There's something special about walking into an old-school Italian deli that still feels like home, and Bella Vista Deli is exactly that. One of the few authentic old-time Italian delis still standing in Yonkers, this place brings you right back the second you walk through the door. From the hot cooked foods and buffet, to the cold sandwiches and signature creations, everything here feels classic and genuine. They even sell fresh bread and slice it for you with the old-school bread slicing machine like the good old days. That alone tells you everything you need to know about this place. One of my absolute favorites is the "1 and 1" bacon, egg & cheese on a roll -- one slice of American cheese and one slice of fresh mozzarella. I get mine well done with salt and pepper and it hits every single time. Their "New York Style Chopped Cheese" on a club roll is also spot on. Another must-try is their signature sandwich called "Glen's Way" -- chicken salad with bacon mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Unreal. Add in the huge selection of juices, Italian cookies, chocolates, and specialty items, and you could spend time just looking around enjoying the atmosphere. But what really makes Bella Vista special is the people. Vinny, Anthony, and Jesus, and the rest of the crew are great guys who truly make you feel welcomed. The hospitality they've shown my family and me has always been top notch. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the personalities are raw, the Yonkers accents are authentic, and underneath it all is genuine kindness and community. Old-school New York deli vibes are hard to find these days, but Bella Vista still keeps that spirit alive. Located right across from Sky Zone Trampoline Park on the strip. this one star is not a compliment a zero star is what this deli deserves. this deli is a robbery, they charge whatever they want when they want even though their prices are up!! i ordered a ham and cheese with lettuce and tomatoes price was up, i called and they also said $8.50 and when i went to pay they charged me $10.50. and when speaking to the owner who was so arrogant and disgustingly rude he stated well thats our price and hung up on me... so watch yor money when gong to this deli... i do not recommend at all , they are a price gouging deli.. read more

I used to go to this deli years ago but I stopped going because the previous owner who's name I won't mention was a very nasty and rude individual who did not appreciate loyal customers. He was always in a bad mood and always gave you a sarcastic answer if you asked him a question. Glad he sold because that's no way to run a business and I'm sure he lost a lot of business. At the time...the sandwiches and hot food he made were okay at best. I had recently stopped in there to check out the place with a co-worker cause I heard he had sold out and there had been new owners. We found the deli to be clean and the clerks behind the counter were helpful and respectful. We ordered a couple of Italian combo heroes as well as a couple other sandwiches to take home. The combos were done nicely with Italian cold-cuts and they put just the right amount of lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar. The sandwiches I took home were also done nicely and tasted very good. Wanted to give this joint a shot cause I haven't been there in years and am happy to see this place has turned over rather nicely. LOVE LOVE LOVE! The guys n this place are great! They have the BEST CHICKEN CUTLET! Yes i said it. It's flavorful and not bland. They dont take any shortcuts and if the did I can't tell! This is the best deli around the Westchester area! We ordered turkey and chicken sandwiches for a birthday catering! He made a number 1 shape even though we were ordering last minute. I was going to give this place more stars... Until I found a hair in my sausage and peppers. The sandwich was also kind of plain. It didn't come with any sauce; it just came on a roll. Probably the most bland sausage and pepper sandwich I've had. Then I chomped down on a hair.... That was in my sandwich. That gave it more flavor I guess? Yuck!! read more

The lady in front was so rude . When I walked she was on the phone and didn't even greet me , after I made my order and went to pay she made a face as if I was a bother for interrupting her on her phone . She also didn't talk to me or say thank you and basically threw my change at me .
