Two Raspberry napoleons - i like these but bought them for my co-workers, they said they loved it. One salmon quiche - nothing special, last time I got ham and cheese quiche that one tested much better. Whole thing costed 37 plus change and 2tip. Staff was very helpful and patient while two people made a selection in front of me and when asked them to box my cakes in separate boxes. My mom was craving for napoleans I looked up online to find the best pastry shop that can satisfy her craving. Everyone talked about this place and I drive 20 miles to get there. We bought a raspberry napoleon for my mom and I had a chocolate cake. My chocolate cake was very tiny and taste ok but nothing amazing. First off it pains me to say this but Belle Pastry isn't too stroller friendly, only because there are a few steps that lead up to the main doors. It's doable but sometimes its not worth the hassle. HOWEVER it is worth the hassle here, especially for the Napoleon! We ended up getting two things to go and they traveled well (back to the condo which was about a 15 minute walk). The iced tea was fine, it did its job for a hot day, though it wasn't memorable. Anyways, seeing as how I only tried two items (one that was mediocre-chocolate something or other) I can easily say that I am a fan and will be returning simply because the Napoleon was that delicious! The staff is nice, the place is very clean and bright. It's a good place to meet someone for coffee. The coffee is pretty good. It could be great but it needs some work and the prices don't reflect the quality of the pastry. I've been in a couple of times and my experiences with their pastries are hit and miss. For example I've tried their brioche with Nutella twice, it was pretty good the first time, but the second it was dry and flavorless. The quality of meringue on a store-bought lemon meringue pie is rather questionable as it often tastes like super sugary gooey mousse. However, Belle Pastry's was silky and not overly sweet, perfectly complementing the smooth and tangy lemon curd. Even my boyfriend loved it!! (He is not a lemon meringue fan at all, so I was shocked.) I have the world's biggest sweet tooth, but I hate overly sweet desserts. First time visitor, and likely last time customer. After a long day and late lunch just wanted something sweet in the evening and somewhere with a decent atmosphere to hang out. Instead, we were quickly welcomed with the notification that the hours just changing to an 8pm close time. We were able to order and leave, but anyone else who came in after us was basically turned away. Not sure why a business would be chasing out paying customers. Anyway, food was meh. Ordered a few pastries including butter croissant (stale and no flavor), meringue (little flavor), strawberry cake slice (strawberries frozen, cake was stale). I didn't order a mocha but the family said they were okay and my Americano was fine. Either way probably won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

This is my favorite place to go for French style breakfast sandwiches. I always get their croissant egg salad sandwich and croque-monsieur, along with their espresso drinks and dessert pastries. I'm also a fan of their French style cookies and a loaf of brioche to take home with me. If you want to sit down at the table, try to come little bit early before noon or after prime lunch time. Cute little place. The service is always so nice and friendly. I love chatting with the people here. My favorites are the quiche. I get the quiche lorraine pretty much every time I go though I've never been disappointed by ay of the bakery items there. They also have a couple sandwiches they'll make, not a huge selection but they're tasty. The drinks are good I've tried both their coffee drinks and hot chocolate and liked both. Love their croissants and pastries. They have the best almond croissants I've come across on the Eastside. Quality is always top notch. Customer service is great. There are very nice people that work there. It could be the slow but continuous trickle of patrons but the service is fast and still personal. You can sit inside or outside and enjoy your coffee and pastries for as long as you want, they don't rush you out. Currently they have curbside pick up which is super easy. You can either call in or order the pastries online on their website. I don't live in Bellevue anymore, but still make it out there once a month to grab some pastries. Spotted this place during a stroll on Bellevue old downtown area. Well maintained store with good customer service. The lady who attended us was patient enough to explain every pastry. It was very hard to decide what to eat. Finally we picked Palmier,Macaroon,Creme Rolle and Raspberry Cheesecake Croissant. Everything was so fresh and light. One of my favorite was Raspberry cheesecake croissant, it was moist and less buttery. This store will definitely be my first choice for my pastry cravings. Reminded me of Paris in all the worst ways. Stank of stale and fresh cigarette smoke. Dirty smudged dubious pastry cases with scant offerings. Clueless shop girl had to use her fingers to count a dozen (twice). Dropped some sweaty looking macarons in an oversized box. Had to ask her to repack them with tissue. Instead she grabbed some cocktail naplikand stuffed them in. Why oh why didn't I turn around and walk away? Then I stopped at H Market for chicken and was greeted by a beautiful case of perfect lovely Macs at Tous Les Jours just inside the market. Oiy! Addendum - got home and thought maybe I just taste one before presenting them to the birthday girl. Sorry to say they taste as bad as they look. Chocolate tastes like bland sweetness, no hint of cocoa and the filing tastes like cheap butter - just butter - nothing else, like eating butter - which isn't the worst thing but I could just cut to the chase and eat, well - butter. They even charged for the difference when we asked to change to a different pastry and the lady served it with a sour face. We will be going to a different coffee shop from now. But recently, as I was leaving after finishing my meal, I decided to do what I thought was a good thing by bussing our table because the others had left without doing so. This place is as good as it gets. Not only are you immediately greeted by friendly staff, but you get to feast your eyes on an array of traditional french pastries. There are too many delicious choices to pick just one! If you're hungry for lunch, enjoy soup / sandwich combo or a soup/ quiche combo (my favorite is the tomato soup and salmon quiche). I've never tried the coffee (tea drinker) but the drinks look amazing and the service is quick. I come here almost every week and spend a couple hours sitting at the farm table working through lunch. Legit French pastries but service is meh. They have a really weird set up, you order in the middle, pay of the left, pick up on the right. Sometimes I have to remind them that I ordered something and they don't take your name so someone else behind you who ordered the same food might swipe your order before you do. I'm writing this review so the owner or the manager reads this review and make some changes. As my family own small business, I understand how important these reviews are for your business so I dont usually write any bad reviews.But this trip to Belle pasty today was so bad, I had to say something to the managements. Belle pastry is one of the reason why I enjoy driving 30-40minutes of driving time to the Bellevue. Cozy atmosphere, comfortable parking and amazing desserts are something that always brought me back to Belle pastry. Because I love this place , I try to act politely when I order, and to the people around my table. Bus, pick up crumbs, putting the chair back if I borrowed one from other table. When I went there today, the person who took order was rude. Rushing to order and sounded something like "are you gonna order or what?". I felt like I was at the fast-food chain in NY or something. When i was in the middle of the conversation with my friends, other lady who were cleaning other table interrupted and said " Can you put the chair back?" In a not polite way. So when we were done we put a chair back, wipe the table, bus ourselves. As we were leaving, the same lady who told us to put the chair back was making coffee and said something like " oh they didn't put the chair back like I asked" . Is it customers job to remember which table should have 2 chair not 3? Is it so important that customers should be reminded when they are in the middle of the conversation? What did do to deserve that kind of customer service? Makes me hesitant to go back to this place again because of such bad experience and rudeness.
