Best Buy,you really suck. Tried to buy a camera the other day. Mid day,mid week,store pretty empty. 3 employees hanging around the camera department as I started to look at options. No one asked if they could help,in fact they first stopped their conversation in an attempt to become invisible. No problem,I'll poke around till I either find what I want ,or until I have comparison questions to narrow down choices. I think I have it,I'm ready to select. Where'd everyone go? I'm so lonely. I start to wander a bit and see if they're doing laundry in the appliance section. nope. Maybe around by the video cameras. Nope nope. Under a display cabinet? Nah,that would be silly... They were just gone. Poofed. Vanished. Vaporized. I decided it had to be the nefarious work of aliens. Yes,I said "nefarious". I became frightened in my alone-ness Fearing next would be an invasion of the Apple People of the Crack Basha's. Who would protect me? The aliens abducted all the staff of Best Buy,so it would just be me. I couldn't possibly stop them all. They would come,snarling their toofless grimaces at me. I would be defenseless. Fearing my life and existance as I know it,I saw only 3 choices. 1)Face them all.Aliens and Apple People of the Crack Basha's.Fight till the end or vaporization. 2)Take what I wanted as there was no one left to stop me. 3)Make a hasty retreat and go elsewhere to purchase a camera. I can't comment on anything except for the returns/exchanges department. We went to return a part for a fridge that we ordered online and there was quite a long line by the customer service department (it was lunchtime). They could have brought a few more personnel over to help. The return itself was pretty pain-free - he scanned the item and returned the funds to my credit card. read more

Best Buy was my first choice of provider when it came time to replace my 2002 big screen television (also bought from Best Buy). Had a great experience from start (the store associate was knowledgeable and efficient) to finish (the Geek Squad members did an outstanding job of removing the old TV, assembling the tv stand and setting up the 55' television. read more

I ordered a lens online and went to the store to pick it up the next day. There was an issue processing the payment and the lens wasn't ready. Tom was incredible. My husband and I were together and we both agreed that you don't find many competent people these days especially in retail unfortunately. He clearly knew what he was doing and acted in a professional and efficient manner. He handled the issue and made sure that we were happy and taken care of. I was truly blown away. 1. In January 2015, I went to trade in my iPhone 5S for a 6 at this location. After carefully looking over the salesperson said that there was a tiny dent (that I couldn't see even after he pointed it out to me) and because of that, my phone was worthless. Those were his actual words. My phone was worthless. I wound up taking my phone to a different Best Buy location a week later. I even pointed out the area that the dent was supposedly in. The sales person showed another sales person, then a manager who all agreed nothing was there and offered me full price trade in towards an iPhone 6. 2. On the above mentioned iPhone 6 that I got, I purchased the Geek Squad warranty for $10.99 a month instead of purchasing the warranty through AT&T or Apple Care. I'm one of those guys that always buys an extended warranty (except on stupid things like software/DVDs). The warranty plan I chose covers broken screen, lost/stolen phones, water damage etc. Well, I cracked my screen fir the first time ever and brought my phone in. I was told I would have to send my phone in and they would mail me a replacement which would take up to 7 days without a phone, or I could pay and have my credit card on file and have them ship me a phone first then I would return my phone. I opted for that option. I was then asked if I knew about their service fee. I said no and was told that I have to pay my deductible which was $149. He then corrected himself and said it wasn't $149, but $199. I asked why it was more expensive to get my phone screen replaced there WITH my warranty than to go ANYWHERE else. He said he didn't know that was there policy. I asked him something else which prompted him to look at his screen and he apologized and told me he was once again wrong and that it would be $249. He asked if I wanted to do it. I told him no because its ridiculously overpriced and gets more expensive everytime he opens his mouth. So finally fed up with other issues I was experiencing with my phone, I took it to the Apple Store. I showed up for my appointment they did a few tests and wound up restoring my phone and told me to take it home and try it out for a few days. I asked what I would do if the problems persist and was told to bring it back and they will swap it out. I asked about the screen, They told me they could replace it for $109 there in store in under 30 min, but to wait to see if they need to swap it out first. I asked about the deductible and was told there is no deductible since its still under warranty. I love Apple. They've always treated me right. As for Best Buy, I would probably never go back. The worst! Sold us broken products. The installer never even bothered to test run the appliances. We have been without a working kitchen now for a month. The installer was supposed to come back and switch out appliances and never bothered to tell us they weren't keeping their appointment. Keep in mind they make you have an 8 hour window. Then they did it a second time. We were scheduled to have the bad appliances removed and have working appliances put in tomorrow FOR THE THIRD TIME. We cleared our eight hour day and just found out Best Buy is canceling again. No one answers the line at the Phoenix location. Word it is they are CLOSING that location down. When you call Best Buy support the customer service rep will share that nobody will answer the phone at the Phoenix location and there is nothing that they can do. Shop anywhere else. Run. Do not buy from Best Buy! They sell broken products and you will have to file a claim like we did for your money! read more

I have shopped at bestbuy on a handful of occasions. Once at this particular store. I have never had genuine customer service experience from this establishment. Every time I shopped here I feel like I am bothering an employee when I ask questions or call in for service status. My last experience was with a camera that had an issue. This issue was covered under the extra plan I purchased. I took the camera in. After 2 weeks I received an automated phone call that my camera was ready for pick-up at the Geek Squad counter. Before leaving the store I did as most do and I checked out the repair. The camera was exactly the same as it was before I gave it to the geek squad. I showed the customer service lady and she said that the paper work shows it was repaired. She said if I was not happy with the repair I could sign the paper work and re-submit the claim. This is when I got furious. I was being asked to sign a paper stating I was happy with the repair and then re-submit the claim that the camera was still broken!! I refused to sign the paper and asked that the camera be re-submitted with out a second claim. During all of this I was never apologized to or offered an expedited service. I had to ask for the camera to be expedited the second time around. I don't believe they expedited the second claim since it still took another 2 weeks for the camera to come in. They camera was repaired the second time but I was out of a camera for a month and never did receive an apology. I have learned my lesson for the last time. I will now purchase my electronics from one place and this place is newegg.com These guys know customer service and have a customer for life. read more

They don't help!!!!! I first went in to get my phone fixed I was told my phone was out of stock !! But I got a box that was supposed to have my new phone in it which was empty! So I called they said the phone is on back order i will get one when they are able to send one out!! So on week 3 i called the rep said that the order was standard so she will switch it! I went here when I dropped my iPhone (tragedy...) and broke the speaker. I could hear my callers, but they couldn't hear me. I went in to Best Buy to see if I could just buy one of those cheap pay-as-you-go phones, because I had some urgent business calls to make, and had planned to be running around town all day. I looked around with a customer service rep, who was in fact friendly. But after some wasted time, we came to the conclusion that they had nothing to offer me. In short, I have no problem with the customer service at this location. But I wish such a big chain would not forget to supply their stores with the simple/affordable options. This could be my old fashioned preference, but if I want to by a non-color screen flip phone, I'd hope I could find it at one of the biggest electronic stores in the nation. read more

Shop here often and am generally happy with the service. This last trip was just outstanding. For a cheap open box sound bar I got a level of customer service that went far beyond expectations. Real qualified manager if u don't know the policies. Have had bad experiences multiple times at this location maybe why they have such bad ratings. For me and my family this is the best store which belongs to "BEST BUY" chain! In last two months we bought from them: LG Washer and Dryer, Sony 4k TV, Sony 4k DVD and other appliances. We visited a few other Best Buy stores but employees at this one are above other employees with willingness to help and to understand our needs. I was greeted by security upon entry. But after that, you would've thought I was invisible. I wasn't greeted again despite being in the vicinity of several employees. I looked lost as I attempted to find what I went there to purchase (yes, I was prepared to BUY). I eventually went on the hunt for an employee. I honestly felt that the employees I did encounter were avoiding making eye contact with me because that would lead to them actually having to do their "job." What a concept. I was just about to walk out of the store when my BF cornered an employee for help. She assisted us (they didn't have what I wanted) and suggested a different store to try. I appreciated her assistance and she was friendly. However, overall they offered very poor customer service in comparison to other Best Buys I have been to. I won't be going back, thank goodness. Not good customer service in the PC department. Came in today to buy a laptop. I was looking around and a guy in a yellow shirt blond has came up and said "do you need help" I said no not now I'm just looking. He said "slow down partner, in here to help. If you need anything I'm over here" He would not move from in front of the laptops that I wanted to look at and possibly buy. It was no need for him to be aggressive. This location has terrible customer service. I believe there was an element of sexism involved as I was in the car audio section with a man and there was no employee present. After I had talked to the people at the door THREE different times, finally someone came back to that department to help. The employee, whose name I will not disclose, helped the man and walked away when I felt I had made it clear that I also needed help. I ended up walking out of the store because I would rather take my money somewhere with actual customer service skills. Audio express is right around the corner and is 100% better than best buy for any car audio needs. If I really needed something from Best Buy, I'd rather drive to a farther location just because the service was that bad. read more

Super irritated! Bought a Bose sound system for just under $1000 and the sales person acted like he was doing me a favor by "throwing in" the blue tooth adapter. Come to find out Best Buy threw the adapter in as a bundle because the new Bose models were coming out and the blue tooth is built in. After spending that much money there, I would expect the sales person to at least clue me in! Shady business trying to get rid of old stock. Now I'm waiting 4 weeks for the blue tooth adapter because they don't even have the stupid things in stock anymore. read more

Their staff has exceptional customer service. We purchased two Mac book pro computers, one for me and one for my mother whom isn't very familiar with Mac. My mom asked several questions and the lady who specializes in helping with apple answered each and every question very calmly and respectfully. We were in there for about 2 hours and another gentlemen ended up ringing us up ( which was another 20 min process to get account set up etc) and he was also very patient and even interacted with my daughter while I was trying to handle business with my mother. It's an electronic store. That about the it. Their customer service is non existent. You can wander the isles forever, seeing staff members all over the place, Yet not one of them stops to ask if you have any questions or need help finding anything. The cashiers are like brain dead zombies. I get asked every time "Do you have our rewards card?" I say "no." They then continue to ring me out without even telling me about it. Customer loyalty is important in retail. Your doing it wrong Best Buy. I hope that these yelp reviews really make you look at your company and fix it. After reading the reviews below I'm surpised at how much negativity I can see. Ive lived by this Best Buy for 7 years now and have frequented it like any other normal person that goes to Best Buy. I've always had good experiences with this store. Today was the best by far! I purchased an Open Box Item (Pioneer Deck for my truck) off of their website and it was listed in Excellent Condition with all parts. When I opened the box it was just the deck and wiring harness but the harness was missing wires and the deck was in pretty rough shape. I was incredibly disappointed and went into this Best Buy to try and exchange it for the NIB model that they had but found out that the one that I purchased was actually no longer being sold by Best Buy anymore and they had upgraded to the most recent model. When I walked in I went to the customer service desk and was helped by an incredibly nice woman that said sorry she couldn't help me with discounting the comparable but brand new model that they were selling now but did offer to give me store credit to use to purchase a different model and pay the difference. I originally bought the "open item" because it was listed as excellent condition and with all parts. The price difference of the open box and the new in box was $15 so I though I was making a score of a deal on a great deck. By the time it was shipped and to my door the sale they had on my new in box model was over and it was sold out across the US so I lost out on the great pricing and was stuck with this damaged deck. The woman at the counter pointed me to the Manager (Davey) and said maybe he could help me more than she could. Davey was incredibly friendly and understanding of the deck situation and after explaining my situation he went into the back personally and grabbed the comparable, new in box model and did an even exchange on the deck. He apologized for something in that condition being mailed out and told me to have a good night. I walked out of there with a huge smile on my face and really was very happy with how he and the customer service rep handled everything. I know they see people all day trying to return items or ask for ridiculous exchanges but I truly felt helped and taken care of in this situation with absolutely no negativity from their end. This is a great Best Buy location and Davey really treated the customer right. Thank you again Davey if you read this You earned a customer for life with me. read more

This place is good for printer ink and paper but the rest of the stuff is overpriced and the staff are not very knowledgeable or helpful really. The only think I like about this store is the ability to order movies, music, ink, etc. and pick it up there w/o having to go into the store. read more

My husband and I went in to trade our IPhone 5s in for the new 6s and it took 10 minutes for someone to talk to us. Not that it was busy there were just no workers around. Then we had one woman ask us if we were next but help someone else instead. Finally we did get someone to help us. He discussed our current phone plan and our other options. Store #249 at Thunderbird and the Interstate 17 in Phoenix, this is the worst Best Buy I have been to, the management is horrible while the staff tries to do their job. Took my phone to the "Freak Squad" that was purchased less than six months ago at this location. They said they would send it to the manufacturer for replacement or repair the next day. I asked them to expedite as this a business phone. TWO DAYS LATER I get a call that it is a firmware issue (no shit Dick Tracy, we knew that from your four other employees) and that I had to send it back, that work is not "what they do".
