I was recommended Beach Plum kitchen by a friend of mine last year. I meant to visit a while ago, but as we all know, COVID happened and turned our lives upside down. I was torn between many of the menu items, as they all looked delectable, but I ended up ordering the Machaca green chilaquiles and a buttermilk pancake. The server was very nice and professional. She assisted in my selection and was the perfect amount of attentive. The machaca was very tender and flavorful. I loved the tangy taste of the green Chile sauce. The tortilla ships were the perfect amount of crispy and the eggs were nice and fluffy. The pancakes tasted good, but didn't blow my socks off. Great breakfast and lunch cafe. Super busy on the weekend so get there early or come in late. A variety of food that family and friends will find appealing. The price is exactly as it should be for the quality of food you get. And they offer a great selection of coffee brews that are delicious! I love the espresso there! Easter Sunday during Covid-19 could've been a drag, but ended up starting on the right foot thanks to the pre-order we did at Beach Plum. The line of cars was 30 deep but moved quickly thanks to the very efficient process the staff had in place to get orders out to their patrons. Extremely fast service! We arrived around 10ish and were seated, served and out of there by 10:40ish. The place was packed, so it was surprising how fast our order was brought out. First time here. To be honest my veterinarian is in the plaza below and my dog had her semi annual exam today so we came here to kill time. There was quite a few people outside so I was surprised we could sit almost immediately for a table for 2 inside. Coffee was a bit acidic for my taste so I had a soju Bloody Mary and that was fantastic. Our waitress was great and mentioned the specials. My husband has been talking about a lobster roll for months and he finally got one here and got the clam chowder too. Both were great. I got the chicken fried chicken and the chicken was juicy and somehow still crispy despite being doused in sausage gravy. Perfection. We will be back. Maybe she should smile a little more. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles Pick a Hash: Corned Beef (My friends order) The fried chicken was not good at all and I would not recommend it. The chicken is thinly sliced and it was oily. The pieces were hard like it was fried to the point of being burnt. I ate 1/2 of my waffle and 1 piece of chicken then took the rest home to my roomie. We ordered: Gluten free pancake- good Machaca beef with chips and green salsa- it was good but the green salsa was not my favorite Lemon pancakes- yummy but very sweet Thanksgiving waffle- this is very different but my friend said it is good with everything together however the waffle by itself was very dry Waffle-very good probably the best thing. Pop tart- strawberry. This needs to be heated as it is much better warm Coconut Tea was delicious! I used Beach Plum Kitchen to cater (deliver) a Sunday Brunch in my home for 15 people. Samantha was extremely pleasant and helpful with my order over the phone and delivered it right on time. The food was outstanding and there was more than enough for our group. We come here regularly and have consistently enjoyed the food. There is always a wait, so we like to go get coffee down the way and it's nice they let you bring it in. The service is friendly but can be a bit slow and forgetful (I had to ask about 5 times for an additional place setting at our last visit), but I assume this is because they are ALWAYS slammed. The chilaquiles are a recent favorite, but many of our party enjoy the options for the make your own omelets. The coffee cake, biscuits and gravy, and hash are good. One thing is that they don't seem to have a fryer, so the potatoes are only available as cubed "breakfast potatoes" which aren't crisped. The pancakes were also a bit dry.
