The cronuts are DELICIOUS. So much so that I bought some on Friday and came back on Sunday for more. And...the service was excellent! Everyone is welcoming and, they even took my preorder by phone. I called in at 6am one day and 8am on another day to reserve some of their donuts for later pickup. I was also touched by their generosity. I ordered a Reubenini and was super excited to try it out but they sadly ran out of sauerkraut. They asked if I wanted to change my order, get a refund, or if I wanted to add something else at a discounted price. I was eyeing their garlic Parmesan aioli tater tots but was told that it was a dinner item. Understandably, I decided just to get the Reubenini anyway without the sauerkraut to still try it out. So, I've been coming here for a while, sometimes it's me, or sometimes it's my wife to pick us up a morning refresher... And by refresher I mean a direct line of sugar right to the vein. With stale personality and people that probably only want your money and don't care about the customer service part of the business. You won't find that here... Every cashier or helper (including the managers) are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your experience as pleasant as if you were in your own home. The way they smile and talk to you is like they bring you in as a part of their family. A nice gentlemen (his name escapes me) explained to me the generations that Bear Claw has been active, and I was astounded. It a true testament to how brilliant a bakery really is if it's in business that long. Keep doing what you're doing! The food: if you're just wanting something savory and you're not much for sweets (how dare you) they have a fantastic selection of paninis that really kick you in your tastebuds. My favorite? The Hot Chick, seasoned chicken, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese and a chipotle aioli make this one of their greatest creations. The baked goods: they have some of the most unique and decadent donuts and pastries I've ever had. The strawberries and cream donut is one of my favorites and kind of speaks for itself. Then you have the banana and Nuttela that will push you over the edge of bliss. But don't worry! If you're traditional they still have all the old fashioned stuff that 'in their own way' have made a billion times better. From cinnamon rolls to bear claws (hence the name) you can't go wrong here. The breakfast sandwiches are really good. They make them panini style. I've gone twice and both times they've forgot to put the avocado in my sandwich. I didn't ask for it. It comes with it. I'd already left by the time I noticed but that kinda bugs me. Coffee is good too. I usually get iced coffee and apparently they charge extra for it to be iced? This is only a review of their donuts. Since that is the only thing we got when we went there, I cannot say how anything else is. Their donuts are the worst my family has ever had, and we have eaten many many different donuts from different donut shops all over the bay area and southern California and Seattle. Since it is not just me, but also my wife and son that felt the same, I knew it was not just a one of. They tasted like uncooked dough. An apple fritter we should be so much crispy on the outside, there's was mushy. Old fashions which should also be kind of crispy on the outside we're also mushy.. I would also write their Belgian waffles however they were not making them because of COVID-19, which is kind of a dumb reason If you like this kind of donut, great more power to you. I enjoy roasting my own coffee and I brew up a French Press' worth for my significant other and I then stop by the Bear Claw for their namesake pastry. I don't find them overly sweet but savory to say the least. My homebrew needs a companion from time to time and I can't think of a better accompaniment than a warm freshly made bear claw. In fact we've been known to drive 15 - 20 minutes just to have one compliment our morning coffee if nothing else...Truly a gem of a place for what can make your day start out just right. read more

One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! I came here to get some doughnuts mainly their maple bacon bar! Must try if you love bacon. I never leave without one. But when i was there i saw they had breakfast sandwiches for sale also. I got the one called "The hibernator" It has everything you want in a breakfast sandwich.
