Yum! A perfect start to a Saturday morning. Bagels are one of my top 5 food groups, I definitely eat them an unnatural amount. This is only my second time having a steamed bagel. It's not my preferred style but it was still delicious. It was the most ooey gooey bagel I've had in my life. I used at least 3 napkins in the store and got a wet nap when I got back to the car. I had the 317 bagel which was a purply blueberry bagel with cream cheese and cinnamon sugar. My favorite part was the bruleed sugar on top. My mom tried the Dr T and audibly said "mmm" when she was eating it. She is not a bagel fan so she's definitely a convert now. Both bagels came out hot piping hot and wrapped in foil. They would definitely keep well if you picked them up on the way to work. The staff were super friendly and we got our order pretty quick. My most recent visit, a Saturday brunch-ish hour, but we caught them at a not during a particularly crowded time. There was NO coffee in either big canaster. The server made some, but it took until after our food was out to be ready. I only had an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. Pretty expensive for what it was -- definitely a better value to get one of their sandwiches. My bagel was a little overdone. Weirdly not toasted a lot, but hard to chew. The hazelnut specilalty coffee was really armoatic and tasty. Just need to work on timing. When I first went to the Bearded Bagel I was all about the bagel sandwiches, because, well, bagel is in the name. They are great, but first I want to tell you about their biscuits and gravy! Best biscuits & gravy in town! I never liked B&G til my daughter made her own recipe, then everywhere I tried them out was disappointing... until I met the Bearded Bagel! So much sausage in the gravy and light fluffy biscuits - all in in.the perfect ratio. So you may start going there for the bagels, but you'll keep going back for the B&G!! Now about the bagel sandwiches, they are great too! Just know ahead of time that they are made steamed so everything inside is moist (sorry had to use the word ), melty, delicious and messy - messy is good in this case, it just melds all the flavors together! If you don't like moist, melty and messy, you can ask for the bagel toasted, but at least give the steamed a chance!! All the guys who work there are friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu. I first tried the Bearded Bagel at a food truck at the Fishers Farmers Market. It was tasty, so when I saw their brick and mortar store pop up near my home I knew I had to check it out again. They have an expanded menu and I haven't had anything that wasn't delicious! After several visits (and bringing in everyone I know to try it), I went in today for breakfast and it was excellent yet again. I actually got to meet Tom, THE Bearded Bagel guy, and he was super nice/friendly! I sat at the counter facing out to the parking lot and noticed that the barstools were pretty wobbly. I went ahead and mentioned it to Tom before I left and by the time I got out to my car I could see he was already tightening them up. I live for great service and love a team that takes action! We were in the area after running a quick errand and it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. Firstly, I love that they have their own large spacious parking lot. There's nothing worse than trying to figure out parking! It wasn't really busy when we got in, but at the time we left people started arriving. Very nice location and very courteous staff. Very clean and set up to eat there if you don't want to travel with it. Very easy to read menu and they wrap the food with aluminum foil. I though that would make the bread damp but it was fine. The food prep area was very clean and the employees wear gloves while they fix the food. Everything we have tried is great. I knew this business when they were a food truck. I happened to just see the store front and thought we would stop in for a late lunch and they did not disappoint as usual! Service was great as they were friendly and quick. It would appear a lot of their business is to go but there are plenty of places to sit and the dinning room was very clean. In addition there was ample parking. In the past we have ordered the handy Andy and the Vince Vaughn which we delicious but this time we decided to try something new so we got the veg pizza which was messy but great flavors, definitely something you want to eat in with rather than in your car. I love me a good steamed bagel sandwich. We usually go to Ripple Bagel Deli cause it's in our hood, but this is definitely another great option if you in fishers. They have a lot of sandwiches on their menu, but not an overwhelming amount. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The vegetables on my Sammy tasted so fresh and the cream cheese was amazing. My husband loved his BLT and said the bacon was bomb. We will 100% go back and recommend this spot to all of our friends. Bearded Bagel, what. a. place. The first time I had ever been here was with my now boyfriend at the time. It was his hype fixation at the time we started seeing each other and I can see why. The first time I went, everyone working had beards so it made the experience just that much better. Now, that's not the case! It doesn't change the experience though! It is a hole in the wall on 96th and it just makes the experience that much better. There are not a ton of good bagel places on the north side so having this here is perfect. The options are endless, and I try to get something new every time I go. My favorites are definitely the Bulldog one and the hangover one. I have recently come across the veggie one which is also incredible! Hungover or not, this place should be added to your "go-to" list for all things bagels and breakfast! When I first walked in the place was busy which is always a great sign. I heard a kiddo say "Mmmmm" and her momma agreeing it was yummy. A steady stream of people coming in and out all with delighted looks on their faces. The guy taking orders welcomed everyone with a bright warm welcome and a smile. Yesterday my family and I made a stop at the Bearded Bagel while we were out their way. When I tell you I have never been more satisfied eating food in my life, I was extremely happy we made it there. My husband got the Hangover Helper bagel. I got a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese for my daughter. I got the 317 bagel on blueberry for my son; and for myself I got the Hot Rod AND the Oskie Waskie. My daughter shared her bagel with her brother. They both raved. They love bagels and loved strawberry cream cheese, but they were entirely too happy eating this one in the car on our drive home. My Hot Rod bagel barely made it to the highway. The chipotle cream cheese and avocado on there were delicious. If my husband didn't have to be at work, I would have turned the car around to go get more. My son loved every bite of the 317 bagel, luckily he was nice enough to share with mommy. I was hoping to get a bite of my husband's Hangover Helper, but once we got home and settled, I looked up and it was gone. Lastly, but certainly not least, the Oskie Waskie. Now, I'm an expecting mommy and I get hungry at all different times of the day/night. It was a little after midnight last night that I decided to heat up my second bagel. I put it in the microwave for a little less than 30 seconds and it was perfect. Everything about it was perfect. The cream cheese the bacon on the onion bagel; but the bacon jam was my absolute favorite part. I was devastated when it was gone. I woke up this morning thinking about that bagel.
