Loved my dinner here after seeing HK on Broadway. Super close to the theaters. The quality of food was delicious and I recommend the Chicken Parm!!! The service was great loved seeing waiters walk around with giant hot pans of pasta! Delicious. I wish the three pastas they offered the day I went were different so definitely check online because they change daily. Two of them were just lacking sauce and basically a pasta salad. BECCO is always on the agenda when in the city for theater! Service is prompt and efficient. Menu--yes, you can select from a fine menu, but we (our theater-binge group) always choose the 3 entree symphonia. Beginning with salad, followed by three different pastas and preparations. Additional servings gladly served, have more of all or just your favorite. Dessert? The cheesecake is delightful, if you have room. Honestly, I enjoy too much pasta on most visits. Recommended? The olives and bread were good although I wanted to dip my bread in olive oil instead of hummus dip. Becco is a very nostalgic restaurant for me. When I was a kid, my mom would take me here for the amazing antipasto and unlimited homemade pasta and then we'd go see a broadway show. I haven't been back in many years. But, my husband and I went last week and it was exactly how I remembered. Started with fresh bread, olives, and white bean dip. Delicious antipasto and all three pastas were great. We also had cocktails (my sidecar was better than his old fashioned). The server was friendly and asked immediately if we had a show we were seeing afterwards (which we were). The restaurant was very busy but they had a lot of staff buzzing around and it didn't impede the service. We went here last Thursday for dinner, and luckily, we were able to walk in. But for the weekend, you'll probably need a reservation since it fills up fast. Also, it took about 30-40 minutes for the food to come out, so if you're in a rush, this might not be the place for you. We also waited like 15 minutes for our beer. Although the service was slow, they were super friendly. We tried the Sinfonia de Pasta, which had three different pastas of the day: Krafi with brown butter and sage, Paccheri with short rib ragu, and Spaghetti with tomato sauce. I also got a Caesar salad, and my friend went with the antipasti misto. The food was solid, and the pasta was well-made. Portions were really generous too. I liked two out of the three pastas, especially the Krafi (ravioli) with brown butter and sage--it was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I'd love to come back to try more pasta next time. We were so full that we skipped dessert and took some leftovers to-go. Just a heads up: an 18% tip is added automatically to your bill. Becco was pricey but nothing outrageous and worked perfectly for our group before a show. Three of us had their $35 unlimited pasta and appetizer deal and were completely stuffed afterwards. I love that they give you three different pastas (linguini al vongole, beet tortelini and a classic bowtie pasta with tomato sauce). My coworkers and I came here for a work event. They rented out a small room upstairs for the event. The place itself is very easy to find, it is on the smaller size but very cozy. If you have a large group coming then I would recommend make a reservation in advance to ensure that you can get a seat. The staff is very friendly and the service was great. So good, highly recommend -Trancio di salmone: My least favorite out of the three but still delicious. Our friends went here while visiting New York earlier this year and highly recommended this spot for dinner before a show and specifically mentioned their burrata. Sold. We started with the friend recommended burrata and drinks. The burrata was so, so good. Perfect oozy burrata texture, served on top of crusty bread and grilled broccolini. Yum. For our mains, my honey got the Osso Bucco and I got the swordfish, which I think was a special. Both were perfectly cooked. My honey still says this was the his favorite meal of the trip and, while we ate a lot of delicious things, I may have to agree. Service was prompt and friendly throughout. For the table, they bring you olives, bread and breadsticks. The three pastas that night were fettuccine with pesto and asparagus, penne a la vodka with shrimp and spinach ravioli. Out of the 3, I liked the penne a la vodka with shrimp the best. They were ok but nothing spectacular. For dessert, we ordered the dessert for two but it was kinda skimpy. My wife & I had such a great experience at Becco last night! We signed up for a special dinner hosted by Lidia & Joe Bastianich. The menu was created by Lidia and Bastianich Wines were served from their family vineyard. All food was served family style which was great because if you wanted more, the wait staff came over and gave you another portion. Lidia wrote a new cookbook and had a special table signing. A few years ago I read Joe's book Restaurant Man and I am excited to meet both of them in person. Walking to the hostess stand, the restaurant on a Tuesday night was packed! There was even a little 4 top table in the foyer! I think the event pushed everyone into the main dining room, it was great to see everyone just enjoying New York City. Now I've been on cruises, when you're seated at a communal table, some couples might be shy. I know how to get everyone talking! Table 8, we honestly had the best table. Everyone shared about themselves while we feasted on fried calamari rings. The first course was a ceasar salad, Eggplant Rollatini, roasted cauliflower bites and the outrageous Calamari Fritti. The calamari was cooked perfectly and I loved the side sauce. Next the pasta dishes, Potato Gnocchi with tomato, burrata and fresh basil as well as Casarecce with shrimp & broccoli. The Gnocchi was so pillowly light, they melted in your mouth. Perfecto! Now there are family style servings coming out, pan fried Monkfish, sauteed chicken breast and fall of the bone pork shoulder. You want more? The wait staff was happy to oblige and serve you more food and wine. What I didn't expect to see was the love people have for Lidia. One of the guests at our table had past cook books Lidia signed as well as a children's book. (Joe isn't signing my iPad) Joe also spoke about how the Becco is near and dear to him, he opened the restaurant in his 20s and there are people working now that have been there for decades. At the end of the night I snapped a picture of my wife with Lidia, signing her book. I told her the branzino at Lupo is still the best I ever had. Starting from a restaurant in Queens to multiple restaurants, "Eataly" (We've also been to the Boston location) a Michelin Star restaurant for Del Posto, Lidia & Joe Bastianich built a beautiful family business for all of us to enjoy. read more

The restaurant felt a lot larger on the inside than it looked on the outside, and it wasn't too busy after 1 PM on a Saturday. I'd suggest a making a reservation in advance for eating at peak hours, since the tables around ours were all finishing up as we were seated. The restaurant felt homey and warm with the decor. The complimentary sliced bread sadly wasn't warm when they brought it out, but the thin, crunchy breadsticks with seasoning were addictive. The Insalata Cesare, the caesar salad, was solid, and they brought it out maybe 5 minutes after we placed our orders. The service here was quick, and we even got the pastas right after we finished our appetizers. The unlimited pasta serves their rotating three pastas, and the selection and variety were surprisingly good. The pasta was perfectly al dente; I've never had such al dente pasta before at a restaurant. Very good Italian spot in Manhattan! The food is delicious and you get a generous portion with the entrees. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food in Manhattan and they have many options including their unlimited table side pasta trio special that changes regularly. We were seated right next to the kitchen so it was a little noisy and hard to hear some of the people at our table, but this didn't cause too much of an issue. The service was okay but our waiter had limited understanding of the menu and the capability to make any alterations based on dietary restrictions. The first thing you'll notice is how bustling this restaurant is. You definitely should make a reservation in advance and also anticipate that you will likely be directed to wait in the crowded bar area (or lined up against any spare wall you can find) for a drink before being seated. We did the unlimited pasta table side service for $30, which included a complimentary bread basket and caesar salad. From that point, they keep bringing more pasta around throughout the meal. These included three different dishes, and you can have as many of each as you'd like included. There's no denying that it's made 100% fresh daily, and I truly tip my hat to executive chef William Gallegher. One person at my table said it was the best gnocchi they've ever had in their entire life. There was another pesto dish that had garlic, bacon and braised cauliflower that was my favorite personally.
