This restaurant is one of my daughter's favorite places to eat. I had been looking forward to trying it and this past Mother's Day weekend was a great opportunity to do so. We decided to do dinner at Bella Bella before attending a Tallahassee Ballet performance. I was certainly not disappointed with this choice. We were warmly greeted immediately upon entering; we chose to dine on the patio; lovely setting and the weather was beautiful! Aside from a pesky fly that seemed to have been drawn to my daughter's wine glass and another patron who we hoped was coughing due to allergies, we enjoyed the atmosphere. And the meal was delicious! We started out with the famous bubble bread that my daughter always raves about - and with good cause; the bread was simply delicious! My daughter ordered the manicotti, with grilled chicken. I had the day's special which was pan-seared grouper over risotto and spinach. OMG, so good! Seasoned just right! All entrees come with salad, and we chose the Ceasar, which was perfectly prepared (fresh crotons, just the right amount of tasty dressing, and shaved parmesan on top). Of note, we observed another table's server put his fingers on the cheese he was serving from the bowl to place on their food. They didn't seem to mind, which was fine with us since he wasn't our server! All in all, an enjoyable experience, and I will certainly return and try other entrees. read more

The dinner was phenomenal. We ordered the eggplant rollatini and the spinach and garlic ravioli. First of all, the marinara sauce was so authentic- the flavors were so simple and rustic, definitely some of the best restaurant marinara sauce I've eaten in a long time. For the ravioli, you could tell the the pasta was fresh and the spinach filling was amazing. My favorite dish was definitely the eggplant rollatini. The eggplant was sliced so thinly, the ricotta cheese filling was divine, and the overall flavor was so delicious. Simply put, the entire dish was perfect. A MUST try!! I'm not a soup fan normally but I always give it a try and this didn't help at all. Following up I ordered the Sicilian Lasagna, expecting a good dish. It was not. It was quite possibly the worst pasta dish I've ever had. The meat was sour as well as the noodles (which there were hardly any of) and the sauce. Multiple other people in my party voiced the same opinions. Fortunately the prices are reasonable, but I still feel like the lasagna is a waste of money. The place is loud, but the waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. We ordered the bubble bread for an appetizer. It was tasty like a cheesy garlic bread. Went here for dinner tonight to celebrate an early Father's Day. The food fell flat compared to past visits. The service was wonderful, we had a very attentive waiter who was knowledgeable of all the specials and made sure we had plenty of time to look over the menu. Both my dad and I got the french onion soup to go with our entree. The soup was delicious, some of the best I've ever had. For our entree my dad got the chicken parmesan and I got the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. My dad loved his meal, but I was a little less impressed. The fettuccine was good, nothing to write home about but good. The shrimp on the other hand was over cooked, chewy, and very bland. I was disappointed that we didn't get any bread for the table when the menu specifically says that all entrees come with bread. I like the macaroni and cheese for the side of entrée. The tube noodle is cut in shell shape. They cook and bake to make crispy over the top burn cheese. I have order the grilled grouper. Like the spice they have use and the okra with tomato sauce on the side. The grouper is good. The food come in the good hot temperature including the side. Bubble bread was great. The marinara sauce here is the best I've had ever. I've been to Italy and 35 other countries. I try to eat great local places everywhere I go. This was the best sauce. The eclectic mixed media paintings adorn the walls to keep customers entertained when they are not looking into their fellow diners' eyes or being enraptured by their food. The Bubble Bread starter is a must, but ask for extra marinara. They usually have specials as well. Last night I tried their risotto balls with sausage interspersed and was only disappointed because there was not more to go around. Last time I was here I had the shrimp scampi, but last night I had the Greek salad with added grilled shrimp. Both entrees are delicious with the shrimp being grilled and seasoned to engage even the most skeptical palates.
