Checked out Benedict's on a visit to OB this am. Super easy or order through the kiosk, fast service, and yummy food. We got the breakfast burrito that we ended up splitting because it was a lot of food! The only thing is if they could fix up the tables in their seating area 30% of them are broken or teetering unfortunately. They are usually pretty busy so you kinda just have to accept it.
Wow! I'm so glad we found this spot on Yelp! It's a cute little outdoor area where you order from a kiosk and wait for your food. I wish they had more shade, since it did get pretty hot.. but the food was amazing! We got the breakfast sandwich, which had sooo much flavor. We also ordered the breakfast wrap, which was also good. The portions were really big, so def shareable.
Stumbled upon this place looking for a quick bite on our last day of our SD trip and Benedict's was in walking distance. Expectations were low, but we were pleasantly surprised! Long line on a Sunday morning to order at the kiosk, however it moved fast and food came out pretty quickly. Many others here were also in and out so we were able to grab one of the outside tables. Coffee wasn't anything special, but the food was bomb. 10/10 breakfast burrito!
Why we waited to try this amazing restaurant in an airstream trailer that was on-site of our hotel(Ocean Villa Inn) in Ocean Beach , I do not know! This place we tried on our last day in OB, just before packing up the room to head home. The breakfast sandwich was so large that only half could be eaten at breakfast. Both the other half and rest of bacon my dog, Kai, did not eat was also my dinner on arriving home that night! This sandwich was delicious! My daughter enjoyed her breakfast burrito with bacon the same way- in two meals. We ordered at an ipad kiosk at the start of seating deck and it was easy to use. Reasonable prices and the service friendly and quick once they call your name to pick up. Will go back and Highly recommend!
Solid 4.5 stars So this place came up on my IG and it looked good. I went on a Wednesday morning and street parking was easy to find. I ordered through their Kiosk. Their prices are more than what is displayed on their website just to note- I got a breakfast sandwich which is now $19 and an orange juice $4.50. Once you place your order, just go take a seat and listen for your name. Just as everyone mentioned, their portions are pretty big. The sandwich includes scrambled eggs and cheese and a protein- I chose bacon. You can choose between potatoes or mixed greens. Taste wise, it was good. Nice butter brioche bread. You can't really mess up scrambled eggs and cheese, and they also give you a little cup of their green sauce. The sauce (cilantro base)was flavorful but just a tad bit salty for me. I was only able to eat half of that sandwich it's that big. I'm not sure if the orange juice is freshly squeezed but it tasted like it. Was very refreshing. Point Loma is not close to me but if I'm in the area again I would stop by and try a different menu item. Also customer service was excellent!
You have found the best breakfast spot around! We got the Farmhouse Benedict (amazing! The chipotle sauce and all the veggies and the garlic butter English muffin, yum!!!) and the Bacon Egg and Cheese Omelet (huge and cheesy!) and got both with potatoes (exactly what you envision breakfast potatoes to be). We shared it between my husband and I and two kids and it was the perfect amount of food (and the price was right for the generous portions!). We also got a latte (sugar is available on site to sweeten to your taste) and Americano and we're happy with those too. I ordered online ahead of time and it was ready right when we got there. The outdoor patio is plenty of space to sit and enjoy a cool beach morning and then walk over to the dog beach and watch some cutie dogs run around. An excellent way to start your day!
Huge portion sizes and good food for a great price! We got a breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, bacon and cheddar omelet, and a side of scrambled eggs/potatoes. I had the avocado toast and it was delicious! I usually complain that places don't have enough avo on their avocado toast but this place loaded it on. When I held the ends of the toast it sagged in the middle from the weight of all the toppings, which is an A+ for me. My only complaint was that most of the tables had crumbs/dirt on them and could use more regular cleaning.
My husband and I were looking for a new brunch place to try and we stumbled upon this place online with high star rating in a lot of reviews, so piqued my interest. And wow I understand completely why it had such an outstanding review status. This is a very casual order at a kiosk brunch spot. It's outdoor in dog friendly. My husband and I both ordered the B. A. T Benedict which is a spin on a traditional Benedict and comes with bacon and avocado and some other goodies. It also comes with potatoes on the side. I'm not exaggerating, this is one of the best eggs Benedicts I've ever had in my life! Not to be a branch snob but I was very taken back about how amazing this was! So we went here on Saturday post surfing in ob. We literally love this place so much we went again post surfing on Sunday! And we most certainly will be returning customers.
You ever find a place so good that you end up coming three days in a row even when you could go somewhere else? Yeah this place is absolutely amazing and for the price you're paying you get an insane amount of food! I tried the bacon breakfast burrito, the bacon eggs Benedict and the bacon breakfast sandwich. All of it was 10000000/10. The sandwich was probably my favorite only because the bread they use is to die for. Green sauce and red sauce they have is also soooo yummy I only wish they sold their sauces because I would sell them OUT! Will be thinking of this place until the next time we're up in Ocean Beach and be jealous we don't have one in Phoenix :'-)
First morning on my visit to San Diego and the breakfast place that caught my attention. . Benedict's . Talk. . About. . Yum. . There was a line when I got there, but it moved pretty smoothly. People ordered at the kiosk/ pad and sat down. Wasn't enough seating for EVERY single person in line, but it looked like people were taking it to go. A sunny and perfect day to eat it by the beach, I'd say. My order was called out by the friendly chef at the window. The other side called out drink/ coffee orders. I had the breakfast burrito and the B.A.T Eggs Benedict. The spicy red salsa was super delicious and the green sauce for the Eggs Benedict was very addicting. Everything tasted great. The breakfast burrito was loaded with delicious eggs, and the benedict is definitely a contender in being one of the best I've tried. Loaded and delicious . . A great breakfast spot with a beachy breakfast shack ambiance. A shame I'm only visiting for the weekend, but definitely a place I'd like to have again on my next trip to San Diego!
Breakfast Burrito 100/10 - bursting with flavor not a basic breakfast burrito - MUST eat with red and green salad, takes the flavor to the next level - Very big, I recommend sharing - Good combinations of Peanut butter Smoothie 10/10 - very thick smoothie - Taste just like peanut butter and is great Orange Juice 10/10 - freshly squeezed - Very refreshing A must try spot in San Diego! The reviews don't lie. Decided to stop by for breakfast with my brother and we were both very happy with our choice. We both agreed the breakfast burrito is the best we have ever had. The sauces were really yummy and added a bunch more flavor to the already good burrito. The burrito is loaded with ingredients that mix well together. They take breakfast burritos to another level, it's not just basic. The peanut butter smoothie was really yummy, it was definitely more of a dessert and great for anyone who loves peanut butter. Their orange juice was really good and freshly squeezed. It went will with the burrito. It's an outdoors brunch place, it's really nice to eat outside when there is nice weather. The beach is a block away so you can even take your meal to the beach and have a nice picnic. The workers are very friendly and you can tell they care about the hard work they put into their food truck and food. A worker came by to ask everyone how their food was. He was very sweet and was easy to strike up a conversation with.

First time bringing the pups to dog beach and they needed to start their busy day with a hearty and delicious breakfast. I had the avocado toast and it was marvelous, I highly recommend splitting with someone! My friend is not a fan of avocado so she had the traditional eggs Benedict and the bite I had was absolutely delicious. The pups enjoyed their scrambled eggs which was a great side for only $3. Will be going again today...Oh and shout out to the employees who were cranking out orders, there was a line the whole time and they did not slow down! read more

This was probably the best thing we ate on our trip to Cali. It's a no frills outdoor food truck vibe with a few tables. You order on the kiosk and food was ready within 10 minutes. You would have thought this breakfast came out of a gourmet brunch spot, at half the price. The two of us had breakfast for ~$27. I got the traditional benedict and my wife got the avocado toast. Both delicious. The benny had a chipotle hollandaise on it, which added a nice kick. The avocado cream sauce it came with was UNREAL. My only recommendation would have been to drop the potatoes back in the fryer for a minute or two before serving, because if they were crispy, it would be a game changer, because they were already tasty and well seasoned. This is my 3rd time back and seriously my favorite breakfast spot!! The location nestled next to Ocean Beach is so beautiful and chill. The staff are personable and friendly with easy ordering and quick service. I'm telling you I've never had a more perfect cooked egg! you know eggs are hard to get right and the poached eggs are perfect every time! Benedict's has so much flavor and the portion is large, bang for your Buck. Allow me to tell you a story. Skip down three paragraphs for the actual review. I struggled my way through college years ago at UC San Diego. That place's cafeteria food is awful, I distinctly remember my brother visited me once and had to pay $20 for 4 meatballs. One of the only saving graces of food there was the farmer's market. It was there, 7 years ago, that I met my one true love, Benedict's. It single-handedly made my favorite breakfast food the Eggs Benedict and it remains this way today. Whenever I could, I'd make my way down to the market every Wednesday to get my fix. Some days I considered buying two servings so I could eat it for dinner too. After graduating I never found any place that could match its flavor, and I don't live near San Diego anymore so I can't go to its farmers market. Sometimes when I visit my brother in San Diego I would look for it in vain, this place had very little social media footprint. Later on I couldn't find it anywhere, not even at the farmers market posts. I craved its Benedict but I had given up hope and thought that it would live on in my heart. Until a week ago. 5 years since I've had this Benedict. I'm planning for a quick vacation in San Diego and my girlfriend suggests giving it a search again and there it is on the website. At some point they must've decided to have social media again. I tell myself it can't be the same place, but I scroll down the menu and I see the familiar "BAT" Benedict with that weird green sauce on the potatoes. Could it be? The first spot on our itinerary is this restaurant. I tell my girlfriend that I love her more than this Benedict, but she seems unconvinced. We get there and it's some random shack on a road but it's popular despite everything around it being empty and run down. I force myself to remain calm. I ring the order up and wait 15 agonizing minutes, but deep down I already know it must be the place. But what if they changed the recipe and it's garbage now? Worry not reader, they did not change the recipe. It is exactly what made me fall in love with eggs Benedict in the first place and I devour the meal in short order and let my girlfriend know we will be returning. She nods, I believe the Benedict has won her heart over too. This place is located near the beach next to some old inn. It looks unassuming but the small crowd around this old trailer will give you the first hint that this place is special. You order on a digital menu and the wait is around 15 minutes. The main downside for eating here is the flies, these guys eat good here. The trash bin is absolutely infested with flies, and so there'll be at least a couple sneaking bites of your food unless you take it to go which I recommend. The food is incredibly good, if you couldn't tell already. I've searched far and wide for a benedict that had this flavor profile, a bit of a kick with the spices but a rich enough taste that it doesn't overshadow everything else, and a little acidity to cut through the fat. Masterpiece. You will not regret eating this food. read more

This place was right next-door Airbnb so it was nice to come here and get an açai bowl for breakfast. The bowls were $13 each for a large and there was a pretty nice serving loaded toppings of bananas, granola, blueberry strawberries, peanut butter, and goji berries. I thought it was pretty funny the condensed milk costing $1 million but I wasn't sure how to get condensed milk without risking paying $1 million. Overall is really cool especially with it being right on the beach almost and will definitely come here for breakfast before we leave San Diego back to home. read more

The food is deliciously unexpected and better than you'd get at a sit-down restaurant. The burrito was packed with eggs, potatoes, sausage, cheese and came with a side of salsa. The eggs Benedict plate came with spinach, peppers, avocado, a side of roasted potatoes which were perfectly cooked, and a green crema. The chef/owner came out and checked on us, and our food came out quickly. Don't let the location fool you. The airstream is parked in a motel parking lot, and there's a patio in front of it with umbrellas, tables, and about 15 stools. You get a nice breeze from Ocean Beach. read more

We stayed in the hotel in the same parking lot so we thought we'd try this place out and it was good. My friend got the açaí bowl (pictured) and really enjoyed it. I will say their online menu is not correct they carry less than what is on there. It's a smaller menu but good selection. I got a side of sausage and toast and they were good. 5/5 - Awesome Brunch in a Cool Airstream! If you're in Ocean Beach, Benedict's is the spot. It's run out of a sleek Airstream, giving it a fun, laid-back vibe that fits the area perfectly. We had the Traditional Eggs Benedict and the Breakfast Sandwich, and both hit the spot: * Eggs Benedict: Two poached eggs and Canadian bacon on a garlic-toasted English muffin, covered in creamy hollandaise. We went with the home-style potatoes--crispy and so good. * Breakfast Sandwich: A fluffy garlic butter brioche packed with scrambled eggs and melted cheddar. You can add bacon, sausage, or veggies. We stuck with the potatoes again, and they were perfect. The staff was super kind and welcoming, which made everything even better. Stayed at the Ocean Villa Inn in OB. Just a one nighter. Getting ready to leave and I was thinking about what to get for breakfast. Saw there was a little line for Benedict's which is right out front. Kiosk ordering, went for the breakfast sandwich with bacon and sausage. If I could curse like I normally do with my friends, y'all would hear it all, but that was the best damn breakfast sandwich I've ever had. From the Texas toast to all the scrambled contents and the creaminess of the avocado, absolutely killed it on every level. The side of the potatoes and both the hot sauce and the green sauce were all fire. It's a lot of food. only ate half and I'm stuffed. Well done. read more
