You can bring in photos, you can tell them what it is you're going for, let them know what you can and can't take care of, but it doesn't matter. Don't expect anything more specific than "haircut". They are just going to give you a haircut they want to. It happened to me when I got some layers earlier this year (I stressed that I often wear braids and would still like to be able to) and they made them too short, so I can't have braids without lots of spikes sticking out. Today my spouse went in with several photos of how much he wanted cut off his hair (chin length) and he came back with short hair. No, it isn't what he wanted and he's too nice to speak up. I saw all the photos of what he wanted and none of them is what he got. I don't even understand what happens between you telling them what you want, and then they decide to just do whatever. It's always a little disappointing, but today was just upsetting. He looks good, but looking at him just makes me mad about how he paid and tipped well and just got the Bedolla of the Day. read more

So I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian blowout and called a few days beforehand to ask about the process. I spoke with Aide, and at the end of the call, she informed me that they charge $10 extra per inch over shoulder length hair but couldn't give an appropriate quote without a seeing my hair. I told her I didn't want to pay extra (hence why I bought a Groupon which is typically all inclusive of costs) and how my hair is about 2" longer than shoulder length, and she told me it probably wouldn't cost anything extra and it would be fine, and so I made my appointment because I was satisfied with that response. I went in for my appointment and right before we're about to get started, she brings up that conversation and tells me she has to charge me $20 more. At this point, I'm pretty unsatisfied since I just drove 40 minutes to get there and I reminded her of our conversation. She said she couldn't fully assess the cost until she saw my hair and since it was 2" longer than my shoulders, it would be $20 extra. We sort of went back and forth and I told her I wish she would've been more transparent with the price and how she told me it would be fine and she wouldn't charge me extra. I didn't want to go through the hassle of driving back home without my hair getting done and returning the Groupon, so I agreed. Overall, Aide did an amazing job on my hair and I'm really satisfied with the blowout. I would highly recommend this place and give them 5 stars, but the whole extra cost dampened the experience and didn't leave me with the best taste in my mouth. I can understand if someone has really long hair, but I felt like I was being nickle and dimed, which isn't the best to do when you're trying to expose new customers to your business. read more

You know that moment when you're finished with your haircut and you thought it was amazing until you get home and take a shower and see the imperfections? Well, with the way my hair was cut, it was the way I wanted it from after getting the haircut and after taking my shower. Their prices are on the higher end ($40 total including tip). Griselda has been doing my hair since 2005 since she helped do my hair for my wedding and I still love going to her. She does a great cut, color, highlights (although I haven't highlighted my hair for a few years now) and style. She's cut my hair many different ways over the years and I'm never afraid to try something new with her. Griselda always gives you great advice and recommendations when you just don't know what to do especially with color. She also does a great scalp massage when washing your hair and I always look forward to that. Now that she's in a salon with Gustavo the atmosphere at Bedolla is fun, laid back and chic. Now I don't have the easiest hair in the world - curls, cowlicks, frizzyness, you name it! I was looking for something affordable that was close to the church I was getting married at and it worked out perfectly! She wasn't communicative at all (I had to ask what shampoo she was using, and she gave me a one word answer). Then, she charged me an extra $10 for having long hair, which has never happened before (for the record, my hair, when wet and pulled straight, barely touches my armpit, so it's really not that long). I am afraid I didn't have a good experience. One side of my hair is shorter than the other and the cut is way shorter than I asked for. The color was so wrong I went back in to get it fixed. I asked for it to be below my shoulders and it doesn't even come down to my shoulders now. The worst cut I have ever had. Won't be going back. At least it will eventually grow out. The only person I let cut and color my hair in this world is Gustavo. I have been following him since 2009 and will not let anyone else touch my hair. I have been through many color changes and styles, all I do is show him a picture and he gets the exact color for me. I was looking for a place to fix my horrible haircut. After looking to a lot of places I found this place. I called and they were able to see me the same day! The lady who cut my hair did an AMAZING JOB cutting my hair! (Don't remember her name) Why only 4 stars then? Well, first because when she was washing my hair her nails were a little uncomfortable. (I believe she had fake long nails) Also, she was a little late for the appointment (yes, I was at the salon before her lol) and last because on their website it says the haircut is $40 but she charge me $50 + tip. This is so hard to do because I have been at Bedolla Salon a couple times and have had my hair done with Gustavo and Humberto and everything was fantastic. This last time I went like two weeks ago was so disappointing, I had made an appointment probably a month before wrote it down and made my schedule for that day. I understood 2pm but at 12pm I got a call from Gustavo letting me know I was late, I let him know I understood 2pm but I would get there asap. When I got there he seem upset and started telling me my hair was in really bad shape and couldn't do what I wanted him to do. That is totally understandable but what made me upset is how he was literally almost screaming at me and there was other clients at the salon and kept scalding me. I felt belittle and embarrassed. I didn't really say anything because I was in shock that he was speaking to me that way and he literally seem more interested on another client that Humberto was working with then what he was doing on my hair. After everything He ended up doing a root touch up and cutting me hair ( he never asked what I wanted for the haircut) and noticed he had cut the damaged hair that he was telling me why he couldn't do belayed on me again. Idk if he was having a hard day or something was going on but I did feel disappointment and put on the spot. I feel that no matter what is going on we have to be professional. Will not be returning. LOVE LOVE Griselda's work !! She's been doing my hair for over 10years now. she done my hair for weddings, proms , dye , highlights and cuts! She does it all. I trust her work completely. There are times when I sit in her chair and tell her to do what she thinks is best because I trust her so much, I don't hear to many people saying that about their hair stylist. Another thing I like about her is that she always styles my hair at the end. She very accommodating to her clients needs as well. First off let me say that everyone in the salon is so nice and inviting . I got my hair done Saturday , went from a ombré back to being fully blonde and now I have orange hair . At first I thought it was good bc Christina said in only some light it looks orange so I said ok blow dry more and we will see . She dry'd my hair completely and from the angle I was in it looked good ( I got really bad vision ) but then we went out side to look at my hair and it was definitely orange . I asked her what she could do and she said nothing bc my hair was damaged . I was kind of confused since she should have mentioned that before , only thing she mention was the blonde shades might not match . I don't believe my hair was damaged before going in to the salon but whatever no excuse why my hair is orange . I then realized that nothing here is gonna be done to fix me properly so I just paid and left. UPDATE: The Blonde hair goddess KIM from Z salon fixed my hair and gave me and treatment ( hair was beyond damaged ) Kim has been doing my hair for about a year now and I'm sorry I tried to be cheap and come here . I here the owner Gustavo is amazing but honestly Christina should be fired for double bleaching my hair ( according to Kim, that's a no no) anyway save your hair the damage and your wallet the extra cash and check out Kim . She also has a Instagram K.zsalon check out her amazing work . 2nd update : it's funny how Christina responds to this yelp review and tells me to let her know if she can do anything to make me feel better, but when I was at the salon she couldn't do nothing for me . Oh did I mention she even missed spots by my ears when she was double bleaching me? :/ Yea, you can give me free hair products to help my hair recover from the damage .
