I like the DQ, I don't come here often but when I do - I really like a a thick chocolate shake, the kind that can deal with my running around errands. It sits in my cars cup holder and ever so slowly melts, so each time I get back I have a few nice nice cool shake sips to enjoy as I drive to the next place, by the time I am done, so is my shake. Nice enough people, but charging .70 flat fee for a credit card transaction is ridiculous. I know there is a cost to use a CC machine, and if a specific business model warrants it, I understand the need to pass it along. But to charge a flat number of .70 which equals 18% on a $4 Blizzard is insulting. Take your average sale and build it in the cost, or do the extra work and charge 3% like those merchants who pass along the fee. There are PLENTY of options for ice cream in the area, and when the Benny's go home, I won't be coming back in the off season. You have to make it easy to do business with you. I don't frequent this place that much, but I was in the mood for a large Black-and-white milkshake. I told Edgar to make it perfect and guess what he did. I had to tip the man, it was delish. There's ample parking here and the place is very clean. I did not order an orange Julius nor the now very popular dipped cones with some exotic fruit toppings, just a black n white. Went here last week and used my debit card. I asked for a receipt so I would remember to deduct it on my checking account ledger. I was very surprised to see I was charged a 90 cent addition to my total price. They have no signs or did not tell me when I handed them my card. I will never go here again. I hope they take my 90 cents and everyone's who gets this extra charge and buy some cleaning supplies because the counter and floors were very dirty. Good luck dairy queen. read more

Yesterday was my third visit to this location. Each time we ordered the same three items. Each time we were charged higher than the posted price. The same counter person was there each time. $1.00 charge for sprinkles. Two small cones with sprinkles was $9.90 yesterday. The float was $6.35. The store had a strong odor of pine cleaner. Not a good smell when dealing with food. Check your charges against the menu board and count your change. The selection is typical of all Dairy Queen's. No public restroom if you have children. Dairy Queen seems to be frozen in time and it's certainly difficult to walk away from the nostalgia but the lust to downsize everything on their menu is in full meltdown here. I wish I could give this place 0 stars honestly... I hate to say that but, my friends and I can here for dessert tonight (June 2021) and let's just say, NASTY. The place smelled like bleach when we walked in and the barriers where they scoop the icecream out of had ice built up from it looks like YEARS. The place was a mess and literally falling apart. They had just closed but reopened for us!!!! Young guys working all seemed to be having fun. They were genuinely kind and allowed us I'm with a smile. On top of that they were giving us more than we asked! We didn't want to bother but they insisted to make sure we got exactly what we were there for. The ice cream never let's me down here! I got a cone with 2 flavors that were unreal and mixed so well. I will absolutely come back here multiple times. They continued to make us feel welcome and know that it's not a problem at all! On top of that, they freaking knew their stuff! We had a lot of annoying questions and they really just knew it all. These guys are truly awesome. 5 star spot for sure. My husband loves blizzards so he asked me to pick one up last night. At 9:30 there was a fellow mopping the floor - and I mean the whole floor was soaking wet - and he kept on mopping and cleaning while we were waiting- which took longer than usual because there was only one counter person. I get it Thursday night - October so off season- but really- not only was the floor crazy wet - like a quarter inch of water but the smell of cleaning fluid was so strong - I got a slamming headache. I give this place 4 stars. Honestly for a chain spot they do a great job. Its right next to my apartment so I stroll down there after a few bong rips and I'm in heaven. I always get the oreo clusterfuck blizzard they make it just right and the service is GREAT which is always good. A bunch of young high school kids work there but they're happy to have a job and always seem to be happy when you show up which is unusual these days. Try this place out its great. read more

The young kids that work here are friendly, outgoing and seem to care about the customers. However I find the owner rude, disresptful and just plain mean. If I could give this place zero stars and still leave a review I would. 99% of the time that's what this place deserves. It's gone way down hill since I've come here when I was a kid. I've been here numerous times within the past year and each time I come the young employees are absolutely miserable. I remember my first job and it wasn't my favorite place to be, but at least I put on a smile for the customers. All summer I went here and paid with my debit card. I also went in the fall and they charged me extra to use my debit. I love DQ and went there as a child. Today I did not have a good experience. I babysit a girl named Abbey and she got a five dollar gift card for an end of the year goodie. After she got her DQ blizzard the second we stepped outside it dripped all over her. We went back inside and got a bigger cup. It was so soupy you could drink it with a straw. She had to throw it out before she got halfway through the Blizzard. She even told me it tasted awful. My sundae was ok. Maybe they need a better freezer. read more

I took my family to dairy queen in Belmar on Sunday. Much to my surprise we had a horrible experience. I ordered a small van cone to be dipped the girl said the ice cream was to soft to be dipped but never said until after we ordered that the ice cream was not freezing. First cone fell off cone all over my 8 month old baby. The other 3 cones were melting while licking as soon as we received them. I feel we should have been told that ice cream was not fully frozen before we ordered and we would have gone somewhere else to get what we paid for.
