffee probably 2-3 times while drinking it. I know ...) My waitress offered to do the same - I've never had anyone offer to warm my cup back up. Well it was PERFECT and she allowed me to fully enjoy my cuppa right down to the last sip. A big THANK YOU for that. My friend and I shared the Spinach and Mushroom Hash plate. It was good - I didn't care for the pickled onions though - I'll take them out next time. Their homemade jams were delicious as well. Overall, great option for breakfast/lunch. The staff is super accommodating and the place is clean. The food ain't bad either .

You walk in and it's friendly greeting. Tuck away in Carlsbad time here.started with Paseo real piña colada', pineapple mimosa. Salmon scrambled eggs, hash browns, apple sausage, fresh fruits. If you are hunting for the absolute perfect breakfast or lunch destination, look no further than Beach Plum Kitchen in Carlsbad. It is highly rated for a reason, and it completely lives up to the hype. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by a beautifully contemporary yet cozy cafe atmosphere. It has the perfect warm, welcoming neighborhood vibe that makes you want to sit back, relax, and stay a while. Whether you are catching up with friends or having a family meal, the space feels bright and inviting. We will definitely come again.

I came here with friends around 11am on a Saturday. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated right away at an outdoor table. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Avocado Toast. It came with a generous portion of avocado and a side salad. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I would definitely order it again. My only complaint is that the tables and surrounding areas could have been wiped down more thoroughly.

The food here never disappoints! Recently went for my birthday with a couple friends and the food was amazing as always and the wait wasn't too long so it was a win! Service was great as well.

A shout out to Ruben, one of the managers who was gracious enough to treat us to some baked goods before we left. And Sophia, who took such good care of us. This is our second time here and it is very nice and very, breakfast fancy. Is the best way to put it. We had the lemon ricotta pancake that had a blueberry on top with whipped cream and the eggs Benedict. That's we're just perfect. We ordered a little of the spicy hollandaise on the side to try it and it was just fantastic. Such a beautiful place and a great location and the nicest people in the world. Thank you so much

I usually have a good experience at this brunch spot. Here's a fun fact...the beach plum is a native fruit which grows mostly in the wild along the coastal communities from Maine to Virginia. I thought it was super cool that the owners are East Coast transplants just like me. The atmosphere is inviting and laid-back. I can tell the cleaning is kept up with. The staff are welcoming when I dine-in... seating is pretty quick and service very good. There are a plethora of food options, some traditional and some innovative. I'm a big fan of their house-made jams. I pretty much always enjoy my meals. Beach Plum Kitchen is where a good brunch is at Yelp Community :-)

Beach Plum was highly recommended when we were looking up a nice breakfast spot to eat! We thought it was going to be a long wait due to it saying to put your arrival time on their website (which I'm sure you should depending on the day) but we were sat immediately in a nice booth outside! I'm always looking for spots to have a gluten free meal and the fact that they have really great GF pancakes and other options, I was very happy with my food. Although, there was a minor issues with our coffee, the waitress was super attentive and even comped it off the bill. Overall, we will definitely be back for a quick and yummy meal at beach plum!

Apple Maps can either get you here or close by. It is located to the very left if you are looking directly at Cinepolis. I chose this spot because I had a birthday credit for $10 off from the Toast appI thought they served cocktails but they only had mimosas. I have been to this place for brunch years ago and remember it was good but today. I just had a mimosa mixed with cranberry and it was ok. The service is great and everyone I dealt with was very friendly.

First time at this restaurant and it was super busy with a private party in their outdoor patio and a 20-30min wait for a table. Luckily it was just 2 of us and we were able to be seated immediately at the counter. The staff was friendly and attentive. We got fresh squeezed OJ, fried chicken and waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, and the breakfast sandwich with hash browns. All of our food was delicious and we had plenty to take home as leftovers. Reasonably priced for great restaurant quality food. (If you want cheaper prices then go elsewhere and get cheap fast food.) The parking lot was full that day. I heard a customer mention he parked all the way on the other side of the shopping center since there was no parking close by. Be cautious of the two areas with one way lanes and there's some spots reserved for the Well Fargo bank (although it was a Sunday so people took any space they could find).

The lemon ricotta pancake is creamy & delicious. Get one pancake & let everyone taste. We had the tunacado & carnitas hash. The tuna was fresh &!so good w/the pesto. The carnitas were okay. It felt a little too heavy for breakfast for me. Some of the meat was fatty. It was still good but I would get something different next time. Our server was spot on w/service & detail. The ambiance is great for a breakfast venue. I will say, I've lived in Carlsbad for 8 years & I've never noticed their sign. They need to invest in a better sign, so it's noticed from the street. Just my two cents.

Seasonal berries - Half the blueberries were soft/decomposing

I ordered a CYO omelette with spinach, red peppers, mushroom, avocado, and cheddar. The avocado was missing from the omelette, but there was avocado smeared on the outside of the box. I ordered it with seasonal berries. However, half the blueberries seemed out of season. They were so soft and easily fell apart.

Hello, can you accommodate 18 people?

Good evening, We would be happy to! Please contact the restaurant during regular business hours to…

Is the 5% surcharge optional? We were a party of 2. The 5% fee not transparent upfront and once we received the bill, we learned it was at bottom of the "BACK" of menu in very tiny letters, but this was only after we had our meal. Disappointing :(

Yea unfortunately it's added to ur bill right away

Do you still serve, gluten-free pancakes?

    Yes, we do!

Do you serve, gluten-free pancakes, waffles, or GF French toast?

We do have gf pancakes but no waffles or French toast

    How is the brunch?

It is excellent. Fresh juice, homemade jam and deliciousness all over.

Are there beach views and o outside seating?

Even though you can't see the beach the patio seating is lovely and the beach isn't too far off. I still think you should come here because the food is so so tasty.

I read you only have two vegan options porridge and potatoes ? Is this true?

We also have house made granola, avocado toast and mushroom spinach hash which you can sub eggs for avocado, chiliquilles sub eggs for avocado is also vegan. In addition, all of our breads are vegan. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.…

Do they have Gluten free options?

    Yes we do!

How bad is the wait on a Sunday afternoon and are you stroller friendly?

You can put your name on the waitlist through Yelp. Our peak hours are 9-12 with the wait hovering around 45 minutes during that time. Just be sure to check in with the hostess when you get here. We don’t allow strollers at the table but we do have…

Do you have a gluten free menu?

Yes we have a gluten sensitive menu.

    About 19 people on 10/20/18 around 10am?

You can put your name on the waitlist 30 minutes prior to your planned arrival and we should be able to get you in close to your desired time. However, we won’t be able to provide a private room at this time.…

Do you accept a big group reservation? Like let say 20 people?

What day and time are you looking for? Will you be needing a private room? Thanks!

Is this a dog friendly place?

Yes :) You and your pup are allowed to sit in the patio area. They have a few designated dog tables so once those open up, you're good to go! Just let them know beforehand if you can!

    Are there mimosa flights?

    Yes

Where's a good place for pancakes in Carlsbad NM?

I feel like you asked about a Carlsbad CA restaurant vs Carlsbad NM so you're getting a lot of misguided answers. Good luck.

Do they serve alcohol? I'm hoping for a Bloody Mary with my bacon breakfast....

    Yes

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

    Yes, most definitely!

it's saturday night. we don't have a reservation. they tell us the wait is over an hour. what do we…read moredo? we wait. and thank jebus we did, because this ended up being one of the best meals i've had in a while. we started with the prawn. we each got one, and given that they're $10 a skewer, our bill started off STRONG. the prawns were perfectly roasted with hints of mezcal and prickly pear. the candied habanero or whatever garnish of death was on there totally kicked my ass in terms of spice. in true Asian fashion, we ripped the heads off and sucked all the goodness out of them too. no shame. you don't waste the good stuff. then the cornbread showed up. the group collectively agreed we'd pass on this one next time. for me, the goat cheese threw me off, but that's entirely on me because i hate goat cheese and still knowingly ordered something with goat cheese. i played myself. there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dish, but compared to everything else we ate, there wasn't anything particularly standout about it either. but then. the fucking broccoli showed up. it is literally charred broccoli with chermoula, lime, and peanut. that's it. BROCCOLI. and after taking one bite, i learned that broccoli could, in fact, be life changing. suddenly i was a new woman. a woman who wanted nothing more than to sit there and stuff her face with massive amounts of broccoli. unfortunately, i couldn't because we still had dishes to taste. and so i moved on to the pork belly. when people describe something as "melting in your mouth," they are specifically referring to Campfire's pork belly. because that's exactly what it did. just melted all up in my mouth and lit my taste buds on fire. normally, i find pork belly prepared this way a little heavy and can only stomach a few bites, but i could have eaten the entire dish. but of course i didn't, because i'm a lady. and the octopus was about to show up. and show up it DID. i don't like celery, and this dish had plenty of it, but because it was shaved super thin, it was actually super palatable. the octopus was incredibly tender, and there were little bits of chorizo throughout that gave it the perfect balance. also, love me a good chimichurri sauce. and finally, last but truly not least, the chicken. a whole ass half bird, charred to perfection with roasted red pepper, kumquat, and fennel. apparently i like fennel now??? i didn't even know i liked fennel like that, but here we are. if i hadn't already been stuffed to the absolute brim, i could have destroyed this entire dish. the chicken was juicy and tender, and paired with the fennel, you're almost like just having a healthy dish??? LOL. although we went in with every intention of ending the night with s'mores, our bodies simply said no. there was no more room at the inn. see what i did there :P so instead, we left and went on a very long walk to digest all the delicious goodness that was Campfire. i cannot wait to go back. mostly for the broccoli, which is a sentence i never thought i'd write in my life. and this time, i will absolutely be making a reservation.

Oh, Campfire, I'm glad you're still here and still have a special place in my heart. That said, my…read morelast two visits have been underwhelming. I always order the same dishes: the porridge bread, roasted broccoli, and ribeye for two. Since nothing else on the menu particularly interests me, those dishes are generally good--but when I'm spending $250-$300 on dinner for two, I expect the food to be exceptional, and it just hasn't been. I also haven't found the cocktails especially impressive in recent years. Campfire helped bring craft cocktails to Carlsbad, and my husband and I still reminisce about drinks like the roasted beet and charred corn. Unfortunately, the current cocktail menu hasn't made the same impression. Campfire is worth trying if you've never been, but as a local, it's no longer a restaurant I look forward to visiting regularly. These days, I'd probably go about once a year.

TINLEAF FRESH KITCHEN @ CARLSBAD…read more Parking is very tight, and it does get extremely busy since this place is shared with a bunch of other businesses and restaurants. That said, it's honestly a good kind of busy, the complex is super lively, and I absolutely love that vibe. I'd definitely recommend trying to find parking as quickly as you can, but we were able to snag a spot within about five minutes. I like how easy the set up is, you walk in, look at the menu, order and pay right away, then sit wherever you'd like while the food is brought out to you. Overall, the food quality was pretty decent. My family and I ordered family-style and tried a variety of items, including their salads, a mushroom plate, and the salmon. Everything was really good, although the salmon was a bit overcooked. I especially loved the fries that came with the salad. One thing I really liked is that they offer a lot of different combinations, so you can do something like half a sandwich with a soup or salad, or mix and match depending on what you're craving. They also have a convenient water station in the back corner, which is super handy. There's also an outdoor patio area, and it's such a cute spot, perfect for lounging with a drink, sandwich, or appetizer. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a quick lunch with friends. The vibe feels much more lunch-focused than dinner, and the staff was super friendly. There were also a lot of to-go orders while we were there, so it's clear this place is very popular.
