Service alone prevents me from trying a second time. Ordered on a Tuesday night, one person in line, ordered from another truck for my kids while I waited.... Then I waited... and waited... and 55 minutes after I ordered, I received my order. Before someone defend with "online orders"... there's 3 employees and 2-3 ovens, I have one in my back yard, it takes all of 2 minutes for a pizza, there was not 50 minutes of online orders, and even if there was... if you have a single customer waiting, with a million online orders... make the customer in front of you happy... The pizza tasted good, but the bottom was completely burnt--almost black and impossible to scrape off. We ended up eating only the top of the pizza because the bottom was simply inedible. It was a shame because the pizza itself had good flavor. I think the oven needs to be cleaned. read more

The supreme pizza was fantastic!!! Everything from the balance of toppings to the crispy crust was spot on. The house sausage is amazing and, the veggies were cooked perfectly. We wondered if the peppers and onions may have had a light sauté because they didn't get blackened, charred edges that take away from their flavor. The pie alone is worth the visit; however, the friendly chef takes it up to and over the top!!! We're visiting for 10 days and glad we fount this early in our stay--it's likely that we'll have it again before traveling home. Sure enough, right at 5:30 it was waiting for us--hot and fresh. The staff was super friendly and even thanked us for waiting, which is always appreciated. This time we went with the Scampi Pizza and the Frank Pizza, and both were absolute hits. The scampi had that garlicky, buttery goodness with perfectly cooked shrimp, while the Frank brought bold, savory flavors that made every bite better than the last. Worth seeking out. They do make seriously good pizzas. Well blistered crust with proper charring for added bitterness. Pillowly on the edges, chewy and bendable under the toppings. The garlic mushroom taste as good as it smells. Think of bread dipped in the escargot butter sauce. In fact, throwing on a dozen poached escargot wouldn't be a bad idea. So good with just the right hit of rosemary. Their supreme explodes with flavor carried by a tart tomato sauce and a picante spice in the pepperoni. Neither pie overloaded with toppings keeping the balance. Typical artisan size pies average $20. Friendly workers in a non descript truck with two blazing pizza ovens. How they all fit and the guy with the peel doesn't knock the other two ladies out of the truck is amazing. Not easy to find (they don't update IG regularly). Good luck! Finally got to try this amazing pizza! Food truck outside the Residence Inn in Kapolei. Chris was making all the pizzas. The wait for 2 pies was 45 minutes. So we went inside to the bar for drinks. The pizza actually was done sooner than that so Chris remade the pie so it was nice and fresh. I appreciate that! We ordered the garlic mushroom pizza and the regular with sausage. The pies were $21 each. The crust was really good and the pizza was cooked to perfection! He uses a brick fire oven and rotate the pizza so it gets cooked the right way. The sauce was tasty and the toppings were delish! The garlic mushroom was topped with a lot of mushrooms, the sauce was light, and the garlic taste was just right! I've been to this place two times now and I probably won't be returning for a third. The first time I went the pizzas were delicious and cooked perfectly. We got the Garlic Mushroom and their hot honey pizza. Both were delicious, but the Garlic mushroom pushed ahead in the flavor department. We were thrilled with our pizzas despite the long wait time and thought this could become a new favorite spot. Fast forward to our second visit. We ordered the Garlic Mushroom and a basic Cheese pizza. Once again the flavors were there, but both pizzas were burnt. We also waited a very long time again despite ordering online and showing up at the time they gave us to pick up our pizzas. The inconsistency in the cooking of their pizzas is why I won't be returning and I'm not paying 20 dollars a pizza just to hope it isn't burnt. read more

I'm t was pretty easy to find them, and only knew they were here today because of their instagram post. So if you want to know where they'll be it's best to follow them on IG. Today they were in Hoopili from 5-8 across the street from Trapresso and right around the corner from the Domino's Pizza which I thought was pretty funny. It goes to show they know their pizzas will sell no matter if there's competition! I ordered the BSP Pizza - $22 Pepperoni, jalapeños, pineapple, honey with spicy marinara sauce. The pizza could have done without the honey for my preference because I don't like sweet elements on my savory food but thought I'd try it since they leave it as a specialty pizza on their menu. The pineapple is in super small diced so it's not aggressive like they do with "Hawaiian pizzas"....everything else on the pizza just works and it tasted great. The crust was thin but not too thin that it couldn't hold the toppings. Would I buy it again? No, because I'm a savory person but will try their mushroom one next time or just a plain pepperoni. Always wanted to check out the Waianae Makeke on Saturdays but we always heading to beach and don't want to have perishables. But today just went there. I almost passed this food truck and luckily recognized the menu from IG food influencers otherwise I might have kept going. But this amazing little pizza truck did not disappoint. I can't even believe how they make pizza in there. My hubs and I opted for the Scampi Pizza. So damn good. And it only took like 10 min. It's a 6 slice 12" pizza. Was kind of perfect imo to share with the hubs. $21 not bad for gourmet pizza. You could tell how fresh the crust was. I recommend letting it cool for about 10 min to let the toppings set. We finally had the opportunity to try Best Side Pies. It's an absolutely amazing experience eating their artisan pizzas. . The foundation for their pizzas is the great care and attention to detail that goes into making the perfect dough. The toppings are prepared expertly with fresh quality ingredients. We tried the Bee Sting Pizza, the Garlic and Mushroom Pizza, and the Shrimp Scampi Pizza. My personal favorite is the Bee Sting (BSP) Pizza that drizzle of honey at the end gives it the perfect balance of sweet and savory. My wife and neighbors were equally divided trying to choose between the Garlic Mushroom and the Shrimp Scampi Pizzas. The Shrimp Scampi pizza is served with Lemon wedges. Drizzle it over the pizza and especially on the crust, it adds a nice citrus note to the pizza ( it really completes the taste profile). It was well worth the wait to finally experience true pizza artisans. We'll definitely be visiting them again soon. My Ohana really enjoyed these artisan-crafted old world style pizzas made (to go) with local ingredients, and fired in one of two truck-mounted propane ovens. Flavors are rich (mushroom and garlic), indulgent (supreme everything), and traditional (Margherita), with new variations and varieties coming out weekly. The crust is authentic and traditionally made with olive oil (instead of the ones made by chain franchises with genetically modified tasteless canola oil processed in preservative factories)... Such a treat to find an authentic pizza chef on the "best side". The name says it all! The owner is amazing at the open fire pizza cooking. The food truck set up is pretty cool and the ability to pop out so many pizzas impressive. Ordered the supreme pizza and it is so good. The ingredients were fresh. The sausage on the pizza was fresh pulled and formed and had a nice spice to it. Definitely coming back to try the other pizza. Wasn't able to take pictures of the pizza because how fast we inhaled it. Amazing pizza out of a food truck! One of the best pizzas I've had on the island. Located on Kunehi St. fronting Marriot Residence Inn. I got their Supreme pizza. Without going into all the little details, I'll just say it's friggin' good! They use flaming ovens to cook the pizza in their truck. The 2 local guys running it are friendly & cool. Had this place bookmarked on Yelp for months, and the day I was ready to try, I called to make sure they were open. The were.. but were at Waianae Farmer's Market that Saturday morning. I waited till Tuesday, when they are in Kapolei (parked alongside Starbies / in front of Residence Inn. We got there just when they opened, but their ovens were already blazing. Was too busy scarfing the delicious pizza down to take a photo. The guys at BSP were super friendly: chopped it up w/ my husband, made sure they got our orders clear and even asked if either one of us were military. Hubs got the Supreme and I got the Garlic Mushroom. Pizza for dinner in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii... My friend, Donna, and I were meeting for dinner at Bad Weather Bar (inside of Yoas). She noticed the pop-up pizza event (every Wednesday and Friday from noon to 5pm) and suggested that we try it! Okay! Parking is free and easy in the lot. Service is friendly and helpful! We dined inside of Yoas - without air conditioning. The electric fans were on, but outside was cooler.
