A friend and I were going to meet in Saratoga for brunch, and found this place through Yelp. So glad we did! Although they do not have their own parking lot, I was able to find street parking nearby. The place is really cute and cozy, with lots of history marked on the walls. The outdoor area is super great too! Service was great, and our food came out fast. We both got omelets, and I made my own with spinach, onions, chorizo, and jack cheese. The chorizo was a mistake. It seemed way undercooked, and I took it all out. You get one slice of toast, and it's not overly buttered like other joints. They don't have hash browns, but their home potatoes were cooked perfectly and really tasty! I'm not normally a fan, but these were good! The strawberry lemonade was also really refreshing, a tad on the sweet side, but that didn't stop me from getting a free refill! Disappointed is an understatement... With all the good reviews we were excited to try this place. First off our waiter was rude and clearly didn't like our son (3). We ordered hamburgers which I think was our mistake. The burger was so basic and not very good and the fries that came with it were inedible. We ordered some curly fries which were better but they were $2 more and nothing special. Both of the fries seemed as if they were frozen and then not cooked well. I ordered an iced tea, which was watered down and tasted like bitter lemon water. When I asked for something else because the iced tea wasn't so great they brought me "lemonade" that also tasted like lemon water but at least wasn't bitter... and they charged $4 for it! Overall the food was gross the service was not good...the whole thing was over priced and we wish we would have saved our money and just went to a drive-through...it would have been a better experience. I guess breakfast is what people like and what we should have ordered even though with how horrible lunch was I can't imagine how much better it could be... read more

The food here never fails to be superb. My brother and I come here before we go to class at West Valley. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious, and their house potatoes are crisp and perfectly seasoned. I also highly recommend the House Salmon Lox. The portion is enormous. You get way more than you pay for. Everything was perfectly delicious. I have no complaints when I come here. Even the music overhead is awesome. Coffee refills appear just as I'm about to run low. The quality is stunning. The only reason I almost didn't review is that I want this place to myself. A real gem! read more

I've gone here a few times since Covid-19. The outdoor seating is comfortable and they now have heaters since the weather has cooled. Tables are reasonably spaced and servers always had masks on appropriately. We got the short stack and French toast. Both good. This small place has many different breakfast options for you, but I wanted to highlight one that I tried that was super delicious! I'm not a big Chicken & Waffles fan, mostly because a lot of the places I go to that offer this end up frying the chicken so much that leaves it very dry. At the Bell Tower Cafe, I have never had that problem; the chicken is perfectly crisp and tender every time! Nothing I have tried here has disappointed me thus far. Bell Tower Cafe is my favorite spot for brunch. I feel like a confused apex predator staring at a pack of gazelle when I try to choose a menu item: everything is so delicious! I highly recommend every panini (Note: the chicken parm panini is a revelation), the croque monseiur, the quiche lorraine, the chicken and waffles, the red velvet pancakes, the burgers (wow), and the well done breakfast burrito is my personal favorite to get over hangovers. You can wash everything down with unlimited mimosas, or a delicious bloody mary! I am a regular here, and always get great service. The owner, Danny, is always around and greets most guests individually with a warm welcome. They've recently implimented the five star rewards program, so now I get free menu items pretty often based on my rewards points, which is really cool. I often bring my family down for breakfast, and my grandma is very difficult to please. She loves Bell Tower. We just can't get enough. Arrival: Sunday afternoon, around 1pm. It was very prompt to be attended to when we arrived (party of 2). Kindly led us to the outdoor patio as the indoor seating was packed. Service/Ordering: Our waitress seemed in a hurry, impatient and somewhat judgemental in vibe. She seemed like she was unhappy to be working there, hardly a smile or friendly tone in her voice. Didn't want to really have much of a more descriptive response to my questions about the available drinks. Wait: We ordered an appetizer and orange juices, plus water. It took about 7-10 minutes to get this. Then, another 5-7 minutes pass before a waiter came by (different person) to get our order. 20-30 minutes pass and we FINALLY get our food, appetizer with the entrees which was not what was expected. Appetizers are generally served 10-15 minutes before the actual meal. Couldn't get a refill on our water for another 10-12 minutes after the entrees were served. Another 5-7 minutes passed before we got our check, so we decided to get up out of our seats before we would wait another 10 minutes just to pay. Total minutes from arrival to start eating = 32 mins. Total minutes from finished to payment = 17 minutes Food: Delicious, after we finally got it and we were already incredibly hungry and upset. Good portions, fresh ingredients. I especially enjoyed the fresh-squeezed orange juice. Venue: Outdoor patio is terribly cold, distribution of heater umbrellas was not optimal (areas too hot vs too cold). Indoor seating was stuffy. Overall I would not come back here unless absolutely necessary; we were in the area on our way to a hiking spot and the parking was unclear (we took the risk of parking at the cleaners next door even though they were clearly marked as being for that business only). Most, if not all, of the people that work here either seem to be in a rush and not interested in you as a customer or try to be fake in their friendliness (in general, people that work there seem to not want to be there at all). read more

Cute brunch place just off of Saratoga downtown. Went as a party of 4 on Sunday 11am, wait was 30mins. Although don't think they were very good at keeping track of the check-in sheet, a party of 8 came 4 spots later, but got seated first. The food was very good, hence the 4 stars. I probable would knock down half a star, cause they forgot the garlic fries, extra avocado, and coffee refill we ordered. But the servers were nice and polite. This place is a decent place in Saratoga to get breakfast, but I do think there are better places to eat. I came here for brunch with a friend and while the portion sizes are generous, I don't think the flavors can really match up to it. We also waited quite a long time before our order was taken and service in general was relatively mediocre. I got the red velvet pancakes which is a creation I don't think I've seen before so I thought it would be good, but I was pretty disappointed. It was just an overpowering amount of sugar that was in your mouth and the pancake itself wasn't fluffy or light at all. It was pretty thick and relatively soggy when I got it, so I wasn't able to finish it. Overall it wasn't necessarily a bad place to eat at, but I think there are better places that you can choose for a Sunday brunch. Perhaps they're better for lunch food? read more

This place is so cute. I can't believe I didn't know about it even after living in the area for so long! Both the service and food were really good. I also liked that the place wasn't packed (especially for a Saturday morning) so that my friend and I could have a quiet conversation while enjoying our meal. While there were a lot of items on the menu that looked delicious, I knew I had to try the red velvet pancakes after seeing the pictures posted by other yelpers . The dish is (obviously) sweet, but really good. The order comes with 3 large pancakes, so I ended up having leftovers to take home- score- more for later :-)! One of the highlights of the organic foods they serve is the freshly juiced apple juice, the little one loved it and the rest of the family did as well. What a delightful surprise! My wife & I have visited Saratoga when various events take over Big Basin Way. We often walked past the Bell Tower Cafe but had never dined there. It was a Groupon offer that finally got us in, and we're glad that it did! I had one of their weekly specials, the chocolate chip pancakes with banana & Nutella. My wife had the Crepe Florentine. Our server, Jerry, was wonderful! He had a warm, genuine smile. But more importantly, even with my wife's substitution of avocado for spinach, our dishes came out perfectly. What you get is a strange square crepe with spinach, mushrooms and no Mornay. You get a slice of inedible indiscernible cheese product on top. Not melted or shredded. This is not Crepe Florentine. Service: randomly congenial, more often openly irritated waiter. Yeah, we get that you're not pleased to see us. Too bad we come in regularly. Someone (the owner) is not paying attention. Food is mediocre. Service is well...inconvenienced by customers. Cleanliness needs improvement. I've been here probably seven to ten times this past year (local likes the convenience) and it's consistently disappointing. I'm glad I'm not paying. I've been to the Bell Tower twice now. The first time I went, I purchased clam chowder and minestrone soup to go. I was immediately blown away that I had not discovered this hidden gem any sooner! I absolutely loved the food, ambiance, and incredible staff. Two months later, I was finally able to round up my friends and celebrate one of their birthdays at the Bell Tower Cafe. They were also blown away by the unique/stylish decor and food. Our favorite thing was the friendly and kind hearted nature of the staff. I wish more restaurants would take note about how to treat their customers. They were extremely attentive to our tables needs in regards to; filling our waters, taking away dishes, and refilling our bottomless mimosas (which I highly recommend!!). They also never made us feel pressured to leave, despite being there for over 2.5 hours. They also made my friends birthday extra special by giving her a piece of red velvet cake with a candle on top! It was so delicious. Lastly the owner, Danny, was extremely nice and ensured that our experience was everything it should have been and more. We will definitely be returning to the Bell Tower Cafe! Delicious fresh food! Breakfast potatoes made in house and pancakes so light and fluffy. Waffle was good too and chicken tenders were fried to perfection. Service was prompt and definitely sold the experience for us. Will definitely come back. The bakery had lots of good offerings but we were here for a hot plate so we dined in. Despite working on a holiday the staff was very friendly, full of smiles and the food was flavorful. The lemonades are also fresh.
