Terrible customer service. Marlon treated me like I was a disposal moron. I had recently bought a Surface Go online. The Best Buy app bundles the accessories needed or suggested. These options default to checkbox system that automatically puts items in your cart. So, I let it default to add Geek Squad/virus protection, stylus, Microsoft Office, and there was a keyboard that was checked. Seemed odd. I even stopped at Geek Squad counter and he could not give me more info. I got home to find Best Buy app erroneously let the Surface Go is incompatible with the already checked Surface Pro. I have been trying to call Best Buy with a few questions before I bother driving there, and the automated answering system tells me to "stay on the line for a quick survey". I would love to, but a PERSON needs to pick up the phone first! Calling puts you in an endless loop of "please stay on the line". What kind of customer service is it when there is NO service. Horrible-corporate-Delivery After spending over $5K on new appliances. It took three delivery attempts to four appliances to be delivered After the first delivery, a Saturday, I was told a system glitch caused the error and that the remainder of by delivery would be made on Tuesday. When I went on-line, to view my order. The other 3 items were shown as back ordered. A different status from what was posted in my order four hours earlier. I called on Monday to confirm that the remainder of my order would be delivered on Tuesday, even though the website showed my items were "back ordered". After speaking to a representative, they told me it was not back ordered and the remainder would be delivered the next day, on Tuesday. I additionally called the local store and they opened up an "escalation". I received a call back from my escalation manager, who informed me that he would work to ensure my remaining item would be delivered and would be calling me back to confirm the delivery and discuss compensation On Tuesday, the day my remaining three items were to be delivered. The delivery came and two items were delivered, and one remaining item, was once again missing. I promptly called my escalation "manager" and informed him of what occurred. He told me he would call me back The next day, Wednesday, I did receive call back with another delivery date. The "manager" informed me he would call me to confirm the time on Thursday for the remaining item that would be delivered on Friday Thursday comes and I did not recieve a call back form my escalation "manager". I did, however, receive a call back form someone else confirming the delivery on Friday and that my "manager" would be calling me to confirm delivery and discuss compensation. On Friday, my final item was delivered. The following Monday is when I received a call from this so called "manager" confirming if all my items had been delivered. I did confirm that and he proceeded to offer me a $100 gift card. I informed him that this was unacceptable for the inconvenience missing work for 2 days and having to reschedule a plumber twice due to their errors (BTW-it's $150 for canceling a plumbing appointment). This "manager" then proceed to tell me that he can only offer $50 per missed delivery. I asked to speak to his manager and he tells me he is the manager. Being a director of Customer Service, I know these tactic's all too well. Including him proceeding to pass me onto his peer who also stated he was the manager. In the end I was referred to corporate, which as I am in customer service, may or may not result in anything. That is a longer process to get through. But I will continue to pursue fair and equitable compensation, as I will also take to social media as an avenue to make more consumers aware of the pathetic excuse for customer service that Best buy is passing off. PS. I also find it interesting that I was surveyed for my fist tow interactions with Best buy, but never received another survey once I had an escalation "manager' assigned. This is the worst store probably in the country, where there is high turnover and worst customer service. They'll take your money, sell you everything and then forget about you. I bought $15K to $20K worth of stuff 4 years ago and got screwed so bad. Made 100 calls and same number of emails and called customer service the worst response ever. And I did not learn my lessons and bought $12K worth of stuff yesterday and I'm already feeling like I'm talking to brick wall, the employees, supervisor or the GM does not give a shit about you. Today I went to return few things and change some stuff, and the reply I got we will do it later after your install is completed. I'm worried if I'm going to have same problems like last time. I bought a $1000 rack and please see what kind of work they did with the wiring, see attached picture, and even after 100 calls, email they did not come to fix it, and today they said they will waive a $100 fee to rewire it. I spoke with the Geek Squad and asked for help picking up a package at a UPS center rather than the store location so that I could have my computer before moving to another country and they were not only not helpful given the unique situation - they were down right rude!! My husband made the biggest mistake ever and tossed the top part of a box to a very expensive (to us) item after 3 days. Once we opened the bottom of the box the next day we found the item was broken. I returned it and I knew there would be a problem, how did the store know that I didn't break it. I thought we were going to have to eat the purchase but after talking with Matilda, Luis and Ben we were able to solve the problem. Braintree Best Buy is worthy of "Yay, I'm a fan". This store is quite busy, and may not have as many staff members as I would like (barely anyone on the floor), but all the Best Buy's sort of have that issue. On the upside, parking here isn't too difficult, the store is vast and spacious, and the checkout area moves fast and efficiently. Customer service area also seemed to be less crowded than a busy store like this would suggest. Anyway, I don't visit Best Buy too often, but when I do, I always use some sort of coupon or go during a sale, and know exactly what I want. Coming here, I was only looking for an exclusive iPhone case, a Lifeproof one, that was on sale. Ever since, I used to buy those cheap iPhone cases but was hoping to get a better looking one and more reliable one, that was only available in store at Best Buy. So I went to the iPhone section, and not surprisingly, it was in shambles. Ironically, it took me ten minutes to find the exact one for my iPhone that was also the one on sale. I did let them know, and they said they'd "re-organize" it. Also, stopped in the computer section where the organization was much more intact. By the way, during the month of December, you can't go wrong with looking at new computers. The deals are just so great, even for expensive computers. Overall, other Best Buy stores are less crowded, more organized, and at other stores I have been offered help finding items (as some of the stores have different setups, which I don't understand why at all!). 4 stars. read more

My computer wasn't finding my wifi network anymore so it was time to upgrade. Went in, told my tale to Gordon and was very impressed with his help. He was very knowledgeable, provided multiple solutions including discussing more and less expensive options and was not pushy at all. I brought pictures of my old equipment as this is not my area of expertise and although he did laugh at how old my equipment was, he did not make me feel dumb at all for coming in and asking for advice. Yes, they have good service at this BestBuy but god it's such a cluster Fawk getting in and out of this place. Factor in how much additional traffic there is during the silly season and I'll go to the BestBuy in Plymouth every time. They NEVER should have put this place so close to Route 3 and when they did they should have expanded the road by at least two lanes on each side of the road. The horrible traffic situation causes this review to lose 2 stars. Summary: The traffic difficulties overcome the good service. "Hey! I just met you. And this is crazy. But I'm a customer. So help me maybe?" I came in on a Saturday afternoon to get a new laptop - a Macbook Air to be precise. Sick of schlepping my Macbook Pro back and forth to the office, I needed something lightweight and reliable for commuting. Knowing the price tag associated with it, it turned out that Best Buy had it cheaper than what was offered at the Apple store. Sold. Because of the high price tag, I went to the store as if I was ripping off a bandaid. Seriously. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I needed. I went into the store, walked over to the table of Apple products. And waited. But the bizarre thing was that for a Saturday afternoon, the store was practically empty. There were dozens of parking spots available in front of the store which is practically unheard of on most Saturdays. And waited. While the Apple associate compared Instagram photos with another customer. Three other associates huddled near the closest HDTV watching YouTube videos at a practically deafening volume. All while I stood at the table with my wallet out of my purse ready to spend money. For over 7 minutes. (How do I know? Because I watched the clock on my phone. It wasn't until I hunted down another employee did I finally get the service I needed/wanted. Anyway, as far as checking out, it was a very easy procedure. Best Buy offers a very competitive interest free financing deal better than Apple's (if you are a returning Barclay's customer). I didn't have my Best Buy card on me, but it took all of a minute to look up my account with my driver's license. The pros are that the store has a wide variety of products to try and for Apple products, they can sometimes be cheaper than what you may find at the Apple store. The cons are that the sales staff can be a little absentminded and not always attentive to customers as evident in this recent experience. Also, if you are like me that can't handle loud noises, this probably isn't the place for you. I would recommend going as close to closing time as possible if necessary. read more

For some products, I like to touch and feel before buying--and also sometimes a helpful sales person can make all the difference in making the right decision. For this reason I am actually willing to pay more at a retail store than online. But Best Buy prices are getting to be too high compared with the 'Net and especially compared with the service it offers. First, the positive: Even though it was a busy day, at this visit, a very knowledgeable sales person answered all my questions about the GPS units on sale and helped me quickly narrow my choice to the model which is right for me. This particular guy was great--he really knew his stuff, and he had the time to talk to me. But the price was way out of whack. I paid $140 for a Garmin GPS 255W which is available on the Internet for $120 at several different sites, with free shipping. I'd be willing to pay that premium in a mom & pop store, where I'm greeted immediately with a smile and "how can I help you, ma'am?" But in the bustling impersonal atmosphere of a big box store, where I had to work to track down help (even though he was great when I got him), that's too much of a premium. In a big box, I'm only willing to pay another $5 or $10 for a product like this--not $20 more. I should have been tipped off to the price problem by the fact that the item has a 15% "restocking fee" if you return it. They don't want you to get it home and return it as soon as you realize you could get it cheaper online. Oh, and to add insult to injury, a security guard checks every receipt on the way out. If I'm going to be treated like a potential thief, I want a cheap, cheap price. The price I am willing to pay goes down proportionally for every annoying indignity you make me suffer. Came here for a new stove and ended up buying a stove, fridge and microwave. The pricing was a little pricey but when i bought all three, it came with a package discount which was a plus! On top of that discount, i had a couple 10% off coupons for a single item. I found a couple of these coupons when i moved, they send coupons to new movers. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure i got the best discount i could get with all the coupons and package deal. Delivery was a breeze, even these guys were very friendly! This Best Buy is always busy, but you can usually get help if you are patient. The staff is friendly & willing to help you, but if it super busy in the store be prepared to feel rushed. They are competitive with all the other electronic retailers out there, sometimes more expensive, sometimes less. However they will always try to sell you their own extended warranty. Just be strong and say you're not interested if that is the case. The store in general is clean & well maintained. I just hate the check-out process, the registers are set up weird and when you leave the store, I feel like we are in BJ's Wholesale or Costco, where they do random receipt checks. read more

I told him I was shopping and no I didn't need help & I began to walk in. He began yelling "don't enter MY store until I'm done!" Found a good "open box" deal on a printer. These home printers only last about 2 years anyway so when you can get them at a cheap price it softens the blow when they start to malfunction in one way or another. I purchased this a few weeks ago and it works fine. I have no complaints. The sales people were helpful in offering the suggestion on this model so it was a good choice for me. I just recently purchased a new car. It came with the factory radio (seems like the previous owner has something uninstalled before selling it). Previously I had a 00' Jetta with a cassette deck and settled with purchasing one of those 15 dollar cassette adapters. It was always a pain in the ass to try to charge my phone and listen to music through a constantly failing adapter. I use GPS on my phone and never listen to the radio, paired with a 2 hour round trip commute to work and traveling for work it was important that i could charge my phone and be able to listen to my music. I came in best buy yesterday to inquire about a installation. I talked to Edward and he gave me all the information I needed (in a way I could understand) and gave me a quote. It was reasonable and I did end up shopping around a bit but eventually settled on going through BB. Turns out I was able to get the desk price matched and ended up saving a decent amount of change. I made an appointment last night forgetting to check if they even had all the parts in stock, I came in today about 20 minutes before my appointment and was able to purchase and have the deck installed in under 2 hours. Terrible customer service at best buy and geek squad. No one knows what is going on in the system, and you cannot speak to anyone in the store. I bought a new computer and arranged for the geek squad to set it up and transfer the data from my old computer. Made an appointment, and it was confirmed. Then I get an email that the appointment was cancelled. Cannot speak to anyone in Braintree, and the number I call had no idea why it was cancelled and could not communicate with Braintree people. Was told the only next appointment was the next day. I went into Braintree store, and they also had not idea why it was cancelled, but said there was an appointment available later that same day. They had not idea why the other person said there were no appointments available. Terrible attitude throughout. No one cared that they did not know what was going on, or that different parts of their system did not communicate. No one had interest in solving the problem, and certainly no interest in my difficulties. read more

This Best Buy is great. Good selection, moderate pricing, lots of staff on hand. Finding a staff member that is willing to help you, however, is kind of hit or miss. I feel like, more often than not, the staff is rushing around appearing busy and it can be frustrating for a customer who's not very technologically advanced and needs to ask some questions. Despite that, the minority of helpful associates make it worth the frustration. Once I manage to track someone down, my experience gets a hell of a lot better. The employees that aren't too busy looking important are honest, candid, and know their stuff! They don't try to sell you products. They help you find what you need and make recommendations and are, overall, pretty fabulous. I went to the Best Buy in Braintree Ma. on August 4th and purchased a refrigerator and a dishwasher for my kitchen rehab. I was told by the salesman that both appliances would be delivered to my house on September 1st. About 1 week later I got an Email saying that the dishwasher would be delayed till October 16. I needed the appliances to arrive on the date that I was told as I have a schedule that needed to be met. I cancelled the order for the dishwasher and got an Email confirming that. I subsequently got an Email confirming the delivery of my refrigerator on September 1st and that I would get a reminder Email the night before. Well I never got the Email and when the delivery didn't happen I called the national Best Buy number and was told that they didn't have me scheduled for a delivery. I was told that they would schedule it for the next day(9/2) between the same hours (7am-1pm). Well they didn't come again and the person that I talked to said that they couldn't schedule the delivery and that someone from the warehouse would call me in the next 24 hours to schedule it. I wasted 2 vacation days from work having to get up early on both days and still don't have my refrigerator. After getting the run around by Best Buy I'm left scrambling to find another vendor for my appliances with there being a national backlog of appliances in effect. Don't go through the BS that I went through, shop elsewhere. BTW, both days that I was trying to find out my order status, I could not reach a person at the Braintree Best Buy and was put on hold via their automated answering system and left on hold for so long that I hung up and called the national number. 4 months ago I purchased an xbox one s along with insurance. The customer service rep told me my insurance would allow me to in the future switch out the console for another or something different if I had issues with it. So this past week I started noticing my xbox shutting off and not working properly. Since I had purchased insurance I took it to your Bestbuy in Braintree Massahusetts not only did the manager (Kenny) tell me he will not exchange for something else he told me his xbox has never had any problems. Not sure what his xbox has to do with mine having issues or else why even sell insurance. That wasnt the worst part.. the worst part was that aside from him not helping me his co workers were looking over taking a laugh at the situation. I cant believe he allowed this to happen. All I can do is tell my friends and family about this horrible experience and not allow them to ever shop there or purchase insurance there ever again. Before I left the only thing he did was refund me the $60 I paid for insurance. It was nice when I purchased the insurance but when I actually wanted to use it this is what happened.
