    Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs
    Aliza J.

I tried the fried chicken steak. The texture was interesting -- it was crispy, but for me it tasted a bit too much like flour. It was also on the salty side for my preference. The rest of the dish was okay, and the portion was decent. Service was good, which I appreciated. Overall, it wasn't my favorite because of the seasoning, but the experience was still pleasant.

Came here on a Saturday morning after Pilates with 2 friends. We were sat immediately and were able to pick a table. The place feels like an old diner kinda experience but still cute for brunch. We got waters to start and the waiters were quick to take our orders. I ordered a carnitas Benedict and we got a red velvet pancake to share for the table. Our food came out one at a time so it took a little bit of time. My friend ordered a breakfast burrito without cheese and when she got it and it had cheese in it so the had to remake it. Either way the food was SO good. I ate my whole meal and a lot of the pancake that was meant to be shared the waiters were pretty friendly and it ended up being a nice pretty budget friendly restaurant. Will be back!

Cute location in Downtown Saratoga walking distance from any street parking. We sat outside and had a view of the street. The food was well portioned for the price. All three of us cleared our plates because it was so scrumptious. The prices were a little higher than I expected for a breakfast place but it was good. It averaged to $30 a person with everyone getting coffee. The bread was the perfect amount of crispy and the salad was fresh. I'd eat here again. Good service: got checked on about 3 times. Very nice time. Their cups are mason jars which was nice and rustic.

Really great option for a local brunch! Went there on Sunday around noon, and we got seated immediately. Outdoor sitting area is very pleasant. We ordered two omelettes and a sandwich, and the food was delicious. The meals were sizable- portions were good for the price. Great location- right in downtown Saratoga! We loved eating here and then walking around downtown.

Great food, great service! Food was delicious. Service even better. At least four people helped serve us. They worked well together and never left us wanting. Outdoors area was nice and comfortable. A great place for breakfast!

Bell Tower is an adorable cafe with extensive outdoor seating, an open kitchen inside, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. I got the strawberry crepes and my friend got the deep-fried breakfast burrito. The crepe itself had an excellent texture but was a tad bland. However the presentation with the orchid flower was a feast for my eyes. Overall, I highly recommend it for breakfast/brunch in Saratoga.

We had a lovely breakfast here at Bell Tower Care. We ordered eggs Benedict, strawberries crepe, and cappuccino. Everything was delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. It is a huge cafe!l with outdoor seatings. They have wisteria trellis on the side by the fence which I think would be lovely when it's blooming. We didn't get to see it since we are early in the season. Late May or June would be a great time for an outdoor brunch here.

We came here a couple times and lately the service has been getting a bit slow. It took a while for a server to get our order and waiting a much longer time to receive our food as well. Our server barely made eye contact with us whenever we spoke to him too. The food however is still pretty good! Just wished that the service was as good as it was the first time time we went.

Cute cafe with outdoor/ patio seating. We came during Saturday noon time and the place was bustling. Staff were a bit disorganized with seating and we had to wait quite a while. It was a warm day and the heater may have been on in the outdoor seating area making the place feel like a sauna. Chicken and waffle - average chicken and waffle, slightly expensive considering the quality of the dish

Came here after I picked up my sister from School. Place was pretty empty since it was a Thursday afternoon. We were greeted and they told us to choose our sit. Which was nice to choose your own seat since it was empty. Got the menus and couldn't decide what to get. what we order and rating: -Cappuccino 4/5 -Fresh OJ 3/5 -Build my own Omelet 4/5 -Carnitas Bendict 4/5 Overall, service was fast and food was good. The only con would be that they dont have their own parking.

By far, the BEST breakfast I've had! The service is also so amazing! Peaceful ambience, very clean and excellent service! Not sure why this place isn't rated a 5. Everything was absolutely perfect! The restaurant was very clean as well as the restrooms. The food came out so quick and was delicious! Perfect breakfast spot!

From the moment we checked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and making a reservation about a month in advance definitely paid off since the restaurant was packed. For starters, we ordered the fried chicken & cornbread and the summer peach salad. The chicken and cornbread were easily a 10/10 super crispy, well seasoned, and the cornbread was rich and buttery. The peach salad with friend goat cheese (YUM!) was really fresh and bright, a nice lighter dish to balance out everything else. I also had a glass of rose. For mains, we had the Prime Ribeye and the 7oz Harris Ranch Prime Filet, both cooked exactly how we asked and full of flavor. We shared a bottle of Duckhorn cab, and I appreciated that their wine list felt reasonably priced for the quality. We corked what we didn't finished and took it home. The only slight downside was our table being in a bit of a funky spot along a walkway, but service was attentive enough that it never really became a problem. Overall, I'd absolutely come back, and next time I'm saving room for dessert.

I don't want to write about both restaurants on the Flowers page but I think it's worth calling out that the service / hospitality and craftsmanship for both food and drink in both restaurants are standout. For drinks, we ordered the Flowers Old Fashioned and Cantarito. For the Cantarito, I loved the tart passion fruit with the slight carbonation of the grapefruit soda--this was definitely my kind of drink! For food, we shared everything: tuna wonton tacos, prawn cigars, duck with risotto, scallops, and brussel sprouts. This was the perfect amount of food, as we left full and satisfied but not stuffed. The tuna wonton tacos had a good amount of tuna, and had a such a punch of (well-balanced) flavors; I loved the touch of heat. The duck was also incredibly tender with a crispy outside, and I think the natural fattiness / oiliness of the duck paired well with the relatively sharp, Parmesan flavor of the risotto. I also enjoyed the flavors and sauces with the other dishes but those two aforementioned were my favorite. Lastly, the bread pudding for dessert was excellent! It was the perfect size to share, and I loved the various crunchy "garnishes", from the graham cracker crumbs to the caramelized sugar piece and the little chocolate balls. Will definitely come back again to try more of the menu!

We started with the beef carpaccio and it was tender and delicious. We also had the shrimp cigars and two old fashioned. For main course I had the miso cod and it was tender and very flavorful- the miso saturated the entire fish. Going forward I would have ordered a vegetable to pair with it. My husband ordered the duck and that was a bit disappointing. They hadn't rendered the fat properly so the skin was chewy rather than crisp. The duck was slightly on the tough side. On a very positive note, the wines are market price rather than the large markup you see in most restaurants. The chocolate cake was overly dense. Since it was a birthday celebration they also brought out little chocolate cream filled cups that were delicious. We will definitely return.

If you're hoping to sit inside, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The service was wonderful from start to finish. My friend and I both ordered the smash burger and I've got to say it was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, DO NOT skip the bread pudding. It was a 1000/10! Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and the texture was incredible. If you're on the fence about dessert, just order it, you won't regret it. The only minor downside was that the sodas were very flat and tasted a bit syrupy. Other than that, everything was fantastic. Also, the manager came around to check up on us, to make sure we didn't have last calls right before the kitchen closed. That was considerate. We decided on ordering the... Grilled Pork Chop: bourbon marinated grilled peach compote, peach, red onion & tomato salad (4/5). The presentation was gorgeous. A Sous vide pork chop with grill marks cooked to a medium temperature. Savory and complemented with the tangy, spicy, and tart salad. A tad heavy handed on the salt for the sauce, otherwise, it was still delicious. Gnocchi Ragu: lamb bolognese, pecorino (4/5). The meat sauce was delicious. The gnocchi itself was sizeable and decent. Fries (4/5) - medium shoe string cut fries that were hot, crispy, and lightly seasoned. So fresh and right out of the deep fryer. Parkside Bread Pudding: vanilla gelato, pecan praline (4/5). This was delicious. Therese was told by the kitchen staff that they unfortunately ran out of the pecan praline when she brought it out. Though, it was still decadent and divine. Therese even brought us a complimentary beignets for a birthday celebration. We will be back! Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like. TLDR: Top 5 pork chops…read more So, my wife loves pork chops. For her birthday, I decided to find a place with good chops. It was a bit tougher than expected. I wanted a restaurant that serves nice THICK pork chops, grilled to perfection. Seems like a lot of them are located around Los Gatos... So here we are, for her special day! The best porkchop she's had in California was in Half Moon Bay. Unfortunately, I think the restaurant has closed... It was called Cetrella. But Asa might have the second best pork chop she's ever had. And so, since Cetrella has closed, this has become the new de-facto best porkchop! For that reason, this place gets 5 stars. I had a bit of it. It was cooked so well, white flesh all around, no pink at all. I think it was grilled and not sous-vide because she's had it done SV style and it still wass pink in the middle, even though it was all "thoroughly cooked". But despite the well-done, it was still juicy and soft! Pork is SOOO Easy to get dry. And especially since this is a thick chop. It was great! And no sauce... just an herb rub. I ordered the steak... it was cooked well. I've had better, and I generally prefer rib-eye over New York. But it wasn't bad at all. Just a little chewier than I would have liked. Plus $50 for a 12 oz, seemed a bit steep. I'd rather have ordered the pork chop. We also ordered the Chili Fries, which were a little too salty. But the taste was really good, and the fries were crunchy. If you dip them in the aioli, it's not as salty. For special occasions, my wife likes to treat herself to a cocktail. She really liked the Peach Punch with the Clarified Milk. It had a heavy dose of rum, and not too sweet. Plus it looked very pretty! We had 3 desserts! The basque cheesecake was ok... it looked deflated on one side, so it didn't look that appetizing. The taste was ok, it's not my favorite type of cheesecake... too airy for my taste. Almost like a souffle. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies though! Freshly baked, huge and gooey. It was definitely worth the $15 for the 4 cookies. Worthy of some of the best bakeries I've been to! Finally, for her birthday celebration, the restaurant gave my wife a complimentary cocktail ice cream. It's kinda funny, she could really taste the alcohol, whereas all I could taste was the banana. But we both agreed it was a great ice cream. She hates ice cream and she still finished almost a third of it! The ambiance is a bit loud. Not a romantic atmosphere, but it's not a club atmosphere either. The service was great... the waiter and busboys were super attentive to us, even though the place was pretty packed. The host was also super friendly. Highly recommend this place! The one bad thing about this is, since it's attached to the Best Western, it's hard to find parking. Most places say it's for hotel parking only, so you'd have to generally park on the street, unless you get really lucky and find a non-hotel parking spot in the lot.

To eat three of us shared some apps, mains, and desserts. We started with the Mixed greens and heirloom beets salad and Delicata squash, then got the Mushroom pasta and Argentinian steak, and finished with the Molten chocolate bomb and Basque style cheesecake. The starters were good, they just weren't my first choice, there were others on the seafood section that I wanted to try more, but that's a reason to go back. Both entrées were great, the steak was cooked perfectly with the most delicious chimichurri, and I couldn't get enough of the mushroom pasta. I would get either of these again. I was still a little hungry after the food, but that left room for dessert and not leaving the restaurant uncomfortably stuffed. We brought our own bottle of wine but also got cocktails there. I didn't like my cocktail very much, but everyone else liked thiers, and I tried a sip of the martini and really liked that. They did have a pretty massive wine selection, so very easy to find something you'll like. We made fairly last minute reservations the day before we wanted to go, three of us looked and all got different availability options on open table, but luckily it allowed me to book. The only option was the covered outdoor patio on what was a very intense rainy night, but that patio is sturdy and rain resistant. It was filled with heaters and stayed very warm, if I weren't sat right next to the opening I wouldn't have been able to tell it was raining.

The…read moresteaks were perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The sides were generous, delicious, and paired perfectly with the meal. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and made us feel welcome without being overbearing. The dining room has a warm, elegant atmosphere that's ideal for date nights, anniversaries, business dinners, or any special occasion. While it's definitely a premium dining experience, the exceptional food, excellent service, and refined ambiance make it well worth the visit. I look forward to coming back for another outstanding meal.

HOW DOES THIS PLACE ONLY HAVE 4 STARS ON YELP? It is the best steakhouse in this area…read more Came here last night after seeing The Sound of Music at Broadway San Jose, celebrating a new job and life in general. We did not hold back. The Westholme Wagyu was the showstopper -- that filet with the au gratin potatoes and cremini mushrooms is worth every penny of the occasion you invent to justify it. The Steak Diane was right there with it; the brandy-mushroom cream sauce is the kind of thing you keep going back to with a spoon after the steak is gone. Mongolian Beef was excellent too -- the shaved filet with the garlic chips and slaw had a nice bit of brightness against everything else. And the lobster mac and cheese. I don't need to explain the lobster mac and cheese. Then we ordered four desserts. Yes, four. For two people. The chocolate decadence, the butter cake, the gluten-free torte, and an affogato. No regrets. The butter cake with the strawberries was my favorite, but I was outvoted at least once. Our server JP was fantastic -- attentive, warm, made the whole night feel like an event without ever hovering. Genuinely made the evening. Perfect place for a celebration. We'll be back the next time life gives us an excuse.
