Visually appealing, interesting and overall tasty options, especially for airport food. The tortilla soup was hearty, and came topped with a sliced half avocado and big dallop of crema to add richness. The fried shrimp app was also very well plated, but I didn't care for the dipping sauce or carrot salad accompaniment. Luckily, I was able to sub in tartar sauce and enjoyed the meal. Wautstaff was stretched too thin but tried their best, and I appreciated that.

I usually come here for a quick pre flight drink in the San Antonio airport. Relatively cheap prices, especially for an airport. Good beer selection. Usually plenty of seats. I've never eaten here, but I've seen the food and it looks pretty good as well.

After dealing with rude TSA staff a drink to unwind was very necessary. We stopped at beer code. My husband had a beer, I had a sweet tea, and we shared a Reuben sandwich. Service was great and so fast! The Reuben was so delicious! Perfect proportion of sauerkraut and meat. It was served with fries and a pickle. I would have liked more fries but it wasn't a big deal. Overall great service and food. Ambiance is very loud and busy (as expected) from all the travelers passing by!

The food was amazing. Had these chicken Caesar salad salad normally a chicken Caesar salad is pretty basic. This one was rich tasting very good piece of chicken very hearty piece of chicken fresh and you can taste that it was right off the grill very juicy and very filling will definitely get back here even though it's an airport food it was amazing and good and great price. By the way the staff was amazing and everything is great thank you.

Perfect lunch spot at SAT! Not only was the service quick, the food was excellent! The beer was cold and delicious as well. And to top it off...Monica (our server) was extremely observant and attentive and respectful of our situation. The service was amazing and the restaurant was clean. We enjoyed the meal and would return except they served coffee with some flavoring which we couldn't identify and is not what we prefer. Will Probably return if we take a later flight and don't "need" coffee. read more

Beer Code is a solid option at the San Antonio airport! Recently opened, Beer Code offers a small but mighty food menu with multiple beer and wine options. The esposo and I decided to give it a try and grab a bite before our flight. To start we went with the pretzel, which is Texas Size. It was definitely bigger than our heads, but super tasty. After that my husband got the Seared Salmon with spinach and arugula pesto, and I got the Cesar Salad with fried chicken. The seared salmon looked amazing, and my husband loved it. I totally forgot to take a picture, but I promise it didn't look like airport food. However, the chicken on my cesar salad was over cooked and frankly not amazing, so I would recommend to try the grilled chicken instead. Regardless of the chicken I am still giving them five stars because the service was amazing and the food came out very quick and fresh. Definitely give them a try during your next trip out of SAT! read more

Food and service was magnificent. I was seated right away and served promptly, even though it was very busy. One suggestion for management/ ownership... start using a cleaning product with a higher alcohol content, 90% if possible, for faster drying time. read more

Pretty decent place to hangout and eat before your flight. Their food is a tally really good and doesn't feel so fast food like. They have a bar with plenty of beer selections. Went here for early dinner. Service was 4/5. Sat quickly and order taken. Some tables and very close to others. Food came out very fast. Beer was cold. Main course was excellent. I had chicken and waffles. Prepared fresh. I do not recommend the Nachos or churro. Nachos is bag chips and gas station pump cheese. Churro tasted premade frozen, throw in fryer, add powdered sugar. Still good if that's what you're expecting, but after the high quality chicken and waffles I was not expecting this. Airport pricing. read more

Going to caveat that this is a 5 star airport restaurant- I tend to have lower expectations moving through the airport. That said this is my go to whenever I'm traveling out of the San Antonio airport. Usually pretty easy to grab a table and wrap up any work. I find there is a good mix of healthy ish options (the salmon is surprisingly good- great very thin crust on it) while also having some classic pub food and a good beer selection. The service can be a little slow sometimes so if you are in a a hurry before a flight just let them know- but I usually have a little extra time so I don't find this to be an issue. read more

Monica is the true definition of a waitress. A-1 service. I came for breakfast and it was past breakfast hours. Monica informed me that they were no longer serving breakfast. I asked for Hennessy, which they did not have. Monica, went and talked to the kitchen staff where they still made my breakfast order. These acts of kindness, goes a long way. read more

We were on the fence overall but then my husband tasted his beer- 5/5. And the food came out: pizza 5/5 (probably the best pizza I've had in SA) and smoked turkey sandwich (whoa! Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate. Bang Bang Bar has long been one of my favorite bars in town, and after this night, that reputation is more than earned. They were happy to answer my questions and I was never made to feel rushed. The bar itself has an awesome vibe. It's divey but offer fancy drinks. The bar has a stage (we've seen FEA perform there) and they have ample seating (tables, couches, stools, etc). I also enjoy how each couch area is its own living room setup (think of what you see when shopping for couches/coffee tables) and feel/vibe. I make it a point to come and visit this bar any time I'm in San Antonio. We love supporting Phanie and her bands in any way possible. Girl in a Coma and FEA 4ever!

I had the pleasure of eating at Beercode recently, and I can't say enough about the experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Our server, Monica, was absolutely fantastic! She greeted us with a big smile and was attentive throughout the entire meal. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. It's rare to find such outstanding service, and Monica truly went above and beyond to make our lunch special. The food was incredible, and thanks to Monica's excellent service, we had a memorable day. If you find yourself with a massive gap in your schedule--we had about a 4-hour window to kill--this is the spot. Being stuck in an airport or between plans can be a drag, but the atmosphere here made the time fly by.
