    Vodka Grandma Slice
    Megan C.

Grandma's pizza was AMAZING. My friends and I got a few slices after a night out, and it was the perfect ending to the night. The hot honey pepperoni was so flavorful, and the buffalo chicken pizza was loaded. The vodka pizza was also a classic. The service was very quick for a Saturday, and it wasn't too expensive. On a Saturday night it was lively with good vibes. Don't sleep on Grandma!

Cheese slice was thin and crispy but Oddly lacked flavor. The ratio of cheese and sauce was good but it was lacking.

Grandma's One Excellent Cheese Slice - Perfect combo of NYC style crust, sauce and cheese!

Was heading for my go-to inexpensive 5-star slice also on Bleecker when Grandma's One caught my eye. On sight the classic cheese slice looked great, so went for the 2 Slice and Soda Special for $7.50 after tax. Glad I did! Grandma's One, with more seating, was also slightly more expensive (a matter of a little change) than Percy's, but it was equally delicious - a perfect combo of NYC style crust, sauce and cheese! [Noted it may cost even less for students who get some form of discount.] Definitely would recommend Grandma's One, especially if Percy's is unavailable!

It was good. Nice NY-style pizza done right. I would return if I were in the area. We decided to walk from Washington Square to downtown and were looking for a place to eat, and this place caught our interest. We got 2 Sicilian pizza slices with different toppings and were delighted with the pizzas we ate. They were delicious, and the service was excellent as well. I recommend this place. It has some lovely decorations and is very clean. We left as two satisfied customers.

This pizza is fine. Their grandma slices are better than their regular slices. The crust on the regular slice was too crunchy for me. It's good in a pinch but not somewhere I'd take a tourist.

I got a pepperoni slice and it came out to $5. Crunchy, salty, flavorful. Good NYC slice.

Grandma's One Pizza is a pretty good Village pizza place catering to solo diners. Really a 3.5 for me.

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
