They have a tube rental truck where we rented our tubes for the lazy river over at Rock Springs. We stopped in for a few beers and a quick bite after tubing. Immediately the vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Chill, relaxed and easy going. Our bartender was a lovely chatty woman, serving with a smile and great recommendations for what we should do next. We ordered food & drinks and played some tunes on their touch tunes jukebox box. We amused ourselves with the customary message on a dollar bill tapped to the roof activity. The food came out crisp and hot. Fries were excellent! Wings juicy. Chicken tenders fried perfectly. They are a beer and wine establishment. No hard liquor. An elderly gentleman man, who we assumed was the owner, came over to say hello to us and was very pleasant also with recommendations for our next adventure. It was more dry and less fatty for an appetizer like this and as unexpected as it was, I actually liked it that way. I also mananged a chicken dumpling soup that was on special. Wow! I could have made a meal out of this one. Heavy, almost like a chowder. I split the main with someone else at the table. We turned the special blackened mahi mahi and the 16oz Boneless Prime Ribeye - Tender, rich & juicy with an extremely smooth texture. Removed from the bone for easy carving, this robust flavored steak eats like butter, into a surf and turf for the both of us. The sides were shared as well. Steamed Broccoli Florets, Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Sweet Potato Fries Drizzled with Honey, and Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. All of which were amazing. It was a lot of food. Took about half home and I believe it was actually great value for the price. For a place in a strip mall that looks like nothing much from the outside, I really enjoyed the complete experience here. Sometimes places that are a little further out of the way end up with higher ratings based on their surroundings. Here, I believe that is not the case and this is a fair rating across the board.

Kind of weird actually and felt uncomfortable with the interactions and lack of interactions. One server who was finished for the day brought us two Pepsi drinks and a water and said someone else would come to take our order. Paul a server from the front of the restaurant dining room where bingo was happening in two hours came over to get our dinner order. At that point we asked to just pay for our drinks and we would leave. The hostess came over and asked what was going on. Then Paul came back over we asked to take our three fried shrimp dinners to go. In under a minute the dinners and sides were packed and placed on top of our table. We paid and left. The food was served hot in the to go bags. The cocktail sauce lid fell off and was all over the tots and shrimp. Otherwise the food was delicious and good tasting. We were told the regulars were quite particular about their seats & arrived hours early to reserve them. Once we were sat with one menu (there were 3 of us) there was confusion on who was picking up our table. We were told a few different names would be there to serve us but we sat for a while before our drink order was taken or a server actually picked up our table. I guess we came in between shifts & I understand that happens but we were sat in a side room where it didn't seem like anyone was scheduled to cover at that time. When we finally placed our drink order, we decided we wanted to take our meals home. We all ordered the fried shrimp meal. Our server was kind & coaxed us to stay. We were just ready to leave at this point. He comped our sodas but we paid full price for our meals. A manger never stopped by to check in with us either. To our surprise, the food came out packed & ready to go quicker than our sodas! When we arrived at home we found out they had put our fried shrimp & tots straight outta the fryer into the takeout container which caused the plastic container for cocktail sauce to melt & go all over our fried food making it soggy. Here, it seems to be the case that you need to go to a brewery to find the best. For me, I did not have a pizza here, but if the garlic knots are any indication of the dough used here, well, trust me, I'd make the leap on that. They may not have looked like what I was imagining, but they tasted great! As for the beer, most of it is actually above average. Plus, it is not all from Three Odd Guys so you do have some good variety here. They are Untapdd friendly so you can always preview the menu before coming out, too. Service was brilliant and the place is a nice, wide-open space with great seating. The night I was there was trivia night. Romcoms from the late 80s into the 90s? Well, I recognized one name, and not that I was playing, but I would have only gotten bonus points for funny answers.

The constant check ins, the quality of the drinks and the occasional conversation. Doesn't matter who it is bartending that has been my after take each time we have been there as a group. The ambiance is what you would expect from any Grill & Bar concept. Love the juke box! They have a plethora of music to choose from.

Grrrr...I have a love-hate relationship with Alehouse. While I love to come here, especially with…read morefriends, I find all Alehouses to simply be inconsistent! Although my most recent visit was one of the better ones. I had just driven back from West Palm Beach and dropped off my rental car, my wife picked me up, and we were both hungry, but it was nearly 9 PM. I checked Google Maps and saw that the Alehosue was open until 11, so we decided to go there. We arrived, and it was fairly busy for a Wednesday night. We were seated in a booth and our server quickly came and we ordered drinks. Both of us ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers, we chatted with our server and she was awesome. The burgers came quickly, and they were perfect- medium rare and tasty. I love to come here and watch sports as well, I have just found that the food can be inconsistent, but I do absolutely love the Chicken Nachos! Hopefully, my future visits will be as good as this one!
