My family and I have been coming here for several years. Food is consistently great. Service makes you feel special. Ambiance is always clean and nice. If I had a poor grade it would be with the mix drinks. The drinks I've ordered don't have any kick to them. It tastes like icees at the corner store. How far Benihana has fallen is almost beyond words. They have to be living off of their name at this point. Pretty soon, that'll be gone, too. We made reservations for 5 and we were seated on time. The host was friendly, as was our server. This place needs a remodel badly. I swear Benihana has not changed their decor in over 20 years. The flooring needs replacing. I will say the vent hoods were shining and that was it. Even the serving tray our server used appeared to be partially melted! Our adult beverages were so watered down, I wished I had ordered beer or wine. Who uses regular ice in an old fashioned that costs 15 bucks! I had a cosmopolitan that tasted like watered down syrup. Someone in our group ordered a lemonade, which was literally water and a hint of lemon. We noticed another patron had what appeared to be real lemonade. We had to ask our server to fix the drink she knew was wrong when she brought it. She admitted the mix needed to be replaced. The food is meh! I mean, for over 30 bucks an entree, the food should be good. My chicken was dry. My vegetables tasted burned despite them not being burnt. The fried rice was so bland. The food was so bad that we took no leftovers home. Our cook for the evening didn't really interact with us at all. No show except a 2 second choo choo. Then somehow, we were missing an order of white rice. Our server was not around, and the host helped us instead. He was just checking to see if a table was ready but offered to get the rice himself. Our total bill was over 315 bucks after tip for five of us. One of which was a child that had just a side of fried rice. At that price point, we could have went to a much nicer restaurant with better food and service. There are several non chain hibachi style places you can go to with much better quality. read more

I mean the health department should be contacted immediately.Being an ex manager of Benihana I would never in my life have a Togo cashier make rice 15 mins before "finding a chef" to prepare the actually meat .So when I brung it to her attention that the rice has been sitting and is no longer hot she literally dumps the rice in front of me back in the container.No the next guest are about to have cold stale rice .Mind u I asked for new rice because that rice was sitting .for 15 mins . I've been going to this place for over a decade and it's always been great. My family enjoys ordering the lunch boat and came here regularly - at one point on a weekly basis. In recent years, we would get their gift cards during promotions like Christmas. This year, I picked up some gift cards and now I'm not sure I'd do it ever again. There's no way to check your balance online (you have to email someone who responds sometimes) and no functionality to order online with a gift card. These two issues are not this location's fault. However this location would always give me a hard time saying they don't take phone orders, but after I mentioned the gift card, they reluctantly would take down my gift card numbers. Today however they said to order online, and that they can only take phone orders under $20. They said if I insisted on paying with gift card, I would have to come in to place the order and wait for the food (which usually takes 30-45 minutes) to come out. For someone hoping to grab food to take home on a lunch break, that's a prohibitively unfriendly policy and I do not see myself buying gift cards anymore. After I spend all the gift cards, I don't know if I will be coming back. Rather unfortunate that a place I grew up with won't take payment over the phone anymore. I recognize that there are a lot of no-shows for phone orders, so I'm fine with providing payment method over phone, but to not take payment over the phone WHILE not taking gift card over the online portal is ridiculous. read more
