I had an issue with my back door locks - after doing some googling, found out that it was a common issue with the actuators not working. Every time my car would hit the 10 mph speed, my doors would auto-lock, except for the 2 back ones - they would grind so loud. My CR-V is less than 6 years old - I don't think for the amount I paid, and it being a Honda brand, should the locks already be dysfunctional - especially with my 6-YO sitting in the back. I tried to reach the Honda Customer Service through Twitter, through FB, through my local dealership to no avail. I finally sent a letter to the corporate headquarters and within 5 days, I received a phone call. I was asked to bring in my CR-V to my local Honda dealership for them to do a diagnostic test on the car to make sure that it was indeed the actuators. They ended up fixing my locks for me and I paid only a small tiny chunk. Should they have paid for all of it? Probably, but the cost incurred to me, wasn't worth another argument and again, was a very reasonable small price. All I cared about was that my locks were fixed, that it would stop grinding and that my son was safe sitting in the back. Customer service there was great - my contact was Ryan and he was great from beginning to end. The waiting area has also expanded greatly since the last time I was there. And the free donuts, coffee and popcorn were an added bonus. read more

I have only come here for oil changes for the past two years, and for that they have been great. I usually end up getting a coupon in the mail or through email which offers an oil change for $19.95 or $27.95 so just depends on the coupon I get. For $20, you really can't get a better job anywhere else. The waiting room is spacious and clean with magazines and TV for past time. They have a small kids play area too. Free wifi, coffee, popcorn and donuts. They open early so you can get maintenance before heading to work/school. Also, they offer a complimentary car wash. Most of the staff is friendly, but you have to be smart about their maintenance suggestions. The wait bothers me a bit, even after always setting up an appointment I have never got out of here in less than an hour. read more

I had come here to get my oil changed when I first moved to the area 4 years ago, and couldn't remember why I've avoided it since. It is far closer to my work and home than any other Honda dealer. From what I could remember it just took a bit longer than the others. So I dropped it off during my lunch at work and had a coworker drive me back so waiting wouldn't be an issue. Then more and more reasons not to return came to the surface. I came in with a $20 oil change coupon, and from the moment I pulled up they were trying to squeeze whatever money they could out of me. I got the pleasure of an unprovoked tour of every ding, scratch, dent I had on my car. I am aware of these, and 7 years in I have come to terms with them. I was sent on my way and told I would get a call in a couple hours with a "hopeful" clean bill of health. It was at that moment I was cringing at what barrage of "needed repairs" I would receive. It was worse than imagined... 2 hours later I get the call, and there was quite the laundry list of repairs to the tune of roughly $1500. I told them that wasn't in my budget at this time, and they so kindly offered to finance the costliest repair. I again declined. As I was on my way to pick up my car, I had a bad feeling I would get in and coincidentally my car would fall to pieces once I pulled away. Once I turned the key and drove away safely I was pleasantly surprised. I was willing to give them a 2nd star for this courtesy, but what I saw near the checkout counter left a bad taste in my mouth as well. Standing in line there was a sweepstakes looking box labeled "we need help on Yelp", with a prize offered if your review was "pulled". Yet this was nowhere near a computer, just a stack of paper slips near the box. So my only assumption is they are creating accounts for each slip, and I can only imagine they are including ALL reviews, good and bad when they do this. This has to violate one or two of Yelp's terms and conditions, but I see the filter must have taken care of a handful of these (evidenced by 60-some reviews removed). So yes, I can agree you need "help on Yelp". But a better start would be to ditch the sleezy money fleecing tactics and create honest, trusting relationships with your customers. read more

09/25/2014 - Review update. Three months ago I was ready and willing to write off this dealership as a mistake. After today, I'm grateful beyond belief and it's been on my mind since leaving the dealership twenty minutes ago to update this review, again. Today, I scheduled my appointment like a good boy and spoke to the first service person who answered the phone, Anthony. We scheduled my appointment yesterday and I headed in today for my service. When doing the intake on the car, I asked about a aesthetic issue that was bothering me on the exterior of the car. Since the vehicle is literally only 600 miles out of factory warranty my sincere hope was that they would honor it. Anthony said he would do his best, and I waited it out without complaint. When finished with the oil change, I was told that they would honor the factory warranty and replace the parts without charge. I'm not a guy who wants anything for free, unless there are circumstances that warrant it. In this situation I was willing to pay a small amount, but wouldn't have been ecstatic about it. With the help of Anthony and his management I'm sold that this is the place for me. Still haven't actually bought a car here, but their chances just grew exponentially. Thank you guys.... 06/21/2014 I'm updating my rating because after some thought, discussions with others, and a reply from the company I feel that I may have been hasty in my opinion. Something like an oil change, in my opinion, shouldn't be classified or treated like a valve job though. Who likes walking into a car showroom with no plan? Not me. So when I was thinking about a new car last week, I sent a generic online request to Bell Honda stating the vehicle and price I was hoping to find. Within a few minutes, I received a call from Jason and set up an appointment for later that day. I met with Jason and took a test drive. I appreciate that he didn't go through the whole haggling process. I know the payment I was hoping for was nearly impossible, but with some creative accounting and terms, we were able to come to an agreement that was within my budget and I didn't have to give anything up on the car. Sidenote: earlier a different dealership said they couldn't agree to my terms, their only suggestion was a lesser model). Jason was friendly, efficient, knowledgable, and easy to work with. Being a single lady, visiting a car dealer isn't always the best experience and I like I was treated like a customer and not like prey, if you know what I mean. There was no bait and switch, no trickery, NO PRESSURE. When I met with Matt in finance to take care of the paperwork, it was the same. He was very efficient, funny, and helpful. Maybe it's because my credit report shows that I've purchased/leased around 15 or so vehicles in my adulthood, so they knew that I knew what I was doing......but I'd like to think they treat everyone this way. Waited, waited, and waited to have a vehicle come to me AFTER confirming an appointment AT the dealership the night prior with Todd. They wasted my time and after calling to ask what's happening, they responded with, "Oh, so are you looking to come into the dealership?" No! Why set up an at home test drive if they are just going to ask you come in? I was looking to make a deal and pay in cash, but Bell Honda is not going to get my money. I and my wife were on a car hunt during end of January 2015 and start of February 2015. We had nothing specific in mind and we were just looking for a nice car which we both can drive and a good deal. We roamed around to many car agencies, selling used and new cars. While crossing Bell Honda, I told my wife let's just check this place too. We went in and were greeted on the door by Camille Volcy. He was very polite, soft spoken and the respect reciprocated both ways. He showed us some cars and we test drove Civic Coupe. It was indeed a very good driving experience. It was smooth; my wife liked the space in the car (usually the problem with coupes). Still, I was not sure of purchasing the car then and there. I made it very clear to Camille. Later we sat down on Camille's desk, he was not trying to push the deal down our throats, he was polite and logical. He asked me to check online for the prices and tell me your price. He was not behaving like other desperate sales persons but he was moreover like a counselor/consultant. At the end of the whole conversation, he gave us a very good deal which we could not refuse. So, from the mindset not buying a car today to I bought the car. The transition was because of only one reason Camille. Overall, we had an awesome experience, even after purchase of the car. Whenever we needed some information or help, Camille was there promptly. He is an awesome sales person and gem of a person. We really liked his behavior. I would give 10 out of 10 for him. I bought my 2010 Honda Accord through American Automobile Association's Car Buyer's Program which selected another dealer to buy the car through. At about one year and 5 months we were informed that the rear brakes needed replacing, not the rotors but the brakes at a cost of $230.00. When I QUESTIONED THIS saying in my 40 years of owning a car the FRONT BRAKES went first, I was told that it depended on driving habits. On the next service call things went as normal or so I thought. At the cash register a person who I had never seen said that we really should get the tires rotated. I took note of this and went about my busy day. Then after getting home and reviewing the documents handed to me it said I had declined to get the tires rotated and highlighted the word CAUTION. This review I am writing just after leaving Bell Honda on 2/26. Normally, I'm not a big car dealership type of person, and I have always felt that I received better service through individual repair shops. I have turned a corner on that thinking however today. Our primary car (a 2012 Accord) had a battery issue this morning after getting it washed. We spoke with Josh Seyfert on the phone, and he was fantastic. Informative, and set us up for an immediate appointment to get the car in to replace the battery. We were pleased to know that the battery was under warranty, as we have had one of those weeks where it seemed every time we turned around, there was more money coming out of our savings. We brought the car in to the service department, we were met with friendly greetings, and pretty spacious and accommodating environment. Replete with popcorn, ice cream, coffee, water and complimentary newspapers. Two large TVs, and it was large enough that a room full of people didn't have to sit right next to each other, and could speak without being their conversation being the topic of the room. After being there only 35 minutes Josh came out and informed us that there were a few more things that needed to be attended to, and that Randall (the Service Director) had absolutely looked out for our best interests, and were able to complete our servicing without any out of pocket costs. It is a rarity to find superior customer service and compassion in an auto dealer/servicing business as large as this, but I am convinced. We will continue to buy and service our vehicles through Bell Honda. read more

I went to Bell Honda on Friday night to test drive the Civics and Fits to see which would be better suited for me. Upon pulling into the parking lot, I was immediately greeted by Ferik (I hope I spelled your name right). He was a very nice and personable sales rep. He wasted no time in figuring out the cars I wanted to see. Once we test drove a white 2013 Civic, I feel in love with it! He was able to get me a great price on it and I drove home with it that night. As a first time car buyer, I was a little anxious going through the process. The staff was upfront with me at every point, which eased my anxiety. I was very appreciative of this. Overall, the staff at Bell Honda is very professional. They don't waste time showing you vehicles you are not interested in. The pricing is reasonable, I walked away feeling like I was offered a good deal on my vehicle. I've bought 4 cars and 2 of them had defected windshields and batteries within 1 year of buying the car. When I bought my 2016 Honda Accord EXL car from #Bellhonda, they told me warranty was for 3 years. 1 year later, They tell me sorry, its for up to 36,000 miles and I'm at 36,570 miles. What happened to the 3 year warranty??? Internet sales manager doesn't listen to customer's wants and needs. Tries to hassle you if you bring in your own pre-approved loan. Consistently quotes higher prices than what you find on the bell honda website despite working with the internet sales manager. Incessant phone calls are near-harassing. Also, when my mother disclosed that accessibility is a priority due to her disabilities, the internet sales manager chuckled and said something to the effect of, "oh yeah, mental disabilities?"....real polite...and totally non-discriminatory...jerks!!! In addition, one of the finance guys (who we didn't even want to talk to since I walked in with pre-approval), Kelly, showed us 2 pieces of paper and when we asked to look at them ourselves without him waiving them in front of our faces, he grabbed one away and said, "well this one doesn't count. This one's hypothetical." Talk about a scam!!! I can see why bell honda gets so many horrible complaints...discriminatory manipulating liars! I will be going elsewhere with my new car purchase. Bell Honda is non-BBB accredited and has a B- (though they deserve an F), and Right Honda is BBB accredited with an A+....hmmm....might check that one out. I must say that this was by far the BEST car buying experience my husband and I have had. We had the luxury of being helped by multiple team members including the manager and each person took the time to listen to and truly get an understanding of our wants and needs. I must say that the icing on the cake for the entire process came from an amazing women named Feven. She took us from coming in to trade a car for a pre-owned car to buying a NEW 2021 that meets all aspects of what we were looking for in a family vehicle. She. made in make since in how we were going about spending our money and what would benefit us in the long run. We definitely didn't need to have the newest car but when you put the numbers together the way that she laid it out for us it was by far the better offer. She seriously knew her numbers and also was very educated about the vehicles and different models. We had our 1 and 4 year old with us and she was also very patient and considerate of tired little ones in the buying process. She didn't rush us or try and force us to close on a deal. It was literally like having a friend take you car shopping who only wanted you to get the best for your money. And again the rest of the team was absolutely awesome I had a gentlemen walk me vehicle to vehicle to see if I liked anything. The manager came and dropped tons of knowledge on me and my husband about buying a car that fits our needs. And it was definitely a learning experience not a "sales trap". I worked as a GM for a gym so I know what that sounds and looks like. Again everyone was really generous and helpful. And our finance guy was absolutely awesome, he helped us sign everything off. We were there late but he still treated us like it was the start of the day. I must say relocating to a new state and needing to buy a car and having a honest genuine sales team cater to your families needs for a new vehicle without feeling hustled or robbed is priceless. Had an appointment scheduled to look at two different trucks once arrived I was told they were locked in service and they were unavailable to be looked at. Left work early to come back the next day to take a look at them and one was in poor condition and the other truck had sold the day I went in to look at it. He answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. He also kept negotiating with us until we arrived at a deal we were comfortable with. Marcus in finance was great! He was very thorough and helpful and was very personable. Our 12 year old son was with us and Marcus made sure to engage him in the conversation. My family has bought 7 cars here over the years. Very friendly, and good deals, too! I am updating my review because of my families' recent buying experience with the staff at Bell Honda, again. I would rate them ANOTHER 5 stars. I take my membership in the Yelp community seriously, so I'm not willing to say anything that is false for any reason, either here or anywhere else. We got 3 more cars overall, great prices for the cars, and stellar financing options. Each car we got came with all the features requested, and everything works perfectly. The finance department's Chris Quintana and Ramses Marguay worked their Disneyland magic over the numbers, Scott Swytko put all the car deals together, Camille Volcy was our sales person, everyone was fantastic to put everything together on Saturday night. But wait, there's more. I decide at 10 pm Saturday night that I want a different Odyssey than the one I just got. I call in at 9 am Sunday morning, and at 1 pm the new van is in front of my house. Camille worked on his day off to make sure I would have what I needed for Monday. That is great service. All my families' hondas have been serviced here, never a problem. I see a lot of negative complaints, but i have never had any of those experiences here, and I and my family have bought many cars here, and we will again. please read the reviews, and then call them and allow your own experience to be your guide. read more

Based on a recommendation I contacted Joey Branum in the parts department to order some parts for my Mitsubishi (yes they can get parts for all cars). After placing my order I mentioned that I was also looking to buy some aftermarket suspension components. Although they did not sell them there (obviously) he gave me the contact information for a local place that did. Great customer service! I will also note that the service department bays at Bell Honda are very clean. Too often a service department looks more like a dark grease pit than a laboratory. I prefer them to look like the latter when working on my expensive engines. read more

The whole process has been so smooth and easy- being a girl who knows nothing about cars I feel super comfortable here. However, this establishment's automotive service has finally infuriated me enough to compel me to finally write my first-ever 1-star review after all these years with yelp. I've had it with being given a laundry list of extremely expensive repairs that are supposedly needed for my car, every time I come for simple scheduled maintenance, even for those that involve basically an oil change. I really should have paid attention to the other yelp reviews, as well as to the BBB rating for this establishment. I've finally decided to take my car elsewhere for service, and fortunately I've found a good one that does repairs only when necessary and lets me keep my arm and leg. read more

You're probably not going to like this place if you hate being upsold or talked down to. I've given this place two visits now and each time have left feeling robbed. I called this most recent time for a standard oil change (usually $50 with an inspection, of which I have received three times before), instead am told it's $80 (luckily I told them I don't want my tires balanced which saved me $15). When I called to make an appointment, I specifically requested an oil change, no more, no less. But upon arriving, I was put in the awkward situation of having to say no and was basically guilt-ed into more than I asked for. Their technicians are sexist and assume the worst. Just because I'm a woman does not mean that I don't know what a timing belt is, and yet when asked if I know what it is (I replied yes since I've replaced my own but no longer have the time or space to do so), the technician still talked down on me in his explanation ("it's like a giant rubber band"). This is not the first time something like this has happened as my previous technician talked down on me in a similar way. The only upside to this place is the 3 mile drive to work, however they take so long that the convenience is wiped out since I never can drop my car off before my entire lunch is used up. OHHH and they forgot to pick me up for over half an hour, I just stood on the dang corner waiting for them and then finally received a call half an hour later asking if I was still in need of a ride! If I need to take an Uber that's fine but don't make me waste even more time waiting for you. The young man who picked me up (Que ?) was the only thing pleasant in this place, he needs to become the boss. Sexist, money hungry, skeezy. Spend your money and time elsewhere. read more

I bought a civic from these guys last year. It was a terrible experience. I agreed to a price that was advertised on the Internet with no money down. The sales manager still wanted money down when I got their. I gave him the a check for $500.00. Once I went to finalize the deal the finance guy wanted to sell me even more stuff. I told him that I only needed gap coverage. He was so pushy and rude I couldn't believe it. By the time I was finished I was so upset I couldn't enjoy my new car for weeks. I drove over to Bell Honda to check out the new Honda Insight because I was already in the area. The salesmen were a little pushy, but that's understandable considering the economic climate. What was not understandable was the extra charge Bell Honda placed on the Insights based on the fact that they are "new, popular models". It was $3,000 over the $20,000 retail price of the car... for a total of $23,000. ... UMMM, WHAT?! That's a 15% price increase for no good reason! Should Apple charge $100 over their retail price every time they release a new iPhone because it's new and popular? Should a restaurant charge extra for a dish because it was just added to the menu? Should Disneyland double the price of admission whenever they add a new attraction? I know Bell Honda isn't alone in this practice, but I've dealt with dealers that don't add an extra charge to popular cars. Toyota Carlsbad in California did not tack on an extra charge when Priuses were popular. Bottom line: don't deal with scummy dealerships that overcharge for their cars! read more

I purchased a used 2011 car here last September. It happened to be at a tent event at the Peoria Sports Complex. No complaints about the sales lady, she was friendly and low pressure. The price was good. My complaints are about various other aspects. The car itself had large stains on the back seat and front seat. Don't they detail used cars before putting them on the lot? They told us we could come back another day and they would clean it, so a few weeks later we drove out from east Mesa, but a machine to clean it wasn't working and even if it had been working it would've needed to be left over night. Also, during the sale, we inquired about getting the free car washes they offer with the purchase at one of their other many related Honda dealers across the valley closer to us, and they implied this shouldn't be a problem but when we asked again a couple weeks later they said we couldn't. I was looking forward to those washes, however driving an hour for them isn't feasible. The largest problem however, was something that happened when I was getting the car detailed (because of the interior stain that they had not removed). While the owner of the detailing shop himself was hand washing the car a sizable chunk of paint came off above the wheel well. The detailer said that there had been a beautiful paint match done, but that whoever had done it had not applied any primer and thus my paint continues to chip off at every car wash I go through. This leaves me to wonder if Bell Honda did this paint repair to throw it on the lot acceptable? I am not even sure if I can use the Zak-Tec paint protection they made me buy because of this paint issue that will cost me a decent amount of money to fix properly now. read more

I have purchased two cars at Bell Honda, and I have taken both cars there for service. Until now, I was reasonably satisfied, although s they always find some way to make the bill slightly larger. Now, I take my car in for a coupon they sent me for an oil change. OK, I say I will take my car in. I get a call from a different service advisor than the last time, and he is trying to get me to spend $1,500 on belts, tuneup, changing all the fluids because they were dirty or so they said. The guy saids will you have 76,380 miles on your car...I said I do not..do you have the right car?He said he checked and yes it was my car..I had to readjust the mileage because they had it set on trip meter. My actual mileage is 47,746. This was all based on old mileage from the first car I bought there. The service advisor said he looked..what a lie....what if I had actually bought the $1,500 based on incorrect mileage in the system. My question is do they even look at he cars before they try to sell you things you do not even need? I will never go there again, and I had to physically drive down there and show the service manager. He just made excuses for them, saying well, maybe they were thinking about your 60,000 mile checkup. What a sham....they had not remorse about the pain they had caused me by trying to have faith and do business with them.. Never never again will I buy a car or have anything serviced at Bell Honda. I actually could not believe they were not willing to admit their mistake, and the treated me so poorly...Do not go there ever. read more

I bought my car in September of 2014, the problems started there. I was treated respectfully at first which I know realize was a charade. After test driving I decided to buy my 2006 Honda Civic si, I will say I do love the car but it was not worth all of the problems I have had since then. I ended up paying double what the car is worth (they knew I was a first time buyer). Even though I payed for half of the car up front they still took the time to royally fuck me. With that being said, that was ultimately my fault for allowing them to do so... But here is where it gets nauseatingly aggravating. About two months in to owning the car my fourth gear synchromesh went out causing that gear to be rendered useless. At first I did what anybody would, I freaked out. But I thought this dealership that prides them self in customer service would definitely help me out, boy was I wrong. I took the car to the dealership and after talking to them they told me the best they could do was give me the "discounted, at cost price" of $1900. I initially thought the price must have been a good deal but after comparing prices I learned that I had once again been deceived. Not only that but after talking to multiple knowledgable sources, I learned that the dealership probably knew about the problem when they sold it. So I ignored the issue because I could not afford to fix it at the time. Fast forward to last month and the calls from the dealership are non-stop, every day I was receiving at least one sometimes more. Why were they calling you ask? Not to fix the issue with my existing car that I had just recently paid off but to put me in a new car. They swore up and down that they would give me the best deal possible, and ensure my satisfaction, but I declined. I refused to buy another car from them and made that known. The calls stopped... For about a week. On one of the last calls I received, I once again explained my situation to a woman in the sales department. She told me that the dealership was under new management now and that after hearing my story she would ensure that I was properly helped. After the call ended so she could "talk to her manager" I never received a call from her again, nor could I reach her when I called. Now fast forward to today and I receive yet another phone call from a random sales consultant named Luke. At this point when I received his call I was done with this dealership altogether, but I tried to remain polite and listen to him. He gave me the same shit about how he could put me in a new car today and they'd take my car off my hands, as if they were doing me a favor. I proceeded to give him an angry (but polite) rant about the shit-storm I had been through. He acted as if he cared... For a minute. But once he realized I wasn't going to buy a car he didn't politely end the conversation, no he hung up on me. A representative for a dealership that "prided themselves in customer service" hung up on me. I know that I'm a complete stranger but if I could give you any advice, it would be save yourself the trouble.... DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS SCAM OF A DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Too bad Yelp doesn't have an option for zero stars. I came here to buy a Honda Civic back in October 2016. Long story short: I left degraded, with no car, and continued to be harassed for weeks after my initial visit. When I arrived, I was shown around by a middle aged man who clearly did not want to be there (or maybe he did not want to deal with me). Hey, I get it, I looked like a teenager (blame that youthful face) who came with her parents and asked to see the 2017 Honda Civic models. He thought he wasn't making a sale today...which is why he continued to disrespect my parents and me while we sat down to discuss car estimates. I was SO eager to get my new car that I looked past his rudeness and continued with the process. But my dad kept pointing out that he did not like the way this salesman was "working me". His eyes lit up when I mentioned that I have 10k I can put down on the car right now, and he called his manager in right away. From then on, the entire thing seemed rushed. I hardly had time to really check out the car and none of my questions were answered. Here comes the real doozy: When my credit score was run by the sales manager, he came back with the report. Instead of showing me my score (which I already knew because I check credit karma ALL THE TIME), he STRAIGHT UP LIED TO MY FACE and told me my score was in the low 600's. When it is actually and still to this day in the 750-770 range. So this excuse for a manager proceeded to let me know that with the car I want and my credit score, the best they could do was 13% APR. When I called him out, he finally showed me the paper and admitted he must have "misread my credit score". I'm sure. I no longer wanted their car nor do to have any further business with them. I left immediately with my family and the manager along with the sales associate called me 5-7 times a day for three weeks, decreased the APR over voicemail with each passing week. I tried to block their numbers but they seemed to find new ways to reach me. Too bad I had already bought a Toyota Camry 2017 at Avondale Toyota the very next day for 0% APR. No BS, just a good and honest sale. You couldn't make me ever go back to Bell Honda. I don't respect liars and cheats. read more
