My husband and I decided to give this new buffet a try. There was a nice selection of food options. Drinks are also self serve. The ice machine wasn't working and didn't like the self serve Tupperware of ice option. Most items were delicious including the crab legs. Butter was not hot enough and getting cold. I found the shrimp to be over cooked and dry. The buffet stayed well stocked. The service was amazing never a collection of dirty dishes on the table. Employees are nice and helpful. They seem to prioritize quantity over quality. So many people on a very small place. For five people the cost was 140 and you would expect a bigger selection of food but there wasn't. After the long wait, it was a big dissappointment since we are both very picky when it came to taste.! This is our first visit. None of the foods we picked meet our expectation. The hot and sour soup lack the savoury, spicy and tanginess. The fried squid are salty, Shrimp fried rice is kind of sticky and lack the shrimp flavor. I believe there is still room for improvement. This Bejing Buffet in Ventura Don't have much of select in foids items such as soup on 2 soups of choices, the salad bar not much of salad and fruit choices, the dessert it looks all they have is cake, And the sushi not much of choices. Am sorry, but this may have been the worst buffet As far as the food goes. The staff was ok but the food was not worth the over priced for what was a terrible experience. Much of the food seemed to have been over cooked that made it seemed mooshi . The seasoning was bad and even the desserts seemed bad, i would not recommend this place , especially for the price . Go somewhere else , we drove away so disappointed and as soon as we got to our car agreed to never come back. It was, ok. I went on a Sunday. The oysters were not good, I don't know what they used in the fried dumplings, but those were disgusting. I will say, though the other things I tried as far as the Chinese food was good, but the mayo they use for the sushi is not good. First off there is barely any Chinese food in here. I did go for lunch maybe Dinner is different. The cold salad bar had way more options. The sushi had way too much mayo. Tasted off. The chow mein was made with spaghetti not chow mein noodles. The rice was luke warm which is very very dangerous. Almost half of the items I got were luke warm. I have worked in the food industry and this is very dangerous as well as against the law. In terms of Chinese dishes, they had chow mein, rice, fried rice, orange chicken, broccoli beef, Chinese appetizers. Then they had a cajun food area, pizza, and some other random dishes that were like old school 50s restaurant. The dessert bar was ok but the cream puffs tasted very coconutty and it wasn't marked at all. I guess the tale tail sign was zero Chinese folks eating here. Tasty Panda always seems to have Chinese folks eating in there. But it is quite authentic from what I have heard and well pay a little more and get the real deal not subpar. The only thing I felt was pretty good was the seasme ball (red bean). Sadly I think you need a stomach of steal to eat here. I'm hoping I didn't get food poisoning. Well, I wish I was coming on here to write something positive but sadly I'm not. This place was so over crowded and dirty. The food was not tasteful or flavorful. The bread was hard and not at all edible. The sushi was warm to the touch. I really don't recommend this place. The only positive thing I can say was the decor of the restaurant felt very modernized.
