I was walking around I was trying to find a legit place that had some fried catfish and a friend of mine who I encountered recommended this place to me telling me that the owner, was one of the nicest people he had ever met. I wanted to make sure that I would shake his hand after the dinner because, he was definitely the friendliest person ever, and his food was absolutely amazing. Ordered take out, but decided to eat in once I arrived and there were only 2 others dining in. The cheeseburger was delicious and the peach cobbler tasted homemade. Unfortunately, I noticed the cook (see through kitchen) had a mask, but it was pulled down, exposing his nose and mouth. Also, other folks were arriving as I left and social distancing was not enforced. None of the tables were marked off in the small dining room. For us younger folks that grew up in the 80's and 90's it's hard to imagine dining out before the era of copycat casual dining chains. Beefhouse is a throwback to what it was like for our parents or even grandparents. It's just a real old fashion diner, no trendy foods like sweet potato fries, or salted caramel coffee. Burgers, Patty Melts, Pancakes, Spaghetti, Enchiladas, etc They also run daily AYCE specials. also one of the few places left where you can smoke unapologetically, again a throwback to a bygone era. There are always plenty of old timers here, and if the juke box is on it will mostly likely be playing a sad old country song. Non-smokers beware... there is just one table for you and it's in the entrance! Sometimes the smoke can get kind of thick inside. Don't let the exterior fool you... for that matter don't let the interior fool you! This place looks really seedy in and out but the food is very good, especially for the price, and the service there is very friendly. Even though it's run down looking it appears to be clean. I've tried several menu items my favorites being the fried chicken dinner (it's a special at least one of the week nights) or the patty melt. The liver and onions is also very good there. Because of the very generously sized entrées they serve at the Beef House I've never tried the pie there but they offer 3 kinds. Another plus is this place is open 24 hours a day and I've not yet eaten breakfast here but I bet it's good if it's like the rest of the menu. Will be coming back. read more

Our first time here and everything was fantastic, from the friendliness of the wait staff to the huge portions and the food was great. We had three different items from the menu and all three were perfect. The price was very reasonable and less expensive than any of the chain dinner places and the food was much better than anything I have ever had at one of those places! I have been going to the Beefhouse for over 20+ years and it just keeps getting better and better. I am not a smoker and do not like the smell of smoke but the smoke is not as bad as everyone makes it. The food is great the prices are very fair cheaper than anywhere elese around. I have never had a problem with the staff they know me by my first name and are very friendly not just with me but from what I have see everyone else too.
