    The best mozzarella sticks
    Selina L.

Once again this place did not disappoint. We came here for a last minute date on our anniversary and the ambiance was so perfect. The staff was so professional, made us feel so special and well taken care of. I got the Lobster Ravioli again (sooo good!) and my husband got the Chicken Parm. We started off with Mozarella sticks and OMG they were the BEST! Matched so perfectly with the homemade marinara sauce. The staff surprised us as the end with a piece of the most moist chocolate cake. We love this place!! Fine dining at its finest!

It's not very often, you walk into an Italian restaurant and you get greeted in Italian. The restaurant is very cute with Italian music playing and not Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin actual Italian music. I was shocked the food was delicious. I'm very picky with Italian food because my mom is from Sicily so I know what authentic Italian food tastes like and this is pretty spot on. I started with the Insalata Caprese, my main course was Penne Al Pesto and I finished it off with a Limoncello Mascarpone Cake. They also give you complementary focaccia bread with a balsamic olive oil dip. Definitely recommend. Mangia tutti mangia!

He came on a Wednesday night, to an early dinner at 5 PM. The restaurant was empty, but by six Head filled up with several more tables. There was wonderful Italian music playing, giving a wonderful ambience. The server named Teo promptly took our drink orders and was very attentive throughout the whole meal. We were given the specials and actually chose one of them, which was the lamb shank. Braised for several hours over fettuccine. It was tender and flavorful. We also had the veal, very nice with a caper sauce. The carpaccio for an appetizer was perfect. We were celebrating hubby's birthday and they brought a wonderful, dense, rich chocolate cake with a candle and sang to him. We will be back for sure!!

Excellent experience here at lunchtime. Decent wine selection and menu. We ordered lobster ravioli and chicken/shrimp entree, both were delicious. Had the tiramisu and coffee for dessert and it was delicious as well. Service was great, definitely going back very soon. Excellent addition to Manteca, need more such restaurants.

We've been here twice and have been very impressed both times. Very authentic Italian dishes. Great marinara sauce and deliciously light meatballs. Seafood dishes are very fresh. I've had the gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream and the calamari steak dinner. My husband had the mahi mahi scampi special. House made focaccia bread is served to the table with olive oil and balsamic dip. Looking forward to trying their desserts next time.

I ordered the bruschetta al "pamodoro" and the ravioli di aragosta. The bruschetta was good enough- I'd order it again. I like the crispness from the bread as well. Not the best I've had, but good. The bread served comes with an olive oil with chunks of garlic and spices on the bottom- I was hoping this would pack more of a punch than it did. (It was good, just much more mild than I had anticipated.) It did take quite some time to receive my meal. The main arrived about 40mins after finishing the appetizer and about 55mins after initially ordering. (The same time as a couple that arrived well after me, so I'm sure something was missed along the way.) The ravioli itself was a thick semi-tough bite, but flavorful. I'd consider the dish again. I opted for a second glass of wine and asked what he would recommend with my dish. I must admit, my mind was quite blown when I got my bill and it was a $41 GLASS. That would have been good information to have ahead of time. It was a good glass... but not a $41 glass of Chardonnay. (I'm home now and going through others photos- I have to imagine I was mistakenly charged for a bottle, as they have NO glasses listed at that price- so I'll call tomorrow to check, or later this evening when they may slow down.) The wine list is currently minimal and doesn't seem to really highlight a taste of Italy (outside of the chianti). The water has a weird taste to it- not uncommon- as I've had similar at other restaurants between here and Tracy. Just not my personal preference. Overall, I'd be willing to give it another go once they have some of the kinks worked out down the line. Also to note, it was quite busy for a Monday evening and only one server (which again... for a Monday- busier than I think would be expected.) He was hustling the best he could- back and forth between the tables, the host stand and the kitchen. By the time I left, there were maybe 2-3 empty tables in house.

My husband is Italian, so we are always excited to see a new Italian restaurant . I gave this restaurant three stars due to several missteps. We had reservations and were seated promptly by the owner who was very friendly and chatty. I ordered the love bug lemon drop and my husband had the old fashioned. Both drinks were tasty. Misstep#1- my drink had three lemon seeds in it. They need to invest in a drink strainer! I asked the owner what the soup of the day was and he said lobster bisque, but that it had corn in it. I decided to try it. My husband had the spinach salad. Misstep #2-I was served a cup of clam chowder to my surprise! I ordered the veal Marsala and my husband had the chicken Parmesan. They both came with a side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. My husband asked to substitute spaghetti and they obliged. Our dinners came out promptly and were tasty. Misstep #3-My husband complained that the chicken was a bit tough. I tried a bite and he was not joking. I'm not sure why the chicken was tough, but maybe just a bad cut, over cooked, or previously frozen? I decided to have the gelato for dessert. It was fine, but not worth $15!!! Definitely over priced for what was two partial scoops. This restaurant did only open 3 months ago, so they are relatively new. Still, the kinks should be worked out by now. I will come back and give this restaurant another chance to improve their rating.

    Fettuccine Alfredo

A friend told me about this place so I had to try it. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with prawns and it was absolutely delicious. Creamy cheesy saucey. Few days ago and I'm still craving more. Husband had the chicken Marsala. It was tender and sauce on point. He devoured the polenta side so I'm assuming it was good. My kid had the sausage and penne dish and as a picky eater he loved it. His only complaint was the food stayed hot throughout the meal so not really a complaint. Limoncello mascarpone cake was the perfect finish. Service was excellent but I like to focus on food. I definitely wanna support this small business to keep places like this around!

    Pollo Gamberi
    Merry C.

Some of my cousins and I were visiting Manteca and someone recommended we give Bella Mangiata a try. I ordered the pollo gamberi, my cousins had the lobster ravioli and a lamb shank with risotto. All of our food was delicious. The service was excellent and we loved the Italian music played in the restaurant. All of us would go back to Pollo Mangiata in a heartbeat.

    Lamb Chops

My lunch at Bella Mangiata was an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. This restaurant perfectly captures the essence of "Italian class"--offering an atmosphere that is simultaneously elegant and relaxed, making it the ideal destination for a special date night. The experience begins with the ambiance. The soft, melodic music, the warm lighting, and the hum of happy conversation create an inviting and sophisticated vibe. I noticed tables with empty wine bottles and broad smiles, a true testament to the joyful dining experiences being crafted here. Now, to the main event: the food!! I ordered the lamb chops, and it was, without exaggeration, one of the best dishes I've had. The chops themselves were cooked to a perfect, juicy tenderness. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and cooked to an ideal crisp-tender perfection. But the true star of the plate was the sauce--incredibly rich, deeply flavorful, and expertly balanced, elevating the entire dish to something extraordinary. Bravo to the chef! While I was driving and had to admire the wine selections from afar, and I'll certainly return to try the wonderful-sounding appetizers, my meal was complete and spectacular on its own. What truly sets Bella Mangiata apart, however, is the seamless harmony of it all. The service is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. The kitchen delivers culinary artistry. And the setting makes you want to linger. This isn't just a meal; it's a complete experience. Five stars are hardly enough. I will be back very soon! Special thanks to Pedro, Tao, and chef Bora!

I loved the inside, the lighting and the decor it seemed very romantic. I had the veal which I do believe could have been more tender but it wasnt bad. The parking was not great and kind of hard to figure out. I waited a little bit to be seated but the service once seated was much better.

It's located in an industrial area and I'm so happy my family asked to have Italian for this dinner. Julia was our server and was awesome! I appreciated her patience, suggestions, her attention to detail and sense of humor. Service as a whole was top tier here. We got there just in time before their dinner rush. After we ordered the dining room, bar and patio filled up. I had a Cali Squeeze blood orange brew on tap. It was perfectly chilled and perfect on this hot day. We ordered a meatball sub as an appetizer. Oh my goodness, this a must if you are a meatball fan. It was perfect and marinara didn't give me instant heartburn. For entrées our kids ordered chicken alfredo, hubby ordered their Tuscan Siena special and I had to try their steak sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. My steak sandwich had a lot of meat in it, but it was a little dry for my liking. The bread was dry, no condiments, just some onions. We took the leftovers back to our hotel and I picked the steak out and had it with some mustard as a snack. That was more satisfying. We did help our kids eat their chicken alfredo and I enjoyed it with some extra pepper. Next time I'm in Manteca, I will be back for a meatball sub and their fries. I'm so sad I didn't come back for another one and a cold one before leaving, but we'llbe back. This cozy local gem is family friendly, serve great Italian food and their prices are fair. I highly recommend and I look forward to returning. Thank you Julia for your hospitality and great service.

When we first walked in, the place was JAM PACKED. Which is typical for a Sunday afternoon and that's not even the problem. The lines were taking a bit of time but luckily I wasn't even Hangry, I was pretty chill waiting patiently with my parents. The girl who ended up ringing us up was TALKING SO FAST. Which granted, I'm sure that's the way someone trained her or that's the way she learned how to do it but because she took our order so fast she ended up making a mistake. At the end she repeated back the whole order and my mom responded with, "I think so." I could understand most of what she repeated back to us, but I was just thinking if someone else who couldn't process as quickly was getting helped by someone like this .... people need to learn how to have patience. Like, what's the rush girl?? Okay, let's move on. Soooo, they ended up fixing the mistake with the charge and what not and we went to go find our table. Our server was lovely, sweet, and she kept checking in on us. S/O Liliana, your service was MUCH appreciated. She was quick to pick up our plates and return and ask us if we wanted a refill on our water. Ok last but not least, this Prime Rib Burger. This burger was LACKING, like where was the rest of the meat YO? I'd probably compare this burger to the same as a McDonald's cheese burger. The only thing that's elevated is the bun. Also, this Yam with the little sweet butter thing on the side. Also, just okay. The pairing just doesn't really make sense. I'll be recommending a different place to my parents next time we all go out to eat.
