By far the best burgers in town are at "Best Burger!" I love their fries as well! I eat them with black pepper sprinkled all over my batch and dipped in ketchup. Try it! "Best" is subjective, but "Pretty Good Burger" would not have been a good name I guess. The Burgers are fine - all natural Angus beef in half pound patties. Standard toppings. High prices. A cheeseburger, order of sweet potato fries and small soda is $14. Generous serving of fries but still pricey. On the plus side they have a big menu with sandwiches, dogs, fish n chips... etc. Its better than chain fast food - if you can afford it. At this price point I'll stick with The Counter who have a way better selection of toppings and an overall better quality. read more

This burger joint has earned it's name! Best Burger offers good old fashioned burger joint burgers in a fantastically kid-friendly environment. It's family owned and operated and there's even a space for wiggly kids to write on the chalkboard and hang out. They have shakes, great fries and salads and veggie burgers for the more health-minded customers. Our family loves this place and the prices are extremely reasonable. Great place and great food! I went to eat with my wife, and she wasnt feeling the place. I've ate there before and had'nt had a bad experience. Before my order was called up my wife noticed the cashier picking at the fries from my order. There was a young person leaning on the wall near where the burgers are cooked. I came here twice . First time we tried the burger the man seems like the owner, he was very nice and greeted customers very friendly, then I came back second time to order the grill hot dogs on buns . There were two workers one lady and other is a cook. They both checked out and cooking as same time without wearing gloves. I saw they both counted money , hold objects touch the foods with out wash hands in between. I could had took pictures but I said that's enough. I came up pick up my order ended up he took by mistake I ordered one hotdog n drink but he charged me two hotdog and forgot my drink. I have to admit maybe I am not a burger expert as I thought that they only served fresh burgers here. That would be to their credit as the meat tastes nice and fresh to me. I have been eating here off and on for several years and I like that its predictable. A nice juicy burger that simply tastes great! Although its often busy its not so busy that I find I have to wait long to be helped and the staff give me the impression that my business is appreciated. Found this hidden spot in a strip mall on our way back from the city. Not much to look at, but clean, and the menu looked good! Super friendly service, cheap prices (fed our family of 4 with sides and drinks for $40!) and their food was delicious! Generous sizes on the charbroiled burgers and the fries/onion rings too! After a long day hiking, it hit the spot and my whole family left completely stuffed, in a good way....will definitely be going back! read more

Ok burgers-overcooked, and dry but good quality toppers. Garlic fries were the bomb. The other staff was friendlier than the guy manning the register. I always get the turkey burger and they actually don't dry it out like most places. There menu includes much more than just burgers, so I suggest you check it out. I really like the burgers here and used to go every week but I got tired of the lack of seating due to all the High School kids that pile in and take up seating while eating food from the Chinese place next door. I had just counted 11 kids who were not paying customers, when 4 more bounced in and took up a booth with chips and soda from somewhere else. My lunch hour is from 12-1 when all the kids show up so don't go anymore. It's a shame they tolerate this because I really like this place otherwise, but I guess they don't mind losing out on 16 paying customers to accommodate non-paying kids? read more

Best Burger is a great local fast food burger joint owned by a friendly family, who make some damn tasty greasy burgers, fries and hot dogs. It's some very delicious and satisfying food if you aren't on a diet... I used to eat their wonderful hot dogs all the time when I was a kid, but now I usually have their great mushroom burgers and fries. Their fries are awesome! If you want something flavorful to fill up your stomach when you are in the area, make sure to stop by Best Burger... I always leave wishing I could eat more. read more

Today was my very first time in this establishment and let me say, I do not understand why they are still in business. My burger wasn't terrible...it was, alright, I guess. My fries were oily and taste like they had been in the freezer for months. And then to top it off, the customer service was a ship wreck. How can you have mediocre food AND bad service? At least try to be good at something, I mean, come on. A very irritated looking woman took my order and I asked her if she was one of the owners to which she replied, "yes". I saw her making a burger after she had taken my money and I asked her very politely if she had washed her hands? Do you know what she said??? She was like, "there's a sink right there!" In such a btchy way... I told her that I see that the sink is there but my question was whether she used it or not. Then I got the, "I'm going to drop your buns on the ground stare" lol. After I'd left, I realized that she never gave me a receipt and I needed it because my job was buying me lunch today. So I went back to ask for one. Oh boy... Basically she didn't reprint one. She wrote my total down and handed it to me without even looking me in the eyes. Rude! I thanked her with a smile, a real smile, and I told her that I needed it because My job was buying me lunch today because I'm such an outstanding employee :) I hope she got the message. CONCLUSION: I really don't know what her problem was but she should really sit down with a professional and figure out what her issues are because if she keeps up the bad attitude then she'll probably find herself out of business. read more

I joined Yelp to review Best Burger! The place isn't fancy and may not be gourmet, but I love it! I typically get a turkey burger with cheese - no onions and they always come out tasting great. I am also partial to the half rapped paper delivery, but think the burgers are especially tasty and juicy. I know that many folks say Phyllis' is the place in San Rafael for a burger, but I opt for Best Burger every time. They are closed on Sunday though which seems to account for about 50% of the time I am in the neighborhood, but really good.
