I was going to purchase the store brand soup in the deli section when I came across this new brand. There was a promo of BOGO. The price was not listed. The brand was Blount Clam Shack, all the way from the east coast to the west coast (Massachusetts to California) There were only two kinds of soup available - gumbo and New England clam chowder. Okay, why not go for the promo? It doesn't hurt to taste the soup. Drawback? The gumbo is high in sodium (2320 mg if one eats all 24 ounces [3 servings] of it at once). Thirdly, I had some of the gumbo soup with a piece of garlic French bread last night for dinner. The soup was delicious and tasty. This afternoon I had another serving of the soup for lunch. The seasonings must have settled in the soup because it tasted better as leftover. The clam chowder soup is even higher in sodium, so I will put it aside for a few days before eating it. Finally, will I buy it again? Might, then might not. It's pricey like everything else in the deli section.

But the kind counter worker helped me thru it. Our meals were great! G ordered the Wunderkind Salad with Tuna Salad. The counter worker said it was the healthiest salad in town . G said it was one of the best salads ever. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of tomato soup (finally). And I loved it -- thick, rich, and tasty. But next time... a cup of soup and a mini sandwich.

I'm driving and on a work call but all I'm thinking about is my Clam Chowder. Mmmm... Freshly shucked clams with oyster crackers! Give it to me now! I have a parking spot right in front and I'm scanning the soup board. There's no clam chowder listed? I approach the counter and ask the woman about Clam Chowder. A guy wearing a Red Sox Hat said to me, we only clam chowder on Thursday. We have Corn Chowder today. The woman behind the counter shakes her head in agreement. It's very good! I agree with them, I grab my corn chowder and head to a Tesla charging station in Rhode Island. Once I plug in the Tesla, I open my container of hot soup. The Corn Chowder is good! Very creamy and dreamy. Is it Clam Chowder? No. I kinda feel the same way when the Red Sox lose to the Yankees. So close. So close! Haha

I recently called about an order that was extremely disappointing. The "grilled chicken" was dry and literally about the size of a half dollar, the noodles were stale, and the cabbage slaw appeared to be nothing more than plain, undressed sliced cabbage straight from the package. It was not appetizing, especially for the price. What disappointed me most was the response from management. When I called to express my concerns, the manager made no effort to resolve the issue or offer any form of compensation. Customer service is just as important as the quality of the food, and this experience fell short on both counts. Unfortunately, this was the final straw, and I won't be returning. If you're looking for a fresher, healthier meal, I'd recommend driving a little farther south to Eat Gnarly Market. The food is consistently better, and the quality speaks for itself.

This…read morefamily-run restaurant has only been open about a year, but it already feels like an established part of the local dining scene. A nice space. We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. We selected a very enjoyable $38 bottle and noticed several other bottles at lower price points, along with a wide selection of canned sake--many around $11. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck. Service was warm and attentive, reflecting the pride that often comes with a family-owned business. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, allowing the quality of the food to take center stage. Bristol is fortunate to have Sakuratani. Strong Japanese dining options can be hard to find outside larger cities, and for a restaurant only a year old, they seem to be doing many things right. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu--and their sake offerings. Highly recommended.

Very silky, some crunch, and the dashi sauce was well balanced. We then ordered tonkotsu ramen as our entree, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. After trying numerous ramens, specifically tonkotsu, this rated 2nd under my first favorite place. The creamy, rich broth was balanced, the noodles were bouncy (maybe homemade?), and the toppings were all good! Personally I am not a fan of thick pieces of pork chashu, so just keep that in mind when ordering that meat topping. Otherwise, excellent! Service: it was pretty slow so we got in immediately. Our waiter was very nice and took care of our table promptly. Atmosphere: it's definitely darker in this place, but the atmosphere was cozy and the booths were nice! Overall for me this was a 4.7/5, I would definitely recommend going here and experiencing decent tonkotsu ramen!
