After not going to the dentist in like say... A quick minute. I had to go because I had a major tooth ache. Which turns out I needed it removed, so that happened the same day. This would have been the first time I been to their new office and let me just say their receptionist Yesenia, right off the start was so friendly and welcoming. I didn't feel like a patient but felt more like a friend. She answered all my questions with such a friendly and kind tone. Took her time, actually explaining everything to me and just acted and talked like she genuinely cared for me! You'd think going in to get your tooth checked and end up coming out with one less wisdom tooth (again due to my negligence) would make for a horrible experience. Not for me! Everyone was so kind and nice. I'm so glad I ended up coming back to this dental practice. Let me just end this saying "5 Across the Board" !!! read more

I just went there. I had pain on on my wisdom tooth. I went in and they gave me antibiotics. I felt like they were life savers. Well I then came back to get the wisdom tooth extracted, only to find out i needed to pay 900.00 out of pocket so they can put in a bone graph. I said i did't want the bone graph just the extraction. Dr. Raya tried hard to sell me on this and i still just asked for the extraction. They then tell me that its company procedure to get a bone graph with the extraction. I said cannot pay that and i can't eat. I'm in pain. Their solution was to refer me to someone else. I waited a week! I'm still in pain and its too late and its the weekend. How am i going to find a doctor to extract it now? I have to wait the entire weekend. I haven't ate in more than a week! Don't go here whatever you do. Worst place ever. Makes TJ look like a safe haven. Update: The receptionist called to schedule me in with an Oral Surgeon that comes in once a week. I was a bit hesitant because of the heated discussion we recently had. Before booking the appointment i just wanted to confirm and clarify that i was going to get both wisdom teeth extracted. He said yes, so i scheduled my appointment. When i got there it felt tense. I apologized for my attitude and for getting upset, i do recognize that i could have been more graceful but that i was in pain and felt like they treated me harshly. So Dr. Jeremy Owyoung extracted one and sowed me up, then i asked if he was doing the second one, he said he needed to check with the dentist to see if that was ok. I quickly began to get anxiety. After pressing the issue he extracted both. He was very professional and made the process so easy and painless. I kid you not he had those teeth out within seconds. This man knows what he is doing. I only needed 3 advils that day. No pain nothing! I would recommend this surgeon 10/10 times hands down. However, i am still feeling like i have my guard up. I will keep you posted on my journey with this place. The communication could improve here though. read more

This Dental Group is Sketch. I bought the Groupon that states "Dental Package: Digital X-Ray, Exam, Dental Cleaning and Polishing; Valid with Hygienist", supposedly a $440 value. They did the free consultation, explained everything wrong with the teeth then were very persistent in getting me to apply for a loan through their dental agency. They didn't even do the routine cleaning because "it is illegal with how many procedures that they need to get done". I went to Bella Dental for several years and now I deeply regret it. Multiple fillings have fallen out, that were performed on different dates. Crowns badly shaped, temporary crowns so sharp I risked cutting my tongue. There was a filling where they left clumps of excess filling material shoved down below my gum line instead of smoothing it out. When my new dentist saw it he was mad. Dr. Roya accused me of not brushing instead of admitting one of her fillings may have not taken and came out. When an adult tells you they brush, believe them. Why would a grown adult lie about that? At least half of all the work they did is needing to be redone sooner than the insurance is willing to pay for it again. Bella Dental's work is overall so bad that I think they are a disservice, maybe even a danger to the community. read more

Ok so now on to the issues I have had with thus Dental place. So October 2016 I called to get my kids in for their cleaning. Nothing was open until the end of January 2017! So I scheduled my whole family for exams and cleanings. When I arrived, I seen new staff at the front desk. I believe the girls name was ***** who was helping me at the counter. In the middle of helping me she said "Excuse me, I need to take this call, I have been on hold for 20 minutes now". So I said "that's fine." While I was standing there she is on the phone giving all the clients "personal" information to the person on the other end. Name, DOB, SSN and insurance!!! Really?? What happen to the privacy of the patient?? Do they not need to follow the HIPAA Laws?? This was very concerning to me. Along with disclosing all the clients information, she hangs up and is now on the phone with the other office arguing about the scheduling of a patient and who needs to call the customer to tell them about the schedule change and that she didn't feel she needed to do it because she called there first to get the approval to add the client to their appointments. She seemed very miserable and kept making negative comments about her job. This just seemed very unprofessional. So back to the appointments, which had been moved around several times. I had them scheduled and still kept receiving text messages letting me know my kids are past due for their appointment. I get it, that's why I scheduled them! So I show up and the first thing Irina said was "Youre late". I said "no, my appointment is at 11:20." She argued with me and said "No it was at 11:00 so you are 20 minutes late but I will still take you". I got my phone out and showed her the appt. reminder and she didn't say a word. So, they did the cleaning on my kids, however did not do any flossing BUT was very quick to tell me that I need to buy the electric toothbrush for each of them to help with their brushing. These ranged in price from around $40.00-130.00. We are a family of 5 and she wanted each of us to buy one. I show up for my appointment only to find out that it had been removed and so they could not see me. So they went ahead and rescheduled my exam and cleaning. I seen Dr. ** which during the exam she was very fast and was just saying numbers to the assistant. I have never had an exam hurt like this one did. Afterward he recommended I have a more extensive cleaning done and left the room. The assistant comes in with some paperwork and asks that I sign the bottom. I asked what it was for and he mentioned that they had to let me know the cost of the cleaning that the Dr. was recommending which was about $350.00 that I would have to pay. I said "ok, but this was not scheduling to have it done" and he said "correct, we just have to let you know the cost in case you do it." So I signed the forms and he leaves. When she comes back she tells me that the Hygienist does not have time to see me today and would I like to come back??? "Um no, I waited over 3 months for the cleaning and I have an appointment already scheduled to see her, how does she not have the time?" "Well this cleaning takes about an hour and they only have you down for 15 minutes." I said I did not want that cleaning done right now. I need the regular one done and then I will schedule for the more extensive one at a later date. The assistant tells me that once they have this procedure recommended they CAN'T do the regular cleaning, they have to do that one first. At this point I am so angry with them. He flat out lied to me about signing those papers. IF she had time to do it, they would have scheduled that process without my consent. I really feel that my experience this past week has been worse than going to a car dealership and them trying to sell me a car that I don't need. I have never been treated this way and I'm currently looking for another Dentist. Lack of Patient Confidentiality, lack of efficiency, and trying to upsell every service they offer is not how I want to be treated at my dentist. I would never go back to this place. read more

Went in for a zoom in office teeth whitening treatment and was not happy with the results. What was supposed to take 20-40 mins took an hour and a half. I had a Zoom whitening treatment two years before purchasing the deal with this office and I can tell you they did not use the zoom UV light. They just put the whitening gel and let it sit for two 15min sessions. Did not see the results I was expecting. read more

They are scammers!!!!! This place is a fraud. Stay away!!!! Go elsewhere. Be careful and double check your bills even the ones going to your insurance. I was Bella Dental's patient 11-2017 to 8-2019. They were friendly at the beginning till they brainwashed me into getting a loan so they can get so many unnecessary work on my teeth. Unfortunately I found out too late at my last visit when they didn't do an x-ray or any filling for me and they still billed me for both x-ray and filling. When I complained, they took the filling charge off and said it was a mistake but still charged my insurance for the x-ray that I never had. Who knows how many more incidents have they done? I am sure they had done many more scams like this and said lies to me and my insurance just to get money. I would never trust them with any dental work for me or my loved ones. read more

I seriously recommend Bella dental group. I was very nervous going there because I'm very sensitive and not tolerant to pain so of course I was anxious. Dr. Roya could tell I was feeling un-easy about getting my teeth cleaned and turned on the TV for me and put on whatever channel I would like so that I could calm down while they got ready to clean my teeth, That really helped calm me down! They were also very kind and patient with me. I left there feeling very happy, it went much better than I expected. They only want your money here. I bought a groupon for X-ray, checkup and cleaning, thinking what a deal! But I was so so so wrong. I've had many dental cleanings in my day so I know the how the procedure goes. I was talking to one of the assistants and I told her I've never had a cavity, so she told me she's never had one either. She assumed that like her I produce a lot of saliva so I would need deep cleaning every year. ( Every year?!?! Sketchy sketchy) So after my X-ray the doctor said I did not have any cavities but I would need deep cleaning. (How did I know that was coming! Lol). Well the price they quoted me was pretty high so I told them to just continue my regular cleaning and I would have to go home and think about the deep cleaning. I was kind of puzzled when they just polished my teeth instead of using the drill machine to remove the plaque first. I later questioned the front desk and they told me my teeth are the doctors responsibility so if she performed the full cleaning today I would not come back in to get the deep cleanings later. I was so fumed because i had paid for a full xray and cleaning package, so i expect it to be done whether I come back in for a deep cleaning or not. So in conclusion lol they lure you in with the groupon deal, do a half-assed cleaning at best, then try to take more of your money. read more

Got a groupon in order to give them a test with a basic cleaning and x-rays. They told me I needed $2500 worth of work on top of the cleaning, which was going to include replacing the one filling I have (they said it was no good and needed to come out right away) and filling in a few other cavities. I was not impressed with the facility or service and something seemed off, so I went with my gut and took the cleaning and left. I didn't end up sitting down for another cleaning for a year and a half, but when I did they told me my teeth were in perfect condition. My one filling was holding up very well and wouldn't need to be replaced for awhile and none of my other teeth had any cavities forming. After coming to this Dentist for about 3 years, there will be no more visits. (For me or my family, so they lost a good amount of patients) I went in, did some xrays, then they come up with some crazy treatment plan about $5,000. They had it all planned out, They were like " Can you pay $180 on a Carecrefit a month? I said I can't, I just can't afford it right now. Their attitudes changed that second. I then found out that my insurance now covers all the procedures I needed! So I go back and I ask them to send the paperwork. Their response is "Dont count on them, (DentiCal) They never approve anything" I responded, " Well I'll give it a try and wait to see what they say" Then they immediately start telling me how badly I need this work done blah blah blah. I said I'll wait. They repeatedly said. Dont count on it! They gave me a bad vibe. A month goes by. I call them for any updates, they say it was denied. So I call my Insurance personally. They say " The office didn't fill out the paperwork correctly, We asked for more xrays and they haven't sent anything therefore we can't make a decision yet. I go back into the office and have the lady on the phone speak to the front office lady, she explains to her what she has to do. (I'm praying its fast because I'm in pain! ) I wait another month, mind you the temporary filling they put on my tooth broke off, and now I have a hole that hurts, and all my food gets stuck. , but I'm being patient. I call again and ask for an update, they said sorry it was denied, I said I dont understand why? "They say that's how that insurance is" I call the insurance personally. To my surprise they tell me that the office NEVER sent them the additional xrays or anything!!!!!!!! This office is so unprofessional! They just wanted me to pay out of pocket! Which I'm glad I didn't fall for their games! I dont need no Free teeth whitening! When you're making it seem that you're helping these hard working people. I am embarrassed! I had recommended alot of family members when we all first moved into Tustin! You cant trust these people! My co-worker referred me to Bella dental and I have been treated with care, compassion and respect. Each time I go into the office the staff makes me feel like family. I had high hopes for this place but ended disappointed with it;they lack to appropriately communicate information with a patient. I went in today in the morning because I had an appt. for teeth whitening.One of my relatives had bought a package that cost about $45 and it's stated that anyone could go , so he gave me the pamphlet . When I got there they seemed nice.The lady at the front office asked me when was the The last time I had x-rays done. Because if I had any cavities or tooth decay I wouldn't be able to get my teeth whitened right away. I told her that it was about three months ago because I actually have a primary dentist AND that I just came here because of the package deal. She said that it was fine and that we could talk about any plan after if I wasn't cleared for teeth whitening. I said ok. So I got my X-rays done, and the dentist comes to look at my X-rays. Her name was Kathy. The lady from the front comes in and is writing a bunch of things the dentist is telling her about my teeth. She finishes and tells me I need a bunch of things and tells me I will need a root canal on one of my top teeth. So I tell her that I don't have any discomfort . She replies by saying, "When people have cancer they don't feel it, but it doesn't mean it's not there." I get it she trying to help me understand but I believe that is a horrible response. Then she added, "it's up to you if you want your teeth to fall out." I honestly think that is very unprofessional. What she should have said is, "I understand you have no discomfort but.....I recommend you getting a crown because your tooth can fall out." Instead she showed her unprofessional and unpleasant attitude . So then I get up and the lady from the front said she was going to explain everything up in the front with me, so I got up to got to the front and Shes like excuse me , thinking that I'm ignoring her , which I was not . She told me that she was going to explain things to me up in the front so I started walking that way and that is what I explained to her as well. So then she starts telling me " remember how I said that you can't have any cavities in order to get teeth whitening. I said yes and she's like "I don't know if they didn't tell you at your primary dentists office that you have all those cavities. And I responded by saying "yes they did tell me" she seem like she didn't believe me and she kept explaining the cavities that I have and I told her "yes I know I have a cavity is here here and here." She got mad and I told her that I was just answering her question and letting her know that I was aware of the cavities I have. I told her I didn't have the money to get all those things done I have school and I have insufficient money to get all that work done . She said well I wasn't going to charge you I was going to charge your insurance. I was like OK, and she just went back to the front and sat down and didn't say anything to me I had to ask her if that was all and she said yes and she didn't even look at me. She acted like if she knew my insurance covered everything. Which it doesn't. In conclusion this is WHAT THIS DENTAL OFFICE SHOWED TO ME: They are the type of staff that are very nice to you in order to get your money, but when something goes wrong, or you disagree, they act unprofessional, instead of being compassionate and explaining things to you. I have been going to Bella Dental since they opened in their current location off 405 exit 7. I had a crown replace recently. It took under 2 hours to have my permanent crown installed. The bite was great and the color match with my existing teeth was spot on. They took an image of my mouth, selected the color type for match and then basically 3D printed/manufactured/sculpted the crown. There was no adjustments needed, nor need to wear a temporary crown, and not having to come back 2 weeks later made it really convenient for my busy schedule. I would recommend them to anyone. Whitening Treatment. I am glad the dentist was honest and informative. I went back a few weeks later after my deep cleaning (I hadn't been to the dentist in 8 years!) and was very pleased with the results. Moving from one state to another is a little hectic for almost everyone. My sister highly recommended I give her dentist a try. The first consultation was a lot smoother than I anticipated. My teen and myself were in the cusp of coverage since the move. Not only did Rhonda accommodate and take care of the insurance portion (union/ trust insurance) before my son was seen but made me feel like she knew exactly what she was doing. In the actual consultation we were greeted by Juan the dental assistant. This man has a smile that lights up the room. My son felt comfortable enough to ask a million questions about braces and teeth and X-rays. He singlehandedly made the whole process as seamless as possible. Great sense of humor and definitely goes the extra mile in every way. Once Dr. Nematollahi came in my expectations were pleasantly surpassed in every way possible. She offered treatments necessary and never suggested anything further than what was needed. Attention to detail and the human touch is felt from the moment you walk in. I highly recommend this exceptional office and staff to anyone who is usually on the go and likes a clear flow of not waiting forever to be seen. I really liked this dentist! They were very nice and thorough. I had another dentist for almost 15 years and they always told me I had too many cavities and charged way too much. Here, they said I only have two cavities (which I trust cause I haven't been to the dentist in close to 3 years) and it was going to be way cheaper than I paid before, with insurance! I asked if they took my HMO insurance, they said no sorry, but gave me $80 off my fillings! I didn't even ask for a discount or anything. I started going here when I needed a second opinion about a possible root canal and some botched fillings from a former provider. The team here is amazing from the receptionist to the dental team. I came in expecting close to the same treatment I got in the past which was little time listening to the patient and constant pushing of expensive procedure with little explanation. That is not the case at this office. Dr Roya and her team take the time to listen to your concerns, explain exactly what's happening, are willing to answer questions, and willing to work with you.
