I ordered Silver Fox from this location today. The meat is greenish brown, tastes and smells bad, hardly any cream cheese, onion bagel isn't fresh. Spoke with the owner who told me to bring it back in and he'd give me the same sandwich. Told me I was crazy and wasting his time!! I'm thinking the board of health might be eating his time soon for serving food like this. For a much better experience I posted a review with pictures for the 79th & Fall Creek shop with pictures on their app. Very helpful, great people at that location. And my sandwich was amazing!

On my way home from my chiropractor appointment, I decided to stop by Bearded Bagel to get some bagels for the week and breakfast because I had not been here yet and wanted to check it out. Bearded Bagel is a wonderful bagel place off of E 96th St. that makes their own bagels and provides breakfast sandwiches. When I arrived and walked into the bagel shop, I noticed the menu on the wall right away, and a casual, but bland, ambiance where people can sit to relax and socialize. The woman behind the counter greeted me with a smile and asked for my order. I took a few minutes to study the menu, and decided to go with the Doctor T's Sandwich for breakfast which is egg, American cheese, and Turkey sausage on a plain bagel. I also picked up a 1/2 dozen bagels for the week and tried the assorted flavors: asiago, blueberry, jalapeno, jalapeno cheddar, cran cinnamon, and everything. I did get an iced latte with almond milk for my beverage. The beverage was wonderful and refreshing. It was what I needed to pick me up in the morning. The Doctor T's sandwich was Ok and tasted good. The turkey sausage and egg combination was a perfect fit, but will see if I can get it on a Jalapeno cheddar bagel next time, because that would make it even better. The bagels are always top notch and first class. The jalapeno cheddar bagel and jalapeno bagel are my favorite. The cran cinnamon bagel is always good. Bearded Bagel is a wonderful bagel place in Indy, and the fact that thet have another location opening up very soon off of 79th Street makes me very happy because I can go somewhere else to get their bagels. I'm very glad I stopped by at Bearded Bagel for breakfast because now I can say I have been here, and it is worth the price and time for the bagels and breakfast sandwiches. You will see me here again for sure.

been on the hunt for steamed bagels that are a reasonable drive from noblesville and not sure if my craving will ever be fully satisfied. i've heard BB is similar to another steamed bagel joint, and i will admit, it was very similar. this bagel seems poorly put together and immediately fell apart. the egg was very odd so next time i'll do without that, but i'm glad i gave it a try

I hadn't had Bearded Bagel in forever and glad I stopped in to remember how good the bagels are! It was a busy Sunday morning but I was able to order and get my food quickly. I ordered the Handy Andy and added turkey sausage but forgot to add cream cheese! The menu on the board is a bit overwhelming with lots to read but I kind of had in mind what I wanted. The associates I came across working were very friendly and upbeat for a busy morning, truly appreciated that!

Decided to stop in here for a quick breakfast stop and I loved it! To start the ambiance really fits the name. Fun colors and an awesome board with lots of awesome options for sandwiches. When I walked in the staff was extremely friendly with Patrick being the all star that helped me. I also decided to try the biscuits and gravy at the end.. very good. Would highly recommend!! Will be back here for sure!

We've been trying to get to this place for a while now and even made a U-turn just to finally stop. I've heard so much about the hangover bagel, but on this particular day I wasn't too hungry. Even though it was hard to choose something else, I ended up getting the slammin sammy and it did not disappoint! It has bacon, egg, and American cheese on a plain bagel--simple but perfect. It was super filling, and I actually couldn't even finish the whole thing. I'll definitely be back to try the hangover bagel! Ps-- this place does not skimp on the cheese!! + very kind staff + easy parking

It's a bagel wonderland! I stumbled upon this little gem on one of my rare trips to the Northeast side of Indy. I happened to be in the area and in need of a little something to snack on. What should appear to my wandering eyes, but this cute little spot? I was so excited to pop inside and see how bright and cute it was. The menu is published right on the wall and it's colorful and defined by breakfast, lunch, vegetarian, etc. The gentleman at the counter was super friendly and yes he did in fact have a beard! My bagel was served warm, totally yummy, and more than filling. I noticed they had some food trucks parked out front so I'm betting I'll find them on one of my next adventures in the spring or summer time. Can't wait to check out some more of their bagel offerings!

Loved the B&Gs! Our bagels were okay, but we found out BB just started doing their own bagels (literally that week I believe) so makes sense why they may not have been the best showing. Will be back to try them again I'm sure! Always love seeing & visiting their trucks at Famers Markets & such so I know they're really good & great service!

I was really excited to try Bearded Bagel because of all the hype I've seen! Except, the bagels were just ok. Kind of small and just not as tasty as I expected. Mine had pepper jelly that was really good though! The star was the biscuits and gravy - creamy, sausage gravy with fluffy biscuits! We would go back just for them! Service was fast and the ladies taking orders was friendly. A lot of pickup orders came in while we were there, but there are also seats inside to eat in.

Plenty of lox and so good!

Stopped in for the first time, which can sometimes be a bit intimidating in a place like this. Customer service, Holly, absolute chefs kiss, phenomenal! Ordered the Silver Fox minus cucumber on an everything bagel. Delicious! Will definitely be back!

You have basic and then you have premium. You have bagels and then you have bearded bagel. There veggie, turkey, pork bagels and then the good old cream cheese and traditional bagel for those who don't prefer the number of fix ins. We tried Pizza and Lox bagel and the flavors combined with the steamed bagels just didn't disappoint. It was filling, fresh, tasty and absolutely divine combos. Service was super quick and I got my to go order in less than 10 minutes. I believe bearded bagel does Food trucks all over Indy and it does look like the concept works really well for BB. Great weekend spot, good fresh breakfast right beside Sam's club.

Omg, what can I say! As someone who isn't usually a fan of bagels, this was hands down the best one I've had in Indy! I tried the chipotle cream cheese before ordering, and it was absolutely amazing! It was so flavorful with just the right kick. Every bite of my bagel was delightful, and I loved how cheesy it was! I only wish this place was closer to me. It's a small spot, but there's plenty of seating. Definitely worth a visit!

    Em and O breakfast sandwich

Absolutely delicious. I stopped in this morning on my way to work and I will be back. I ordered the Em and O breakfast sandwich on a asiago bagel, fried egg, American cheese added mayo and had it steamed. The bagel texture was perfect, a delicious start to my day. The people working there are welcoming, friendly with genuine smiles.

I also purchased a chocolate croissant (I love me a good chocolate croissant) and it was so flaky, buttery, and filling, very delicious. I warmed it up a bit at home and enjoyed every bite of it. I've shared, quite often, of my deep appreciation for the Shapiro's response when I had accessibility concerns about their Fashion Mall location. They did a remarkably beautiful job of responding well, adapting, and yet also honoring their own business needs. The end result became a more accessible layout that was still customer friendly for everyone. I will always appreciate that response and should their praises. But, there's something special about this location. It's the look. It's the feel. It's the vibe. It's just everything. A little bit of Shapiro's history - you can trace the Shapiro family back to 1795 Ukraine. Louis and Rebecca Shapiro landed stateside in 1905; within a couple years opening a small grocery/deli. In 1925, they leaned into their cultural and faith roots after the election of Ed Jackson as governor (Jackson was a well-known Klan member). They added the word "kosher" to their building and a Star of David. (As someone who's traveled over 7,000 miles by wheelchair, I love a good act of subtle rebellion). They more and more leaned into their cafe routes, and in 1984 added a second location on the northwestside. I probably frequented this location the most since I went to Pike High School. As we all know, that location eventually closed. Fashion Mall lasted about five years. There was a Carmel spot, too. But, for me, it always comes down to this location. It's warm. It's friendly. The food is a premium deli experience. I love the meatloaf (like seriously). They have breakfast, they have a ton of baked good options (cakes, cookies, others), soups, salads, hot deli, cold deli, sandwiches, entrees, and a whole lot more. I love the baked goods. I love the fried chicken. Is it a bit pricey? Yep. You also get enough for at least a couple meals (if you can truly hold out that long). Accessibility is solid here. I've already talked about their attention to that kind of detail. It's real AND it's sincere. Strangely enough, I've never had the Reuben here. It's one of their acclaimed sandwiches, but there's always something else I want more. While you can spend a fair amount here, you can also eat here pretty modestly. Shapiro's, at least for me, is one of those places that defines Indy. I'd likely weep if they ever left our city. Good food. Great family. Wonderful location. Fair pricing. Accessible. Quite honestly, it's just about everything I want a restaurant to be.

Met up with two friends for brunch at Love Handle and it absolutely delivered. Great location at…read morethe end of Mass Ave near Bottleworks--and pro tip: parking directly in front on the same side of the street is free. The space is big and fun, with a large dining room, an old-school video arcade game, interesting art, and a big screen playing movies, which adds to the laid-back, quirky vibe. It's counter service with clear menu boards on the wall, making ordering easy. I had the cheesy jalapeño grits with bacon and an egg and... my goodness. So incredibly delicious. One friend ordered the same grits but swapped in fried catfish instead of bacon--also a fantastic choice. Our third went with a classic plate with eggs and bacon, and let me tell you, the bacon is thick and plentiful. We ordered a side of fries for the table and there were more than enough to share. Self-serve coffee with all the fixings is a nice touch, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Fun atmosphere, great food, solid portions--definitely will be back.

Love Handle is in the best neighborhood right on Mass Ave! It's super close to amazing shopping,…read moreand the vibe inside is vintage diner with an artsy twist. The food just needed a little fine-tuning to really shine. The catfish seemed to have a beer-battered coating that felt a little soft and held onto some extra moisture instead of having that classic light crunch. I would love a bit more flavor baked right into the waffle and biscuit dough--though the gravy flavor was definitely a win! Also, the grits lean heavy into jalapeno notes rather than a creamy, cheesy base. It's such a cute venue with great energy, and a few little kitchen adjustments could make it amazing!
