This place is awesome! We rented out the restaurant for our son's graduation party this past July 2024. The owner, Kiko and his staff did such a wonderful job on the food and service!!! In addition, the band Simplicity was a bonus to our event. The music was great and the band really brought our party together as many were Kamehameha school alumni. Thrilled to have finally tried this place out! This was on a Yelp list of Native Hawaiian owned businesses and I live nearby, so I wanted to check it out. The bonus was they had an Easter Brunch buffet today -- which was perfect for me and my 10 yo niece. The buffet had a perfect balance of savory and sweet options, and I couldn't eat nearly as much as I wanted to! I wish I could have bought a bottle of the Lilikoi Vinaigrette! The service was fantastic and the staff was super attentive. The ambiance was relaxing. My niece and I have decided we will come back regularly and bring other family with us. There aren't a ton of breakfast place options on this side that also have a comfortable dining-in atmosphere. We will definitely return! read more

Good food. The only thing that was odd to me is we saw everyone else's massive portions and ordered the short ribs and the portion was on the small side. It tasted great, but it wasn't enough to fill us up. Just know some portions are huge and others are a little small. We were a party of 5 - 2 adults & 3 kids. It took approximately 8 mins to seat us. Mind you, it wasn't a full house & it took even longer to get our food. Has to be the best burger on island! Was cooked perfectly. The ratio of meat to bun to sauce to toppings was spot on and just so well balanced. Kalbi was delicious and so flavourful. They also sell shaved ice which was great although the ice wasn't super smooth. But my favorite was the strawberry pineapple butter mochi. Looks so unique but the flavor was great! We heard about this restaurant from a friend who works at the Hawaii kai GC. We decided to try it and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of their food. I had the guava chicken and my wife the pork belly plate. Now at least there is another place on the eastside that people can go to for tasty local foods. Can't wait to try their other creations. Wonderful food and atmosphere. Every thing about the plates were amazing! Right when we got inside we were greeted by the owner, Grandma Nette. She sat down with us as we enjoyed our meal. Love her welcoming energy and overall character. We got the three choice plate of guava chicken, pork belly, and garlic shrimp. We also got the two choice option of garlic shrimp and pork belly. This was my second visit to this new neighborhood eatery in the Niu Valley Shopping Center. Has a nice comfy ambiance with live music on certain nights. Had to come back after my first experience of great food and service. I was not disappointed and we brought a couple of friends from out of town and they were pleased with their selections. The first time we came we had the guava fried chicken, the pork belly, tempura bites, fried shrimp, and poke salad. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and very tasty! This time we came on Taco Tuesday and had the pork belly, the chicken, and the shrimp tacos. They were good! We also ordered the umami fried rice and the guava fried chicken off the happy hour menu and got $5 margaritas. They weren't very strong but what do you expect for $5! LOL. All in all, I love this place! I have a feeling I won't be able to just walk in and get a table without a reservation soon because this business is gonna take off but I'm gonna enjoy the ease of eating here while I can! read more

Disclaimer: This is a real time review. This post pace is extremely easy to get to in Aina Haina. Since it is lunch time I expected plenty traffic but there was none. It took me 31 minutes from Ewa. Parking was scarce but there is an additional lot. We were seated quickly. I do appreciate our waitress letting us know what was not available (oyster shooters, pasteles, and furikake ahi). The vibe is really nice not over complicated. I'm not drinking today but I can see myself coming here to drink with my friends. The Ahi Dip was delicious! I ended up getting the paniolo burger... it was good. I really came for the oyster shooters so I just made it work. The prices are kind of high but this is a most wealthy part of the island so for this side of the island I could say the items were decently priced. I will definitely visit again. read more

Stopped here after our trip to the beach for some spectacular garlic shrimp and chicken. Food was hot and fresh. My wife and I shared the combo meal and it was plenty to hold us over until dinner. The meal also included a bottle of water which was nice. The place is basically a tent in front of a business next to a McDonald's with only a bench to sit and eat, so takeaway is probably the best option.
