Lobster Roll with Gluten Free Bun
    Mallory W.

My husband and I came here recently for dinner. I was in the mood for a lobster roll, and being gluten intolerant, I was happy to see that they offered gluten free breads and buns on their menu! Plus, I saw good reviews, so I figured it was worth a try. My husband and I both ordered lobster rolls and spicy margaritas. The lobster rolls were $30, and while we got an okay amount of meat, it tasted unseasoned and bland, and we both expected more from it. The margaritas were $15, and I ordered mine with pineapple. It was just pineapple syrup, and unflavored. It wasn't bad, but it was just okay. Both food and drinks just didn't seem to have much effort put into them, and lacked flavor. Our overall experience from the food and the service was just okay. Not bad, not good, but mediocre. The restaurant itself seemed clean, and they had a lot of regulars who clearly loved the place, but we just were expecting more.

Great service, very friendly Staff. The food is very good. Will definitely stop here again next trip.

    Beef tips a la mama

Came for lunch on a very busy Sunday. Our server in the lounge was doing double duty as a bartender and was extremely friendly, funny, polite and professional. My aunt and I started with calamari which was cooked very nicely and flavorful. We both got steak tips a la mama. I found the steak to be cooked nice and with great flavor. It was served on a bed of a very large portion of potatoes, peppers, and onions with lots of paprika. Very Portuguese style. It was also served with some steamed spinach which had very generous garlic. While super tasty, I would had preferred a bit less garlic and oil on the dish. I definitely didn't dislike the dish but would get something else next time. We had grape nut pudding for dessert and was SO good. It was not overly sweet and seemed just right with the balance of custard and grape nuts. It was delicious and an extremely generous portion. The menu was really expansive and diverse. A really great assortment of seafood, meat, chicken dishes, pastas, sandwiches. Truly something for anyone here. They also had not 1 but 2 pages of specials with everything ranging from steak tips, to clam boil, to lasagna. This is a great stop for groups due to the sheer array of options to pick from. The decor inside is very modern and spacious and nicely done. I honestly had not been here since it was a prior establishment and while it has the same "bones" of the old place, they also opened it up and modernized it. Look forward to coming back here sometime again.

Happy place. Whether it's an after work drink or a meet up with friends. Bar area big and comfortable with tables, bar and fireplace. Bartenders are the best. See Jessica. Food is always fresh with specials. Plenty of parking.

I was definitely impressed after coming here for dinner a little while back. Previously it was a really good Italian restaurant called the Countryside restaurant which closed abruptly several years ago. It has much of the same layout as the previous restaurant had. It's mainly American cuisine with some Portuguese food and Italian food selections. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Staff was attentive and courteous. We all agreed we would come back, and I recommend it as well.

    Dried up lobster claws

Food prep is sub par. Dry, skimpy, raw, Even take out is done half ass. Beets not double wrapped. Juice enters main meal's container. Your meal tasted like pickled beets. I complained, but they don't care. Place is going downhill and my money is to important to me when I go out to eat. I want quality. Not getting it here. Do not recommend

The sandwich had turkey, cheese, bacon ( I picked off), greens, and a delicious aioli sauce. I suggested that my husband and I go in and try it a couple months later. It is located in the same plaza as Avenue N in Rumford. The storefront is made up of a glass "garage door" so it is pretty cool and unique inside. Service was prompt and friendly. Hubby tried the Cuban, he loved it, and I, creature of habit, stuck to my turkey panini. Once we ordered, the sandwiches came up faster than I expected. I had to use the bathroom and had to go next door to Avenue N. The owner or manager held the door for me, and was very friendly. Everyone that we have met there is friendly. If you want a good sandwich you won't be disappointed!

Just a sandwich in regular size bread pressed as a panini, and it was $12!!! I had no idea until I had to sign for it! The special board didn't have a price and all the other sandwiches were around $8 so I thought it would be the same. Even worse, one bite in and I was disgusted. The chicken was not cooked well and had that rubbery texture where you have to really pull with your teeth to break it. I threw it away after 2 bites and I'm gagging thinking of it. This could be a one off, but I'm really bummed about wasting $12 on my one spend day of the week! I have some other little gripes that honestly bring down my old rating too. We bought some stuff from the shop, which is still really cute and offers a lot of local (though very upcharged) stuff. And when we checked out, there's a line for tip! Everyone feels weird leaving a tip line blank, so why is it there! Just to make us feel awkward?!? All they offer to drink is hot coffee or cold brew, everything else is a deli or store or serve yourself food so why even tipping! Just made me and my friend awkward leaving that line blank, made us feel rude but why would we tip for only buying grocery items.

I was going to purchase the store brand soup in the deli section when I came across this new brand. There was a promo of BOGO. The price was not listed. The brand was Blount Clam Shack, all the way from the east coast to the west coast (Massachusetts to California) There were only two kinds of soup available - gumbo and New England clam chowder. Okay, why not go for the promo? It doesn't hurt to taste the soup. Drawback? The gumbo is high in sodium (2320 mg if one eats all 24 ounces [3 servings] of it at once). Thirdly, I had some of the gumbo soup with a piece of garlic French bread last night for dinner. The soup was delicious and tasty. This afternoon I had another serving of the soup for lunch. The seasonings must have settled in the soup because it tasted better as leftover. The clam chowder soup is even higher in sodium, so I will put it aside for a few days before eating it. Finally, will I buy it again? Might, then might not. It's pricey like everything else in the deli section.

Just a little a this 'n that" (Pete Seeger) My final review of 2022 will describe the worst customer service we encountered all year. We had an errand to run in Sturbridge and figured we'd include a lunch stop in town. The Yelp app brought us to Soup to Nuts. #1) I love soup and #2) it's located inside the Sturbridge Marketplace, so we figured we'd do some shopping and browsing too. When we approached Soup to Nuts we saw a sign that said they opened at 11:00. The front door had another sign that said they opened at 12:00. Since the door was locked, and it was about 11:30, we figured we'd check out the Sturbridge Flea Market and come back. At 12:02 their front door was unlocked, and the sign announcing the 12:00 opening was gone. As we entered the restaurant, we were "greeted" by four words spoken (or more accurately snarled) in a very gruff and rude manner - "we're not open yet". Tone of voice matters, and I will look you straight in the eye and put my hand on a stack of bibles and tell you his tone was beligerant and angry (to the point of aggressive). It was beyond rude. It was shocking. So we turned around, left and never came back. Happy New Year ya filthy animal.

Small lot parking and even smaller restaurant, there are a handful of tables both regular and bar height and a few bar seats. Very cozy and bright and service very friendly. It did take a bit longer than we were expecting for our food to come out. But that 24 hour fermented dough is out of this world - we had the pepperoni, hot honey ricotta pizza and it's hands down one of the best pies I've had - perfect chew on that crispy crust and all of the flavors worked well together. We also ordered the chicken parm and the smoked mozzarella and prosciutto. It would've been helpful if the smoked mozzarella and prosciutto stated on the menu it was a ravioli - the mister enjoyed it but ravioli isn't his first choice for pasta. As for me, my chicken parm was very good BUT I had to get the pizza marinara sauce as the sauce that comes with this dish is bolognese since I can't do red meat. They were very accommodating to give me that option but I don't think it's as flavorful as the mister said his bolognese had a much richer flavor. Drinks were good but strong! Truly, we did enjoy our meals and if for nothing else - I'd order pizzas over and over again from here. Don't sleep on this spot for pizza - it's pretty darn good!
