I wish I'd known about this place sooner. Snack selection is extensive - huge portions, made fresh, and not too oily. The owner recommended shrimp spring rolls (not on the LCD menu) which came served on a mountain of seasoned fries. Each roll had a long shrimp, like the kind used in shrimp tempura, and they were so good! I'm even more impressed by their drinks. Any tropical fruit you can think of, they've got it. For the amount of fresh fruit and toppings already included in some of their drinks, their prices are unbeatable. Definitely try the soursop punch (generous pieces of soursop + basil seeds). We also got the grapefruit pomelo tea (refreshing, comes with aloe vera and basil seeds), ube waffle (giant, great flavor and perfect texture), and fish balls (smaller size balls than I've seen at other places but still delish). I'm not sure if there was a language barrier or what, however they supposedly didn't have two of the drinks that I wanted to try (pink dragon & watermelon/strawberry sago) So, I settled for a suggestion from the woman working the front (kiss on the lips). My friend and I often come here for lunch, but primarily because they had a really good vietnamese sandwich. We went last week only to find that they no longer serve vietnamese sandwiches. The only food items they have now are your typical deep fried foods like popcorn chicken, calamari, fries, etc... Needless to say, we left and they have lost our business unless they bring back the sandwiches. Although the drinks here are decent, there are other tea places nearby that I'd much rather frequent. I am not sure why they removed the sandwiches from their menu, but I strongly believe that this was a bad move on their end. I do believe with so many tea shops in the area, they should keep a signature menu item that sets them apart and makes them stand out. Joy, the owner, is a gem! She is so dedicated to her craft and it shines through the lovingly curated drinks and shop as a whole. Hubby and I catered from Beasttea for our wedding last November, and it was a huge hit -- to the point where the drinks ran out in less than 10 minutes kind of hit. Luckily, this shop is close by our home, so we can indulge without breaking the bank :) Our go-tos - which can also be customizable for sugar/ice levels - are: 1) Avocado smoothie, or sinh to bo (a Vietnamese classic): Perfectly blended and not too sweet, fresh, and pairs so well with boba. Others have missed the mark on this or it ends up being too chunky or watery, but Joy perfected this one. 2) Oolong tea: Milk teas can really be a hit or miss, I've found. Even when adjusting the sugar and ice level, you can tell they don't skimp on the rich, potent tea flavor for that nice caffeine kick. I've attempted to make my own milk teas at home, and nothing ever came close, and it's really easy to fall into the trap of watery, diluted messes. My friend said Beasttea can also turn the Oolong into a decaf version if you wish, so I'll give that a shot next time. read more

This whole shop is a 1 woman show. The woman who works here is amazing she is always here running this tea shop and is always hustling. Tea here is really good they have a pretty big menu of tea/drink options. She is very polite but please be patient with her as she is literally, I think, the only person who works in this shop ever. read more

Not too sure what makes this place so "beast-like," but I definitely know why it's a place worth coming back to because their drinks are on point! The hubby and I stopped by on a Saturday evening, finding the place quite vacant and hearing Vietnamese conversation from the back. The menu is large with lots of snacks, fruit teas, smoothies, milk teas, and even gelato (which strangely didn't have a price posted next to it). The hubby and I took some time perusing the menu before selecting the organic jasmine milk tea with crystal boba for myself and the Beastea special for the hubby. Prices and the cup size are typical of most boba establishments so no wallet pain here. When we were served our drinks, a woman (who we presume to be the owner) insisted we tried our drinks there so that she can make any adjustments to the sweetness level if necessary. That was really kind of her, but when we took a sip of our drinks, we quickly realized there was no need. We both had jasmine tea in ours and it had the perfect balance of jasmine flavor to sweet milk. I also loved the crystal boba with that delightful crisp texture. The hubby's Beastea was served with cheese balls, a topping made of red jello (strawberry perhaps?) with a ball of cheese in the middle. It was a strange topping to say the least and while it didn't necessarily taste bad, it was quite a hassle to have to remove the lid and scoop it out with a spoon. Definitely not a convenient topping to enjoy on the go. Besides the cheese balls, the hubby and I really enjoyed our drinks from Beastea. Their claim of using raw cane sugar instead of corn syrup was certainly appreciated and the milk teas themselves were pretty dang good. My family and i came here for drinks since my sister enjoyed this place. I had personally never been here before, and seeing the menu i was excited. There was all sorts of things ranging from snacks, ice cream, smoothies, and milk teas. the place was clean and simple, a nice place to take cute photos. I was tempted to get the popcorn chicken, but i decided against it since my main reason to come here was to get boba. We ordered a thai tea, coffee milk tea with boba, black milk tea, and a honey lavender twist lemonade. the thai tea was okay, but it wasn't great (5/10) the black milk tea tasted more like milk and sugar rather than tea (6/10) The coffee milk tea was good, so i'll give credit to that. the coffee milk tea itself i would rate an 8/10. The honey lavender lemonade looked really pretty, but it did not taste the way it looked. It was really watery, so much so that it only tasted like water with a hint of lavender. Maybe i just had a bad experience but i would definitely not order the lavender lemonade again. 2/10 overall, everything was okay except for the one drink, our customer service was great, and i would probably come back for another drink or maybe ice cream. read more

Beastea was really just ok. It was a good place to sit down and catch up with a friend for a while, but I wouldn't recommend going if you're just picking up a drink. They also have some board games that you could borrow if you're staying a while. I had one of their drinks with peach bits in it. It was pretty sweet even though I asked for 50% sweetness. On the other hand my friend asked for no sugar and her drink REALLY had no sugar...so I think they probably just use more sugar than other tea shops that I frequent. I'm happy that there is now a tea place next to 99 chicken because after a meal of meats, nothin' sounds better than boba. However, if I was coming just for the tea, it wouldn't be likely since the parking is really cramped in this plaza. I was lucky to come at an off time in the day so there was a lot of free space. I had the Eternal Peach and it was your standard peach green tea. It had nice tea flavor. Their egg pudding was cut into small cubes which made it interesting, didn't exactly enjoy it, but the boba balls were good! To say that I like boba, and snacks in general, is an understatement. So in search for new places to try, this came up on my list. Upon entering the place, I could immediately tell that it still had the same layout as the previous restaurant that occupied the spot. All they did was repaint and add a bit of wall decor. As for the boba, I tried one of their signature drinks, the Taro Lover and the boyfriend got the Wintermelon Sea Salt Cheese Creama. The Taro Lover was good! It had a generous amount of real mashed taro in their drink so that made it really took it to a different level! The Wintermelon creama had a good amount of creama too. They didn't skimp out on the ingredients. We also got the pandan waffle and popcorn which were both just ok. We had better elsewhere. My brother and I decided to expand from our usual boba places and came here after checking on yelp. I got the beasttea special (jasmine milk tea with cheese crystals)... the cheese crystals were so unique! The best way I can describe it is lychee jellies with sweetened cream cheese cubes in each jelly. My brother got the passion fruit tea with strawberry and mango bits... it was really good as well and we heard it was the number one best seller. What I really love about this place besides the good tea was how nice the staff was. The woman helping us gave us great recommendations and was very attentive to follow up with us after we tasted our drinks to make sure we liked it and that the sweetness was perfect to our liking. I've had this place bookmarked quite awhile ago (since their grand opening) but haven't had a chance to try it until very recently even though I've been back to the same plaza to eat 99 Chicken and other restaurants, haha. When my sister and I first entered the place, there was absolutely no one inside & it took awhile to get the waitress's attention because she was watching something on her phone in the kitchen. I wanted taro lover but the waitress told me that they use powder in the drink (not real taro), so I decided against it and got Thai Tea instead. However, the waitress kept insisting that I get taro lover so I got a little annoyed even though I kept repeating my order for Thai Tea at least 3 times (she just kept saying "you want taro lover? you really should try it."). Came here for a social distance boba run with a few friends and I was sadly disappointed! Drink I got: Matcha latte with boba - 50% sweet Matcha flavor was weak, you can slightly taste it but it wasn't coming through the way I would have liked it to be. The milk pretty much overpowered the whole drink and for being 50% sweet it was pretty sweet. The boba was chewy, but too soft for me...I'm the type of person who likes a little more density to it. It definitely tasted like lychee, however the slushie was soooo frozen that it was hard to suck it up through the straw. After some mixing and some thawing, 5 minutes later we were able to enjoy the drink. Overall, I thought the drink was alright. Prices are average. Unfortunately, my friends did not enjoy their drinks though. They are pretty inconsistent with their ice, my friends drink was completely room temperature. I wouldn't recommended getting the mango matcha drink, it was a strange combination. The Taro lover drink had chunks of actual taro in it which may be your thing, but for me I would pass. Overall this is your average tea place, nothing I would go out of the way to visit. Haven't gotten a chance to try their snacks but it seems they have a lot of options. Drink wise my go-to's are the green thai tea, passion my tension, and roasted oolong milk tea at 25% sweetness (drinks tend to be a bit sweet here IMO especially the teas with fruit bits).The owner is friendly and engages with the customers, but the winning factor for me is probably the convenient distance to my house. I wanted an order of popcorn chicken and deep fried calamari that day. When it came time to order I find out that their kitchen is done so no fried foods at all. They offered the pandan waffle and spring rolls. I got an order of both and a regular house milk tea, jasmine milk tea, mango smoothie, and some other fruity drink with strawberries. I'll note that the sweetness level were adjusted on the milk teas to be around 50%. I had no problem ordering. The girl working was friendly enough and took our huge order without much stress so that was great. What wasn't great was probably the wait of it all. The milk teas were bland and my strawberry fruit juice whatever it was just tasted like straight up sugar with hella pulp. Even my boyfriend who's a big fan of strawberries was not a fan of this drink. What's the worst part of this overall visit? Waiting over half an hour for spring rolls. The waffle came out quick with our drinks, but these spring rolls kept eluding us. And there were other people in here too just waiting for their snacks. I stumbled upon this place on yelp passing through the area and I'm glad that I did. My matcha latte with egg pudding was exactly how I liked it. You can customize how much sugar gets put into your drink so you can get it exactly how you want. I also tried their banh mi which was flavorful and crispy. Just how I like it. I went back there after work to grab more drinks for the family. Lucky me, the store was just opened and there was BOGO going on. Their menu is hell yall covered with different kinds of drinks. I was confused a bit before I could decide what to try. Asking more, I knew they used brown sugar for their teas instead of fructose, that is why their drinks are kind of washy than regular. I've been here twice now, getting two similar drinks, can't remember the names of them now but one had jasmine tea, strawberry, mango, and bits at 50% sweetness (my normal % at other boba places for fruit tea) and the other had jasmine tea, strawberry, guava, and bits at 75% sweetness. The strawberry, guava, and bits one was substantially better than the other drink, as the other's mango bits were hard and very unripe. The drink with mango also was less flavorful than the guava one, which might have been attributed to how much sugar I had them add. I would give this shop another try (though the mango drink was a bit disappointing) with either a different drink of the one with guava again as I really liked it when I came on my first visit. One thing of note is that the employees forgot almost everyone's boba toppings the first time I was here even though it was on all of our receipts. So if you ordered a topping, I'd double check that they actually added it when you receive your drink. read more
