I will give this place two stars all because they were able to accept me as a walk in. I wanted my acrylics off and a gel manicure. I started to tell him (only male there) what I wanted and then he tried not once but twice to get me to purchase a pedicure. When I told him I wanted my nails to be removed he looked at me funny and said, "fill?" They don't listen to what you want and they're not about the customer clientele. Only money hungry. The guy up front assisted me and half way through my nails he cut my nail so short on the side of my thumb. I didn't feel the pain until I look down and I'm bleeding. My nail looks jacked up. I figured it's an accident, I'll allow him to finish. I ended up paying full price and left with a "I'm sorry." Accidents do happen but it is preventable. Take your time and don't look so flustered. The guy in the frilly fluffy shirt wearing fake ass Loboutin's was so rough with my feet, tore up all the skin on my toes, refused to remove the calluses I paid extra to remove, he kept "callus shaming" me very loudly, then i told him he was ripping off my skin and he tried to tell me I was wrong. THEN he changed my color to something different than what I picked without any explanation. From reading the other reviews I'm assuming this guy was Jack. Even the other workers saw how upset I was and the one lady asked me on the way out if I liked the pedicure. I told her no. Never again. I went here because it close to my eye brow place, they were taking walk ins which was very nice. The gentleman doing my nails however wasn't as nice. He was in a rush for whatever reason, he was lazy during the pedicure and by that I just asked him to apply a second coat of color like every other nail place does and he let out a sigh like I was making things really inconvenient for him; the color was a light pink and I'm sure a 3rd coat would've even been useful but since I already got that reaction I wasn't going to ask. As he's cleaning up the nails he gets acetone on one and messes it up and throws his hands in the air and screams "oh shit". The entire process was rushed and uncomfortable We as woman go to places like this for relaxation and it was far from that. Once I paid and he realized there was no tip due to how rude he was being and the quality of work he rushed me out the door, nails still wet, walking on hot asphalt with these thin shoes to dry my toes in the air conditioning of my car. This was the worst pedicure I have ever had. The vibe was so negative and strange it was almost comical. My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a whim and it was like stepping into the twilight zone. You can tell the owner is absolutely deplorable to his employees. He belittled and chastised my nail tech over and over. She was terrified and sick of him. The pedicure was also terrible, painful, and the paint is gloopy, all over my toes as well as missing parts of my toenails all together. She filed my skin and barely scrubbed my feet, she didn't cut or file my nails at all and left the old polish on there. I literally couldn't bring myself to say anything negative because she was so petrified of him. Just stay away at all costs. I've been here about 5 times and this will be my last visit. Every time I come in the prices fluctuate. A pedicure is $25 and Van does a great job with those. However today I wanted a pedicure and gel nail polish. The owner wanted to charge $35 for gel nail polish - no manicure!! Nail polish change and to cut my nails and shape them. He got angry and walked away when I told him I would not pay $10 more to cut my nails. Van was nice and told me should would charge $25 for gel polish. You've lost a customer that spent about $100 a month at your nail shop. Luckily nail shops are a dime a dozen in this town. As a business owner myself, it's never good idea to change prices on customers. Good luck and I hope management changes their "price policy" and maintains same prices. I went in and asked the owner the price for a gel toe polish change and a fill with a gel French polish style. I was quoted $60 and when it was time to pay the nail tech went back and forth about the price so I told her to confirm with him. She decided not to and said she would charge me the $60, but when they started to charge my card there was conversation on the price so I payed the in cash. I was disappointed with the service because I don't like to be told one thing and then it changes so it was the PRINCIPAL of how it went down. The next thing is I have a 3 hour break and the technician took over 2 hours to do my services of a gel toe polish and a fill. I have never spent that amount of time in a nail shop. Took my daughter here for her first experience in getting acrylics. Not only did the 1 guy there file her nails on the side too low, but he also used the same file to do his nails while waiting for the polish to dry! I've been going to Jack for a year now, and I love his salon, and his amazing staff. Van is an excellent technician, and so is Lam. The work they do is always beautiful and long-lasting. I read the other reviews, and there is one who claims Jack was belittling and that his staff was terrified. I'd like to suggest that she was mistaken about her perception with that. Jack does talk to his techs as they are working, but it is always in good fun, and with love. I have gotten to know the staff personally, and the vibe there is more like a close family. The decor is beautiful..tile floors, shear curtains between the pedi chairs, the greeter dressed handsomely in a 3 piece suit. I haven't had the best experience here, but I saw a sign that said new management. I was curious to see if it would be better...it wasn't. The sign is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!! it is not under new management, it's still the same owner Jack. He did my nails previously when I didn't have a good experience. I was already inside and he told me to pick a color. He started on my pedicure and he had really bad allergies. I get it, it's allergy season. But he kept scratching his nose with the nail tool and using it on my toes... , he then nipped my toe..I moved my foot away because it hurt and he pulled it back and cut it even deeper. I never stood up so fast in my life. I don't want an toe infection, at all so I said sorry I had to go and he seemed upset. I went there to get my eyebrows waxed and had a horrible experience. The lady took ALL of my skin off and now it's extremely painful. Not only did she not know what she was doing with waxing, she used completely unsafe waxing practices by using the same stick and double dipping every single time she put it in the wax. This Salon is notorious for causing serious infections from the reviews I have read, but unfortunately I read too late. I spent two days of my vacation in severe pain, my finger was hot to touch, throbbing and the pain and was so excruciating I couldn't sleep, almost like a tooth ache, but on the finger. After speaking to a pharmacist, I bought some anti fungus cream for 18.00 gave some relief. Who knows what's under the polish. I'll flow up on this post later. Please see my green fungus. The staff was very nice, no complaints with that. I wouldn't recommend getting white tips done because they don't do as good a job as other salons I've been to. There are cracks on both thumbs where the tips are and the employee didn't offer to fix them, she just said it was on the tip when she put them on. That was disappointing. She also left residue underneath my nails without filing it out, so I have hard chunks I had to file off myself. She did my toes to match and those turned out really nice. Went in for a pedicure with my friend... while cutting my cuticles the man wasn't paying attention and cut my skin bad... he had to put surgical glue on it to stop from bleeding. I am so frustrated because it has been years since I've gotten my nails done that lifted and didn't even last more than two weeks. This is an over priced salon with bad quality of service. She didn't ask if the temperature was good or not. The water was a little warm but no biggie, but then it got really hot. I should've stopped then, but I said no let me give her a chance. So she takes off my pooling, then she was trimming my toenails she cut down to far, I'm sure I'll have an ingrown toenail later. So I said ouch and that crazy bitch just starts laughing and said "sorry" My job flashed before eyes and that's the only thing that saved her from getting punched in her face. I told her to get her ass away from me that that shit wasn't fucking funny. Went in for a pedicure with regular polish and manicure with the dip powder. The pedicure and manicure were fine however, the powder on my nails ended up having a white residue on it. My manicurist said that maybe the white powder was mixed with the color I chose and that's why it came out messed up. She said that she will give me a gift card so that the next time I came in it would be free. I told her that I'd rather this one be free and next time I would pay for it. Make sense? Pay for the job well done and not for the messed up paint job? She started speaking with a man she said was the manager and asked him if my suggestion was okay and he said no. Then him and I went back and forth to which he told me I can't have anything for free because I have to pay for my services. I reiterated myself that I would have been happy to pay for it full price had it turned out the way it's supposed to. I finally stopped dealing with him because he was unhelpful and rude. The girl that did my nails was very nice and her and I compromised that I would pay the price for a regular manicure but I refused to pay for the powder. Like the majority of nail salons, it's hit and miss each time unless you go to the same person consistantly and they give you the same service each time. I've had a gel manicure here twice. On the phone, they are not so much concerned about customer service, quick and to the point. In the salon, everyone says hello when you walk in, and goodbye when you walk out. The manager is very good about making sure everyone is comfortable and that you're offered water or a soft drink. The lady that did my nails was very sweet, but she did not understand English very well. She was still as helpful as she could be, tried to make conversation the best should could, and she was genuine. The only downside is she didn't pay attention that she was painting over my cuticles, so it grows with a lump and it makes your gel chip on the bottom. I tried to tell her, but she didn't really understand. I don't like complaining at all unless someone is blatantly rude or just doesn't care. Some people don't care as much, but I have OCD issues. We just moved to Las Vegas, so I was checking out this salon close to home, it was an attractive salon but very busy - which is usually a good sign. I waited 5-10 minutes, which was fast since I was a walk-in with no appointment. I did notice the staff rushing all very, VERY busy. This concerned me, because I just want someone to do the work in 20 minutes (or whatever time it took) and not be running back and forth in the salon and answering the phone, finishing up another client, etc. I was asked what service I wanted (French Manicure) - then the technician went to work. First of all, all of my nail polish from a prior mani was not thoroughly removed. I'm not talking about red polish staining my nails, but spots of polish were still on my nails. I figured they would come off while buffing or he'd go back over the nails with acetone before painting them. That didn't happen. He filed my nails okay, but when he cleaned under my nails, it hurt. I told him but his reply was, "Do you want me to do a good job and clean your dirty nails or do you want me to leave them the way they are?" EXCUSE ME? My hands/nails were not dirty (except for the polish that was never removed). At the start of the massage, which I didn't know was coming, my watch and rings were covered in lotion. What???? I would have appreciated a timely suggestion of taking my jewelry off. I just had my watch and ring cleaned (that's another review I will do which is excellent) at M&I Jewelers which cost $210. So I did NOT appreciate the lotion fiasco. I said to him that in the future he may want to let the client know that the massage was coming and suggest they remove their jewelry. He said, "It is not my job to tell you to take your jewelry off." I couldn't believe this - how freakin' rude! Then he said to pay him now - $15.00 - so I handed him my credit card and when he came back, he asked me, "What color do you want?" I told him I asked for a French Manicure. He replied that I needed to give him another $5. At this point, I said, FORGET IT! just paint them clear! I wasn't going to pay anymore money for bad service. So here I sit typing this review (my first ever) with a clear manicure that still has spots of pink polish on them. This place has the look of a 5 star nail spa. My tech mean mugged the entire time and she barely worked on my feet. She did not touch the balls of my feet and we all know what a problem area this is. The owner or manager dresses really cute in his bow ties, tight pants, and matador shirts, but he barks orders at the customers. Pick color lady! Sit there lady! The owner also belittles his staff. Walked in for a pedi. First impression was great. Ambiance was nice, television was a little loud, employees seemed eager to help. Biggest complaint: my toes look like my 5 year old painted them. Polish from the top of toe, to uneven at the cuticle. I noticed this in that car, the salon is very dark, making me miss the horrible polish job. JACK IS AWESOME!!! I've been coming here for the last few years and have had good hospitality every time! Even if there is a problem, there is a solution that is offered right after. For example, I was quoted the wrong price for my nails. The acrylic nail tip had broken off a little on the, but my tech was able to cut down the nail short enough and put a little extra acrylic powder to make it squared and even. I was charged for a complete nail replacement when the tech didn't replace the entire nail. The problem was fixed after questioning if the prices have changed. I don't usually go to an unknown place to get my brows done but I NEEDED IT! The man (don't know his name but he's older and had on a "Dior" shirt) literally chopped my brow in half. I don't have a right brow because he and I quote "tried his best" all I asked for was a clean up and we both agreed that he was not to touch my actual brow/shape. Not sure of the issue but she kept telling him that he's gone too far this time. My pedicure is bad - polish is thick and gloopy in some areas and thin and spotty in others. She didn't trim the nails evenly. My daughter got a full-set of nails and they look horrible! Bumpy on top and rough around the edges of the nails. The polish was done twice and still isn't right - painting over the bumpy acrylic. $40 for the pedicure and $40 for the nails. Then the owner said I'd get $$ off for leaving a review on Yelp for my "next service". His sign out front says - 5% off for Facebook checkin - 10% off Yelp review. I checked in on FB and did get 5% off after insisting but that still doesn't negate the crappy work. I won't be going back for the 10% off but here's his review.
