Carolina Chopped Pork sandwich with hand cut fries & cole slaw
    Eugene S.

My wife was in the mood for BBQ tonight so we decided to try Bethany Blues. We were pleasantly surprised with our meals. Overall, we have not had good BBQ at restaurants in the past. Tonight was the exception. The BBQ and the service we received was very good. My wife had the brisket cheesesteak and I had the Carolina chopped pork sandwich with hand cut fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Timber Jack provided smooth R&B guitar music while we dined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good food, huge beer selection and reasonable prices make this restaurant worth checking out.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food, lots of places to sit, plenty of TVs for sports folks, and great service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here before a matinee down the road, and even on a football Sunday with the Birds playing, it wasnt too loud and our service was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has a lot of hits, and I like the touch of cornbread while we were deciding. Like many good BBQ places, Bethany Blues has their own sauces tableside, and they are really good. I opted for a healthier option of pulled chicken over the house salad with blue cheese. Very tasty and big! The meal portion was plenty of food and the chicken was quite good. Definitely a good receptacle for the Carolina style bbq sauce. The burgers did look quite good and will have to get on a return. Big ups to our sever, immediately clocked that I could drink a diet pepsi or two, really kept my glass full. Great experience and would come back!

We stopped in for a drink and an appetizer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room was closed but the bar and lounge were both open.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got seated in the lounge and there was live music in the bar (Electric Smoke). They were pretty good. Patrons were up and dancing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender who waited on us were attentive. We got a bloody mary and orange crush. The crab dip appetizer with chips was pretty amazing. Overall, a great experience.

Came highly recommended and don't regret it at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very welcoming and friendly staff with ample amount of seating and great vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The brisket nachos were tasty and enough to satisfy the whole table with still having enough left over. The oldbay butter wings were also a bit crispy on the outside with the right amount of seasoning and moist on the inside. The ultimate bbq platter was a hit flavor all around in each of the meats, turkey not dry and seasoned perfectly. Smoky and sweet flavors throughout the entire platter. The cornbread also good and moist kids enjoyed that very much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great place for families, friends and dates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to come back !

Sat at the bar and Mike was our bartender. He took good care of us and had good convo. Ordered the crab dip. It was very good just seemed like a small portion to me. The cheeseburger and fries were excellent. The smoked olde fashioned was perfect. Reasonably priced for the area. Would def return:)

Every year my crazy man goes running into the freezing ocean. They call him a Polar Bear, and this is his 28th year doing this to raise money for Special Olympics. Since the pandemic they've kept their "Plunge on your own" option, which we love because it's hard to keep track of your Bear in the massive crowds. While we could plunge anywhere, we still enjoy going down to Rehobeth in the off season. Doing this also allows us to get to Bethany Blues for Sunday brunch. Pre-pandemic they had a big buffet of food- but only until 2 PM and with a 1 PM plunge it wasn't happening and. That's gone now. In its place is the Ultimate Breakfast Sampler. It's nearly the size of the table and full of options. Fruit. Yogurt. Bacon Biscuits - with or without sausage gravy. BBQ - beef AND pork. So much more. It's a LOT of food, the three of us could not finish. It was also delicious. Freshly made food, great flavors. Service was great, friendly, efficient and responsive. Highly recommend.

    great bar. Friendly bartenders.

Loved this Bbq Blues bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great entertainment the night I was there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I sat at the bar and ordered the St. Louis ribs. They were delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was good and I loved the vibe in the bar area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The Ultimate BBQ Sampler is one of the greatest meals value-wise in the area. 3 pounds of BBQ splits perfectly between 2 people and doesn't break the bank, not to mention the flavor and quality is exceptional! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is unique and almost feels more preppy than it does a BBQ joint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu.

Bethany Blues was amazing! There were a lot of people waiting but the hostess gave us a good estimate on the wait time. Everyone was professional and kind. When we were seated, our waitress was Jen. She has a phenomenal memory. She took care of us right away, got our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. All our dishes were delicious. I ordered the spinach salad with grilled chicken. All the toppings were generous. For appetizers we ordered the wings and crab dip. The crab dip with made with Mayo instead of cream cheese, it was runny but not bad. It came with plenty of chips for a party of 4 to share. The Black & Bleu Brisket Burger was my favorite, the beef was so juicy and all the toppings were yummy. The side of Mac and cheese was bland. My brother ordered the pull pork and I will say the meat was very dry. It was on a thick bun which was also extremely dry. The food was great, the location is huge with plenty of free parking. It was clean too.

Tried the Texas three step- had a choice between 2 types of ribs and picked 2 more: picked brisket and pulled pork. The meats were a bit bland. Also weren't covered in sauce, which I actually prefer. With the bbq sauces anyway, they were good. I liked the Carolina sauce which was sweet, mixed with the spicy one, which was not too spicy. Others enjoyed their burgers. Fried pickles was a favorite. Saw a chalkboard with different daily specials and karaoke/live music schedule. Nice decor. Staff was very attentive and upbeat.

Been there twice for take out. The brisket was over cooked. On our complaint, a second order was given. Not better. Haven't been back.

I didn't have any money but planned to come back w my car. WOW this place is great! First off, the 2 owners/cooks are the nicest, most laid back dudes. We ordered a brisket sandwich platter and a pulled pork sandwich platter. The platter came w 2 sides. The choices yesterday were greens, coleslaw, potato salad, and corn bread. We chose corn bread and greens and also greens and coleslaw. Yesterday they also were giving away a drink w the platter altho I'm not sure that you always get that. Everything was delish!! But the greens were the best greens I have ever eaten in my life. They were unbelievable - and before we left we ordered a pint of more greens to take home. The meals are extremely well priced and I'm regretting not stopping years ago!!

We enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere so much that we made it a point to come back the following year. That second visit was just okay. The food and service weren't quite as good, but we chalked it up to an off day and decided to give it another chance this year. Unfortunately, the third visit was the worst of the three. We were initially seated near the stage where the music was so loud that we could barely hear each other talk. To their credit, the host was accommodating and moved us to another table when we asked. However, our server's response was disappointing. She made a passive-aggressive comment along the lines of, "That's fine if you move, I just won't make as much money." Not exactly something guests expect to hear when simply asking for a quieter table. The food was bland and arrived at different times. Some dishes were cold by the time they reached the table. Several drinks were forgotten, and we had to remind our server multiple times before receiving them. We also spoke with management about our experience, but they seemed largely uninterested and didn't appear concerned about addressing the issues. The one bright spot is the outdoor area. It's a great space with lawn games, a playground, and plenty of room to relax. If you're looking for a place to have a drink outside and let the kids play, it serves that purpose well. For us, though, the combination of poor service, inconsistent food quality, and lack of concern from management means we won't be returning.
