What an amazing hidden gem! I was craving some pasta today and did some internet sleuthing. That's when I came across some amazing reviews for Bellisimo and decided to give it a try. The service was great, everything smelled delicious and the spaghetti and meatballs we chose were truly scrumptious!!! I am very critical when it comes to Italian food but damn! So so tasty! One of the absolute BEST restaurants that I've tried in Louisville. I went here for the first time in late January and I've already been back twice. The flavors and textures they bring to eat dish is unmatched. I've had the mantu and the kabobs. Everything is tender, seasoned, and full of flavor. I love the sides of cucumber salad, yogurt, and green chutney. It elevates every bite. The service is great and even though the space is small - they take reservations if you need it. Was in the area and heard Bellissimo had great Italian Food, but instead we tried the Afghan dishes. We were glad we did. The Matuu dumpling were fantastic. Very flavorful and stuffed with minced beef and spices. Had a little kick to them but really good . Reminded us of pot stickers. We also had the Baja Borani which was a sautéed eggplant. Very tasty dish and was served with flat bread. We had Bolzano stuffed flat bread filled with potatoes and was served with a green mint dipping sauce that was very flavorful. We would defiantly go back just for the Afghan dishes. We spoke with the owner and she said that all the Italian pasta is made in-house. Her husband worked at Vincenzo's for 15 years. This is a family ran restaurant. Very clean inside and very good service. Portions are large and they were accommodating so we could share the dishes. A must try place. read more

Someone had recently posted on Next Door what a hidden gem this little restaurant is and I have to agree. I've been there three times so far and all I've had is the tortellini (and cannolis). I'm sure their other menu offerings are delicious as well, but, I can't even type this review without my mouth watering thinking about their tortellini. Unfortunately, they are closed today. The restaurant is clean, the food is good, and the family is nice. I'm curious to try other dishes when/if I can get over my tortellini fixation. A must-try! read more

My son found this resraurant and loves it. We chose it for his Birthday dinner. The atmosphere was friendly, inviting and very clean ! The staff and owner were friendly and accommodating. Gave all 7 of us great recommendations and attentive service. i had the Caprese appetizer...as well as the table shared a platter of Aushak. My entree was Banjan Borani. Everything was fresh prepared and tasted wonderful! I have never trued Afghan cuisine and I will go back! It is a great addition to my list of wonderful places! And the pricing was great for the amount of food we had as there was 6 adults and it was under $140 with a generous tip! Oh and the cannoli were so good! read more

Bellissimo is a humble little food truck with stable Italian food. They tour East Side apartment communities often, and you can see their schedule from their social media! I was a little underwhelmed by their menu, and had the Chicken Alfredo. I think they used the same scoop so it tasted a little spicy. Regardless, the food was delicious but the portion was a little small. I don't eat much, but I didn't feel full after. You can see from the picture, for $8, it didn't get you much food. Their bread was delicious tho. I would probably order again if they come back! read more

I recently had the opportunity to try Bellissimo when their food truck visited my apartment complex. I was expecting our food to be good, but was honestly blown away by how great it was! All of the meals are affordably priced and come with a lot of food. I ordered the penne Alfredo with chicken, and my husband ordered the meatball sub. The Alfredo was super creamy and cheesy, and the sub roll for the sub was such good quality. It held up really well with all of the sauce on it. Both of our meals were delicious, but I think I enjoyed the sub just a bit more! We also ordered the cannolis to have for dessert, and they were perfect. They reminded me of cannolis I get at a small Italian bakery when I'm visiting family in New Jersey. The Bellissimo food truck is going to be in our area again in a few weeks, and we are already planning on having that for dinner when they're here! read more

The food truck came to the Flats of Springhurst community. I ordered the spicy chicken Alfredo and it was so good. Truly the best Alfredo that I've had from a restaurant. It was seasoned perfectly. The sauce made expertly. I make pretty good Alfredo sauce myself so it is hard for me to go out to eat and it not meet my standards. However, Bellissimo definitely knows how to get it right. Wow! True Authentic Italian Cooking! I just ordered from their food truck that was at Spectrum today. The Ravioli is fantastic. A mild creamy tomato sauce with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese, mushrooms and great tasting raviolis. I ordered meatballs with it and they were delicious.
