Came around 10:30 AM on a Sunday and it was PACKED. The line didn't seem to move for 7 minutes. I ended up find it out you can order online. I decided to step out of line and do that. The place is tiny, but we took a seat and waited 8 minutes for the pick up to be ready, at which time, I would have just finished ordering in person. We got an iced and hot vanilla caramel coffee. I think the hot came out with better flavor. We also got the elote avocado toast. It was more like warm bread than toast. It missed the crunch for the bread. We like how their theme goes throughout the store with their honeycomb tiles on the wall. Their menu is also in the shape of a comb and it is very neatly put together. I needed a mid-afternoon pick-me-up and found Better Buzz as I was walking around on a nearly empty battery. Perfect timing! I was thrilled to find that they had a selection of pastries and drinks-just what I needed to recharge my battery and fill my belly. I ordered the orange matcha and a cranberry muffin-lots of citrus and probably enough sugar to bounce me into tomorrow. But it was delicious and I wasn't complaining. The décor and ambience is bright and fun. There's seating both indoor and outdoors; we opted to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine on a warm January day. I love love love Better Buzz and always make it a point to visit several times while in San Diego. This Coronado location is awesome bc it's right on Orange and is something I could get before heading into work on NASNI. We tried a few things: an açaí breakfast smoothie bowl, a ham and cheese croissant sandwich, the cinnamon foam cold brew (amazing) and banana bread and chocolate cookie from the baked goods. They always have the best seasonal drinks available, a huge drink menu, decent amount of food with sandwiches, açaí, smoothies, and toasts, as well as cute merch for sale. Love that there is now a Better Buzz on Coronado! yay! Parking is street free for two hours and there is a bathroom in the back for customers. Also, make sure you sign up for rewards and give your number when you make a purchase. read more

A friend told me to try out Better Buzz Coffee in the San Diego area, and her recommendation was spot on. It takes a lot for a coffee place to impress me, but the Better Buzz Coffee location on Coronado island definitely hit all the right notes with me. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating with bright and welcoming interiors. The branding was creative, and the environment was excellent for hanging out or getting some work done, as many were doing when I visited. The mocha drink I ordered was prepared to perfection, being strong and flavorful, without being excessively sweet. I would be a regular at Better Buzz since it was superior to any mocha I've had at a Starbucks. Although I didn't get any food, they have what seemed to be a decent menu of food and pastry items (pastry items looked delicious). Prices are a bit in the higher side, but not unreasonable given that they serve up quality caffeinated drinks. They have over 20 locations in the Southern California/San Diego area, so definitely recommend a visit versus your typical chain coffee places that you can find everywhere. read more

I've been to better buzz so many times but this visit was a miss. We ended up being there for about 45 mins. First my food order was put in wrong, so I let the people know oh hey I didn't order this. So they said they'd remake it. I waited a little bit and then ended up going to the window because it has been almost 15 mins. I finally said something and all the staff said was oh sorry someone must have taken it. So then it had to be remade for me again... I feel like they could have a better system because I was so frustrated having to wait the rest of the bachelorette party wait for 45 mins. read more

First time visiting a San Diego Better Buzz, and my experience was amazing!! Meg was absolutely INCREDIBLE and sooo helpful. She told me about the pastries and the San Diego exclusives, her energy was awesome and she absolutely matched mine, very excited to help. It's always a good sign when I walk into a coffee shop and see cool alt people working there :) The vibe of the cafe was so cozy too! Most locations I've visited don't have such cozy lighting and booths. Anyway, I got the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate kids size, which was also steamed to a kids temperature which is exactly what I wanted without even having to ask. 11/10! read more

This is the newest Better Buzz location to open. Decorations were very nice, clean, and modern. There is no drive thru and street parking can be a little difficult. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was nice. However, there were a few issues. We ordered a hot Pumpkin Spiced Latte which was good. We also ordered the iced Pumpkin Spiced Latte which we could not drink. The drink was too thick and every sip was just a bunch of pumpkin mix or something. No matter how much we stirred it up, it did not get better. Sadly, we had already left by the time we tried the drink, so we could not go back in to try to get a replacement. We also ordered the Ube Cookie. We waited around a bit for our cookie and had to follow-up with the staff. They had forgotten about our cookie. The cookie tasted more like a sugar cookie. Could not taste the ube. All we could taste was the sugar from the frosting. The frosting and the sprinkles were not needed. We will probably give them some time to iron out the kinks before we head back and give them another try. We know their potential since we go to their other locations. read more

So glad this was right by the hotel I was staying at. I went a couple times with friends and ordered the iced pumpkin chai and the hot white chocolate peppermint mocha. The inside was very cute and on theme for the name, and the service was pretty quick. They had samples out the second time I went, which was great. I was able to try the cookie butter cold brew. I would come back here again but maybe make a couple edits to my order and have it a touch less sweet. read more

This was my go to spot on a work conference. I visited close to 4 times throughout the week. The coffee was incredible and the atmosphere and music were the upbeat coffee house vibes you forgot you needed on a sunny afternoon. If you get a pastry, get a warmed pistachio croissant that they bring in from a local bakery. The additional portion of pistachio that sits on top gives the an optimal ration of flaky pastry to sweet, floral nutty goodness. She immediately gave super helpful suggestions and actually took the time to ask what kinds of flavors I usually like and recommended the perfect drink-honestly better than anything I would've picked myself. Not only did she help me find something that fit my taste perfectly, she made an off-menu drink, which made me feel special. You can tell she knows what she's doing because it came out balanced, smooth, and exactly how she described it. On top of all that, Lindsey was genuinely friendly and had a great sense of humor.
