Wow ... an iced horchata shouldn't take almost 30min and it was so hot in there, everyone was sweating. Seems like the order your drink is made is slightly random and VERY dependent on the barista. The servers seemed committed but the wait was ridiculous. Ambiance was crowded and if they're gonna make you wait that long, they need way more air conditioning !!! read more

This was my first time trying Buzz coffee. I gotta admit that I'm veryyy picky with coffee and not easily impressed. Drink 5/5 Ordered a large iced vanilla bean latte 50% sweet. The vanilla bean syrup is made in house which I thought was unique. Then asked for more vanilla bean syrup on the side and slowly sweetened it more. The drink was absolutely perfect! It was so so delicious. Even my partner who's not a coffee drinker couldn't put it down. Service 4/5 The girl at the cashier was sweet and suggested this drink when I told her I don't want an overly sweet drink. However, when I asked the Barista for more vanilla bean syrup, she just looked at me and grabbed it without saying a word.. Ambiance 5/5 It's a very cute and aesthetically pleasing coffee shop. I love their branding with the bees and "Life is better Buzzed" line. They have plenty of seating if you want to hang out. It think it's a bit too loud and crowded for studying/doing work but they have wifi. Price 5/5 My large drink was $7.59 and it was worth every penny! I think the price is average nowadays for a large latte. Overall Would definitely visit Buzz again when I come back to SD and the other drinks! read more

I love Better Buzz, so I was super excited to stop by their new location. The inside was nice and clean. The line was long but I thought they did a pretty good job getting it down quickly. The girl who took my order was super nice & friendly. I got my usual Iced Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk. I got a drink for my husband as well. My drink came out super quick, but husband we waited at least 8 minutes for and they only put in 2 shots, but didn't say anything because we were just happy to finally get our order. Was definitely disappointed about the wait we had to get our coffee, but on the upside they provided very good customer service. I also like the fact that they open at 5am. read more

I really love this brand, and the location is super convenient for grabbing coffee on the go--which I appreciate a lot. It's definitely my go-to pick-me-up spot in the area. That said, the drinks can taste a bit watered down often enough to notice. It's not a dealbreaker, but I do hope it's something they can work on. We love this place! It is your typical overpriced California coffee shop but it is SO yummy! We love the honey latte and the vanilla latte, as well as the Turkey pesto sandwich. The service is usually fairly quick, given how busy it is. It's definitely not the place to sit and study or do work at, it's usually busy and pretty loud. I used to love stopping by coffee shops and studying while in college while I lived in San Diego. Recently it's not the same because I just have such a strong reaction to caffeine and sugar, as it would keep me up at night. I had to get one as I wasn't able to go to the bathroom my entire trip...unfortunately this didn't help. Which makes me wonder if it has much caffeine content or I got a watered down version? Sad. This Better Buzz is my fav out of all of them! All the staff are incredibly kind and offer nothing less than excellent, top tier service. Especially Chris, he always greets me with extremely high spirits and he always brings a huge smile to my face. The drinks and food are delicious and always come out quickly. I decided to give this place another shot because I absolutely hate leaving awful reviews, especially with the places as popular as this one. I tried to get more recommendations on coffee spots in the area and every one just pointed at Better Buzz. I really didn't wanna come back due to the experience I had earlier in the week but my gut (not my clients ) told me to go back. I do have to say that girls in the evening are a lot nicer and more pleasant than the ones in the morning. I ordered a "Caramel Vanilla best drink ever" It was actually pretty good! Fantastic alternative than that popular chain coffee shop . Would I recommend this spot to others? Based on the service I received the second time, Absolutely.
