Place is very unclean, bathrooms are disgusting, towels the students use on clients always look very dirty as well as the washing bowls. If state board came in they probably wouldn't pass and a lot of the students complain about lack of education, money being wasted, not getting everything they paid for and drama between students, teachers, and the director. Christine Church is an amazing and talented hair ARTIST. Her professionalism and attention to detail made my experience at Bellus one of the best I have ever had in a salon. She is my go-to for a long layered cut and of course a blowout. My hair has never looked better. I had a very upsetting experience at this place. Cassandra was assigned to give me highlights. She started applying the bleach in my hair, and although she claimed that she was about to graduate, she started slow even in parting my hair for prepping it. She then started to apply the bleach. She was being extremely slow and so I politely told her that the bleach has been in my hair a bit too long as she had not even covered 1/4 of it. This was a partial highlight. After a couple of attempts of asking her to see if she could wash out the part of my hair that had taken her 1.5 hrs to apply, she rudely told me, "Don't worry about it." I then asked for her to get her instructor, Ms. Rosa, who I thought would maybe help her or ask her to be quicker. She instead came with an attitude, telling me, "What do you know about hair?" and that I am "like a student myself". I showed her a clear instruction online that says bleach should not stay in your hair longer than 45 min. And she simply walked away! To begin with, I believe, before they teach the students how to do people's hair, they should set an example of good manners and teach them how important that is. They need to realize that they're there to please their clients and not use them like a mannequin and do whatever they please in spite of what they're being asked to do. read more

I'm currently a student here, I take the esthetician course. I've only been in school around a month and a half. Upon enrolling, they don't tell you or give you much information. You keep finding out more and more amongst the students and they actually have the student's educating you more than the staff themselves. Super unorganized and unprofessional. Talking amongst other students taking different course ....all have had the same experiences. And everyone is extremely frustrated. Now for the cherry on top, I went to the cosmo/barbers for help with a hair cut that I admit...I butchered my hair. But the teachers were ruthless I needed help and I offered pay or I could exchange serivese., these teachers actually made me I feel judged and mad uncomfortable. One of the educators said they would help and had a student wash my hair...this educator left me with soaking wet hair for 40 minutes...my head was wet and itchy. I actually just got up and left because I was so embarrassed about it all. So over all would not recommend this campus for anyone looking into it. read more

I was skeptical at first since so many different services take place at Bellus, but the room for esthetician care has a relaxing aura, I enjoy the relaxing music the most.
