I'm looking for healthy portions, hot food, lots of choices and quick service. We were coming back from visiting a hospitalized friend in Boston and wanted a hearty lunch. This Italian restaurant is right off Route 9 across from Walmart. Bread came immediately, followed by a garden salad. I had the 4 cheese ravioli and my love had spaghetti and two good sized meatballs. Extra bread came fast along with cheese. Our meals were generous portions and well presented. Oh, what makes a good meal? The server. Scotty is what diners should always get: fast attentive service. This man is outstanding. I'll bet he puts on 10,000 steps a day or more. I have been ordering from Bertuccis for over 25 years. I love the consistency, and knowing my craving for delicious pizza & wings will be met every single time. My go to is the Tuscan baked chicken wings... cooked moist with a light crispy finish and marinated in lemon & rosemary with a spicy kick. And the gluten free cauliflower crust Pucillo pizza. Its loaded with pepperoni, sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, house-made tomato sauce, Pecorino Romano, and mozzarella cheese... with the best crispy thin crust that feels like an additional snack at the end. I couldn't give them a 1 be ause generally I like their bread! Dont sit at the bar at the feamingham location. The restraunt is short staffed and the bar takes the brunt of the staffing issue. You are lucky if you get service let alone a bar tender. You feel ignored but the poor servers are overwhelmed trying to serve tables. They must be low on dishwashers becasue they ran out of wine glasses. I didn't get a roll until after I finished my meal. I asked several times. I was stairing at two empty dirty wine glasses at the bar while I was drinking out of a short glass cup. The resteraunt was not even 3/4's full with customers. So they definitely were short on staff. They can only do so much in the time that the majority of people come. They should fix this. In the meantime, don't sit at the bar or in the bar section. They do more of a take out business than eat in. I've mostly done takeout, but recently started eating in. I chose the bar area - service is amazingly quick and food - considering the bartender is also working on the rest of the restaurant. They have a pizza deal on Monday and Tuesday nights. The food is spectacular! The wait staff (especially Sarah) are wonderful. You would not guess this is a chain. I keep coming back for the Shrimp Rossini. Just the right amount of spicy. The restaurant was better than I expected and on par with the Olive Garden in value. The restaurant is on a busy road with a large parking lot. The restaurant still looks good with the open kitchen. Service here is excellent. The restaurant is known for their brick oven pizza but I ordered the rigatoni abruzzi. The mild spicy sauce and Italian sausage gives it a lot of flavor. Had been craving Bertucci's pizza and rolls for awhile but both locations in my area have permanently closed. Made the 1 hour trek to Framingham, and we had a really good experience. Scott was our server and he was awesome - reminded me of an old school Federal Hill waiter. He took our order quickly (Shrimp Rossini and the Sporkie), brought us more warm rolls, and our drinks (beer and a berry lemonade cocktail) & food arrived in a timely fashion. Wow. We showed up on a Friday night to a crowded house. We opened the door and waited about 20 mins for a table. Not too bad. We then were seated and the bread rolls were delectable. I got a water because I am a humble man. We then asked our waiter Daniel to take a picture for the group and he really put in the effort! He is clearly well trained and a joy to have in the workplace. The Italian patas paired with the cheese made a incredible Mac and cheese. My compliments to the chef who created this art. We travelled 45 miles (over an hour) this evening specifically to go to the Framingham Bertucci's since all the locations in our area have sadly closed. Scott really lives up to his reputation and all the rave reviews. He is the best, most efficient server ever. I met a former colleague for dinner. The gentleman who seated us was also our server. While taking us to our table, his pants kept falling and he kept pulling them up. I definitely did not need to keep seeing his underwear. Our server then asked if we were on a first date. That's a very odd and inappropriate question, in my opinion. He took our orders, brought rolls and oil, and 30 seconds after delivering our salads, he brought our dinners. That way they could sit there and get cold. While we were eating our salads, he started clearing the table. He took away our bread dishes, the oil, and was about to take the remaining rolls when I asked him to leave them. He kept coming over every few minutes to check on things. I appreciate one check-in, but it was getting really annoying with the frequency. We'd be in the middle of a conversation, he'd interrupt, and we'd lose our train of thought. We were in the middle of eating our meals when he asked if we wanted dessert, and I told him we were still eating our dinners. Then he brought the check, followed 2 minutes later by a request to pay because he was leaving. He did say we could stay and talk as long as we wanted, but apologetically asked if we could pay, which we did. Maybe this particular server needs more training. Lunch for two on a Friday in August. It has been quite a while since we've eaten at Bertucci's and it looks like we need to put this spot back on the list. Our server, Scott, was amazing. Prompt, attentive but not smothering and anticipated our every request. He is a gem. I had the lunch rigatoni with chicken and broccoli- it was a large portion and really tasty. Oh my gosh I don't even know where to start. Bertuccis had high exceeded my expectations. Daniel should most definitely get a raise and was Super duper, duper nice, friendly, and hospitable. Always one of my favorite restaurants. A friend from Calabria, Italy told me it's is the closest cuisine to that found in Italy. I've known waiter Scott for many years from the restaurants that my family and I had eaten in the area and where he worked. We never asked for anyone but him to serve us. Food: Tonight we ordered a large vegetable pizza. I am a senior and have been eating pizza all my life. I have never had such a tasteless, greasy pizza in my life. The veggies, except for the black olives added nothing to the taste. They all tasted the same...tasteless. I live in Natick and will never return. The only reason I ate 2 slices is because I was very hungry after not eating since early morning. No photos would not help in describing the tasting experience. The previous two experiences with takeout were terrible but today's experience was by far the worst. For $40, we received burnt eggplant on top of cardboard crust, yellowed broccoli on burnt crust, and ice cold rolls. Store bought Elio's cafeteria pizza would have tasted better.
