Beef's is probably the best choice for sports bar in Apopka. Obviously, all we have here is chains and I think Beef's is the best, for a few reasons. First, the food is marginally better than the Chili's and Applebee's of the world - typical fried pub grub, but definitely tastes less frozen than the competition. An expansive menu with food for every taste, and they even dare to offer a few pizzas. While a lot of sports bar have pizza, it is usually there to appease people who for some reason think a place that specializes in chicken wings and mozzarella sticks will somehow have good pizza. I haven't eaten it at Beef's but have heard from multiple people that it makes the cut, so kudos to them for that. The service is pretty good in my experience - it isn't a 'breastaurant' but they definitely work the pretty girl angle with the waitstaff. I haven't been in around a year or so but I'd assume this is still the case. Any way, this would be three stars because it is hard to rate an average sports bar more than that. That being said, the owner/manager/whatever deserves a thumbs up for the craft beer program - I'd assume it is up to a franchisee what beer to offer, and he/she wisely chose to capitalize on the growing craft beer trend and offer a pretty damn good beer list (and it is INCREDIBLE for Apopka). According to their website, they have a Ballast Point on tap. That sure is rare in Apopka, considering when you go to Chili's they look at you like you have four heads if you dare ask for a Sierra Nevada. Rant about craft beer over, but if I ever find myself going out to a sports bar in Apopka again it will be to Beef's based on that alone. read more

This was our second time to this Beefs. Staff is friendly, waitress was nice. We choose to sit outside to enjoy the Florida night air. Food was quickly delivered and enjoyable, 2 for 1 beers always good. We would have had a second round but seemed a little forgotten outside, waitress stopped by to check on meals but we were not ready to order more drinks at that time, waitress showed up when almost done. First suggestion come up with a way to 2 flag the staff when necessary. Second suggestion. Not everyone sits outside to smoke, This is the second time we had to cut our meal short due to smokers seated next to us. Note, almost every other table was available, why next to us? We will probably try a third time since we like the place, the outside seating and it's right here in Apopka. Just note! three strikes and your off our list! Ed thank you for your response. I would like to point out that the 4 tables you mentioned as nonsmoking are right next to the smoking area for the steak house next door. Does not matter which way the wind blows if the person next to you is smoking, the night we sat there the person was smoking a cigar, no escape. Great experience. We had the Blackened Fish Salad and Mediterranean salad and sat on the outside patio. The waitstaff was attentive and excellent, the food arrived quickly. I visited Beef O'Brady's in Apopka Tuesday night. The cheesesteak sandwich was EXCELLENT! I ordered fries with cheese and bacon as an appetizer for the group so I decided to get a side salad with blue cheese as my side item with the cheesesteak sandwich. There was a small fee for substituting for the salad but it was definitely worth it. The side salad was larger than expected and included cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. There could have been more items. The blue cheese salad dressing was nice and creamy with chunks of blue cheese. Someone else in the group ordered a medium rare cheeseburger and they said it was excellent. She chose the homemade chips (I forget the name they use) which looked so good I want to try them next time. I guess I'll have to pay for an additional side because I also want the salad! Very casual atmosphere but the food certainly didn't taste casual. Give them a try if you are craving a good hamburger or cheesesteak and are in the Apopka area. read more

This is a neighborhood restaurant that we've been coming to for many years. Tonight we used them for curbside pickup for the first time. It was a huge disappointment. We want to support our local businesses during this lockdown, but if they want our business back, they need to do a better job. They never came out with our order, we had to park and walk in ( definitely not what we wanted to do during this distancing situation). No apology was given when it was discussed. Rude worker. In my opinion, the food is not consistent in taste or portion. I ordered the Monday burger today. It tasted like a cheap patty for sure. The fries portion was barely enough to call a mere thought. The only thing great about today meal was the toppings on the burger. I also ordered in the past the fish platter, basket of sweet potato fries, surf and turf, and salads. Again ... there is NO consistency in flavor. Sometimes the rice is cooked right and sometimes it's mushy. In my opinion, it's a great hangout place for males if they are kool without the hooters cheeks walking around. I patronize them because they are part of the surrounding community. I truly would like for more sweet potato fries to come with the basket order, the rice to be on point every time, and a better burger and change the marinara sauce to a better tasting sauce. Stopped by on a Friday night and was not disappointed. There wasn't a hostess or sign to wait or be seated, so we were confused for a moment. No biggy, we just decided to sit down. I saw this happen as other people entered the restaurant so either they are short staffed or need some attention in this area. After sitting down I think the manager noticed us and brought us our menus. The server was over right away and was friendly. The food took a little but nothing out of the ordinary - it was a Friday night after all and the restaurant was pretty full. I ordered the OMG Burger. It was pricey for being a burger, but I don't think unreasonable given it's immense size (two huge patties plus bacon). Tasty too! I couldn't finish half of it, it was so big! I had my burger with the onion rings which weren't my fave (not crispy enough) My hubs had the buffalo chicken wrap and loved it. The only thing he'd wished is that he'd ordered extra buffalo wing sauce on the side. The fries were crisp and I think they cook them in peanut oil. Yum! All in all, it was a pleasant experience for your run of the mill sports bar. Friendly service, good food, good prices. A definite plus was the noise level. So many sports bars are obscenely loud. Given that the restaurant was full, the noise level was adequate. Oh! And also, I noticed the manager greeting a couple of people as if they were either regulars or friends. Beef's is our 2nd home. We, as a family, eat here at least 2x week and love everyone that works here. The food is consistent and addicting! When we are greeted by a new face, we show patience as the new employees learn from the the more seasoned employees. As for the prior "airheads" comment for Beef's....as the old saying goes "it takes one to know one," it may be your own negativity that clouds your vision and judgment. You obviously lack the hometown feeling that lies within Apopka, which includes patience and respect for those around us. Beef's has THE best wings! read more

I'm used to beef o Brady's in Oviedo, fantastic! But in this location I had a bad experience, there is no consistency in food quality from one beef to another! Service was good, and the food came out quick enough. I ordered grilled wings, they gave me fried(oil dripping) instead, when I complained to the manager she said: we fry them then we grill them! That beats the purpose of trying to avoid fried food! I eat wings out at least once a week, but never had worse than those! I also think that it's pricy for what it is. Update from last week: I can only make one conclusion that my last visit was just a fluke, because tonight's takeout order was great! The owner ensured everything was done the right way and everything was. The fried pickles, WOW, were lightly cooked and fresh with a nice little puffy breading. I was recommended the pub chips, like nice large freshly cooked potato chips old fashioned style, crunchy and fresh. The wings were extra hot with nuclear sauce on the side, (great recommendation), because this Spicy goes a long way. Overall I was beyond satisfied, I would love to come back again sometime soon! We came into BoB on Saturday evening before Memorial Day expecting a crowd. Fortunately for us but unfortunately for the cash register the place was almost empty with more severs than customers. Usually this doesn't end well as I believe a busy kitchen makes better food than a bored unchallenged kitchen. I couldn't have been more wrong. I had been craving a pub burger and BoB delivered. Unbelievably awesome. Also to my surprise was a very nice selection of craft beers on tap and many of them local. Cigar City, Tomoka and Funky Buddha all flow here. So I guess we'll be driving past the other places and making the extra few miles journey to come to Beefs. It's not a raucous and rowdy place and my wife and I prefer it over the other wing and beer joints in the area. My one gripe would be to lower the lighting just a bit and maybe some music at toe tapping volume, but not so loud you can't talk. It's just a bit too bright and quiet in there and always feels like last call. read more

This was my first time here and I was amazed at how organized things are. It's 2/07/2017 and I went around 5:30-6:00. It was me and my wife. We ordered fried pickles which was fresh and tasty. I got the honey barbecue wings basket with fries and coleslaw and my wife got the regular buffalo wings basket with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw is very good and so was the wings. But most of all everyone worked as a team and helped each one out to benefit the customer. Everything was fresh and on time. And the yengling on tap was very cold and refreshing. Beefs is usually good enough. Even better when you compare it to most older chain sports bars. My favorite is about 15 mins from this one but to be honest I'd rather come here. They were very good but well done (the server didn't ask for a preference so I'm not sure if that was an oversight since the menu states they cook to preference and to be fair I forgot to ask about it).
